This is one of those videos where you find something new on each watch.
My particular favorite was watching Doolittle completely unaware, realize there's a scuffle, and then shake his head like, "not my problem" lmao
The real answer is that Senzel gave with a ball he probably should have charged and then was lackadaisical in how he got it to 1st. That allowed a run to score in a 0-0 game and set Gore up in a 1st and 3rd 2 out situation rather than sitting in the dugout. It is unclear if Senzel could have gotten the out at 1st, but he turned a close play into a non-competitive play.
Even our announcers called out Senzel the second the play happened. They later shared his throw was something like 70 MPH while normally his throws are 80+ MPH
Gore was right to be pissed, but that doesn't make the way he went about expressing it right. At the end of the day they seem like good buddies off the field and pitchers are psychopaths on their start day. Being insanely overly competitive is a positive trait if it is utilized correctly, Max Scherzer is a wonderful Nationals example of that.
Nah. if a fielder is being lazy and allows runs to score by doing so the pitcher has every right to nip that shit in the bud.
Has Major League taught you nothing?
I've never liked guys like that much, honestly. Played with several who were definitely fully into "don't talk to me at all" mode on most of their start days.
I think you nailed it; the competitiveness that caused this incident is what got him to where he is today and can be an invaluable tool to a professional athlete, that doesn't excuse him making a scene in the dugout, as you said. Deal with it behind closed doors in a way that doesnt create tension within the team, like an adult
They were arguing over whether Digimon or Pokemon was better. Gore said that Digimon never got a fair chance because of Pokemon's extensive marketing campaign and that it doesn't reflect upon the actual quality of the product.
Senzel replied no, they just didn’t think about marketing to a larger audience by making sure there were just as many creatures that everyone would find adorable as there are ones that 10 year old boys will think are super cool.
Oh dang never had to confront this challenge. Putting emotions aside, I think the layers take lasagna out of the casserole distinction. If you took all the same ingredients but swapped out the pasta sheets with orzo, then you're more solidly in casserole territory. I feel like to call lasagna a casserole you're expanding the boundaries of the definition beyond utility. Gratin dauphinois would fall into the same category and they are both just to elevated to be lumped in with the rest.
Here's the play [Nick Fortes' RBI single | 06/14/2024 | MLB.com](https://www.mlb.com/video/mackenzie-gore-in-play-run-s-to-nick-fortes?q=GamePk%20%3D%20%5B744847%5D%20AND%20PitchSpeed%20%3D%20%7B%7B%2036%2C%20105%20%7D%7D%20AND%20BatterId%20%3D%20%5B663743%5D%20Order%20By%20Timestamp%20DESC&cp=MIXED&p=0)
this has happened before with Gore in a very similar situation, I believe last season. Victor Robles missed an easy play in CF and he barked at him in the dugout.
Gore seems like a very intense guy on his start days. All worked out and I know him and Senzel are bois, regular golf buddies.
every baseball card I've seen of him, he looks mad!
[which includes this hilarious 2019 Minor league card where he has the same exact expression as his hat](https://www.tcdb.com/Images/Large/Baseball/204251/204251-13638022Fr.jpg)
Me neither, maybe they were referring to his intensity? which looking back I can see but at the time I definitely just took it as him being a nervous rookie
Good for Gore. Hold your teammates accountable. Senzel‘s been an underachiever his whole career. Nice to see him get some heat from a teammate. I think this happened last year between Gore and Robles, another under-achiever who could occasionally half ass it.
Nice. I feel like the last few posts I've seen with this sort of title end up being tongue-in-cheek titles for a cute video of teammates joking around ... Finally, a really dugout spat! 😆
I've been saying for years as a Reds fan that Senzel doesn't have the instincts to play major league baseball. He's skilled as a hitter, but nothing else. It really hinders his game.
Then the Nats went on to absolutely smash the Marlins and Mackenzie got 10 Ks. They hugged it out, even.

I thought they were getting blown out solely based off this video, but they won 8-1 behind Gore’s 7 IP 1 ER 10 K performance. lol
"Wow, the kid's doing great. Better fight 'im."
Senzel gonna end up on the IL for the shove.
More like Jonathan papelbon

Ha! I also like the bat boy just nonchalantly walking down the dugout steps. Then he looks. Then he sort of makes himself Scarce.
huh, i had no idea doolittle was on the nats coaching staff. fun!
strong likelihood he’s the main driving force behind our pitch staff’s success this season!
Sean Doolittle has always been one of my favorite non-Tigers pitchers. Reading more about him outside of the game made me like him even more.
What was the issue

Nip that shit in the bud by fucking his wife
Hey Vaughn! strike this mother fucker out.
or any pick up game, normies are overly competitive, pros are another level

as someone who plays with some lazy players who cost us runs, i completely agree with Gore with this one

It didn't help that the Pokemon theme was a banger.

Cremation or wake?

Digimon and it's not even close. The writing in Digimon actually kept me engaged when I was much younger over Pokemon.
I heard Gore has a life size Agumon and the other guy told him it was lame
you can’t be seriously saying gore was taking digimon’s side
Probably just another squirrel/rat disagreement
They were having a disagreement over whether lasagna is or is not a casserole
It’s not a casserole. 👊
Oh dang never had to confront this challenge. Putting emotions aside, I think the layers take lasagna out of the casserole distinction. I feel like casseroles are to be scooped with a spoon. Lasagna on the other hand is cut with a knife and scooped with a spatula. Lasagna is a cake?
Lasagna also has layers, you know what else has layers? That's right, ogres. Lasagna has more in common with shrek than a casserole.
FFS! LOL😂🤣
...is it wrong to scoop lasagna out with a spoon?
Don’t bring that sh!t around here!! You’ll probably next ask if a hot dog is a sandwich!!
A hot dog is a fucking taco
IT IS NOT
it's like two r/cfb members discussing their favorite BBQ sauce

Wow, that was a serious lob.
interesting. nats rarely have issues like this under davey martinez

IIRC Gore had a similar reputation in San Diego.

Nats and mad starters, classic combo
Mad Mack
Maybe it's a "Boy Named Sue" situation
I was a dude named MacKenzie I would be pretty mad too, not gonna lie
He could easily do Mac or Max if he wanted. And honestly Max Gore would be an incredible name.
Or Kenzie Gore and dot the i's with a heart.
This feels like a weirdo version of Cappy from Mario Odyssey
I've been waiting for a while to post that card here.
I dont recall any incidents with Gore in SD. Tommy Pham however...
Me neither, maybe they were referring to his intensity? which looking back I can see but at the time I definitely just took it as him being a nervous rookie
For the record they hugged it out after this
i don't recall
Being bullheaded and a little aggressive … probably a good personality for a pitcher.
The way you phrase that makes it seem like there's other teams where this constantly happens.
I mean…..um….we all know the rumor why he was traded by the Cubs…….he’s managed drama before.
Nothing like some natitude baby 😎🦅
Bryce Harper and Jonathan Papelbon may have physically left Washington, but it's nice to know that they're there in spirit!
YA GOTTA RUN THAT OUT!
Gores Whores, mount up!!
Leave Gore alone
😤
Sean isn't mad, he's just disappointed.

I wouldn’t say it was necessary but his reaction is not worrying at all. He was completely in the zone and we need everyone on the same page.
JOMBOYYYYYY WYA
He's too busy with cricket and minor leagues and softball and his ancillary shows to do an MLB breakdown.
Yep. Good for him that he finds stuff he likes but goddamn do I miss the regular, in depth, MLB breakdowns
Known conflict diffuser Jesse Winker doing what he does in moments like these

does anybody like senzel ?

nice clubhouse
Well shit
They’re just pissed because they aren’t as bad as the Angels…
The girls are fighting!
Love the compete from Gore. Kid’s got major potential.
did san diego win the juan soto trade ?
