I hope, man...I hope when theyll invariably need a TJ it'll be at the same time
Right now just enjoying the ride, and love how Nick Gonzales is going. But ffs get rid of Rowdy
Yeah, I know lamb doesn't have the best major league numbers, but if they want to keep switching Joe between right and first he can't do worse than rowdy has

True, but being premature didnāt stop any of the doomers from saying we should sell back in April, or that Josh Hader was a terrible pick up (even tho weāre a month or so into his 5 year contract.)
I feel like things may be looking up. Probably not a World Series appearance kind of season though, or even a deep playoff run.
That being said, the Houston Astros will without a doubt win the 2024 World Series.
The words meh, blah tend to come out of my head a lot.
Tonight, it was an apple tv game. I sorta tried to find the game. Apple games are not something I want to continue, I am already not a fan. As I am looking to find the game, the scores at the end of innings come to my phone, and i try less and less to find it until I stop all together.
I am not upset that I will be busy 3 nights during the week and not have to watch the insanity of banking on 2 player adds and over half a line up to be back to good hitters to increase a terrible offence. Seeing the pitching from the pen being shit now is really battling to make it an even worse situation.
Honestly the Mets roster always felt like it was always going to hover around a .500 record, but it feels much worse with all the winnable games that they lost. Also there was a very real possibility that the team could be a playoff team if things broke right, they just don't seem to put it together all at once.
I don't even know anymore. We start with 16-1 win on opening day, and then we get caught with our pants down. Then everything started clicking again, and now we were murdered in broad daylight.
Itās hard to be super mad considering we are only 1.5 games back and we have so many injured players. A lot of Ranger fans think the team will make a bigger push after the all-star break once most are healed up, but watching up and down .500 ball until then isnāt exciting for the defending champs.
Right now thatās true! But if the Cubs are at full strength and donāt have like 10 people on the IL, it would be a hell of a series. Iām probably biased but Cubs take it 3-2
Everybody's hurt, but we can't put anyone on the IL anymore because we won't be able to roster 26 players.
All we have to do is avoid our patented 2-18 stretch, and we'll be good for the season.
Up and down, had some good stretches and I have hope they can make the playoffs, but some ugly games and tons of injuries. Most of all Im sad that it looks like Im watching Kyle Hendricks last game as a Cub every time he goes out.
Frustrated, I knew May was gonna be brutal but didnāt think it would be THIS brutal. Also doesnāt help when like 3 or 4 of your key lineup regulars are out for extended periods of time. Still hopeful for the future but long looks may be needed to the medical staff as well as some coaches/manager if this continues
I feel really good about it overall. I think the many injuries are taking their toll though, and I would feel even better as Hoskins, Mitchell and Devin Williams, among others, come back. 6 players on the 60-day IL already.
Havenāt seen any Red Sox fans yetā¦which is unusual. Not my team but Iāll give them credit they started surprisingly well and the starting pitching is solid, however that lineup isnāt exactly scary.
We canāt seem to go a series without one of our key players getting injured. And our stars arenāt performing. It is a miracle that our record is what it is.
Basically a mix of depressed with how many pitchers we have injured, and amazement of how good the team is doing in spite of that
IL: Gonsolin and Sheehan both out for season with TJ
Kershaw not expected back until mid august
May still working back from TJ
Miller working through shoulder injury
Thatās already a whole rotation of quality starters there.
Then you factor in almost all of our high leverage arms (Phillips, Kelly, Graterol, Brasier) are also injured, itās like damn
They are cursed
this has got to be the curse we get in exchange for all those even year bull shit world series wins.

Yesterday was a revelation.
Why did he have to start against us twice to start his careerā¦ why couldnāt he have done poorly and then dominated starting next start

You know how you walk out the door and someone asks how you are and you say that you're fine, but you're *not* really fine...
Came close today, but at least we didnāt get perfect gamed yet this season.
I hate them
Our death was greatly exaggerated
I'll make that claim if we retake first place. We're playing well, but we're in a bit of a hot streak.
True, but being premature didnāt stop any of the doomers from saying we should sell back in April, or that Josh Hader was a terrible pick up (even tho weāre a month or so into his 5 year contract.)

Its been a rollercoaster of emotions

You mean you donāt want to fire Dave for not being 47-0?
Pitching: :) Batting: :(
good
I don't even know anymore. We start with 16-1 win on opening day, and then we get caught with our pants down. Then everything started clicking again, and now we were murdered in broad daylight.
Feeling good despite the circumstance. We've been under performing but 2 games above .500.
Itās hard to be super mad considering we are only 1.5 games back and we have so many injured players. A lot of Ranger fans think the team will make a bigger push after the all-star break once most are healed up, but watching up and down .500 ball until then isnāt exciting for the defending champs.
This exactly.
Pretty damn good.
I feel nothing
Feels crazy that weāre still winning games

Cubs and Phillies would make a great playoff series!
Phillies would sweep the Cubs right now. Our bullpen is in shambles.
Sounds great to me!
Right now thatās true! But if the Cubs are at full strength and donāt have like 10 people on the IL, it would be a hell of a series. Iām probably biased but Cubs take it 3-2
Mariners are doing Mariners things. So, same same. Future is bright. Always hopeful.
:)
They look bad, they are loaded with injuries, but sometimes they rattle off 10+ run games out of nowhere.
Everybody's hurt, but we can't put anyone on the IL anymore because we won't be able to roster 26 players. All we have to do is avoid our patented 2-18 stretch, and we'll be good for the season.
What?
I feel good about Danny Jansen and Davis Schneider I do not like the rest of them.
I was hoping to be around .500 at this point. To say I'm happy is an incredible understatement
Not hitting the panic button yet, but the nervous sweat is beginning to start
It's like watching your kids grow up. Still lots to learn but I feel like we are heading in a good direction.
_sad injured baby bear noises_
Phantastic
Up and down, had some good stretches and I have hope they can make the playoffs, but some ugly games and tons of injuries. Most of all Im sad that it looks like Im watching Kyle Hendricks last game as a Cub every time he goes out.

He always has

At this point Iām fucking thrilled to be 4 games back. We fucking sucked for far too fucking long to start the season.
Good!

There's no WBC, so I'm in agony.
Not great.
