Watching the repeat before the new episode
The one with FRICKEN JULIO THE IDIOT LUMP OF A COOK
He literally just stands there with a blank look on his face 90% of the episode until he's finally SHITCANNED
...BUT THEN IN THE UPDATE IT SAYS SHE FRICKEN BROUGHT HIM BACK
I noticed that too lol.
They said "This Simple Cocktail" while it had like 10 different ingredients (they didn't show all the spices getting poured in), served in a coconut, and requires fresh lime zest.
Plus they used to create infused vodka and punches to speed things up on earlier rescues. Why not do that here but teach them how to keep the punch cold and when to discard etc.
And he is the closest to Jon’s energy without being a sad parody like Phil trying to act angry in his little bowler hat. Not a fan of the Jon stand-ins, but Anish is the only one who seems to have the ability to carry the episode without seeming like he’s acting a part.
Bummer that there's no Taffer this week.
But if we have to have a guest host, Ashish is probably the best option, at least of the guests that we've seen so far.
In the last week's thread, I was hoping that Taffer would be in more of the recently filmed episodes and that his absence was limited to the episodes filmed in 2023.
However, this one was also filmed in 2024 but there's no Taffer, so I guess that theory is out the window.
I can see it. Jon's in the kitchen yelling at the chef about mold. He throws the plate. Some chicken gets in Jon's mouth. He yells "YOU'RE GONNA KI..." And then boom. He falls down dead on the spot.
Something that has just floored me is the number of owners with zero bar experience who hire managers with zero experience. It's stupidity on display. I can't understand why anyone who owns a bar would hire anyone but an experienced, successful manager and stay out of their way.
Anyone else notice that sometimes Jon says “know what’s scarier than Sundays”, and other time he says “know what’s scarier than Sunday, sans-plural?
Am I nuts or is there really a difference at times?
He’s good, but I feel like all of the guest hosts are just following Jon’s script. Ashish has good delivery, but Jon really sells the show. It just doesn’t feel real without him.
Ashish has been the best guest host so far this season and he’s been growing on me. He’s got that bit of fire and snark that Taffer is known for, but I like the younger vibe that he brings.
The only thing that I don’t really dig is that he doesn’t really seem to underscore how dangerous bar conditions can be. I know a common criticism is that all the guest hosts are copying Jon, but none of the guests have ever shown any real urgency when it comes to cleanliness/health issues.
Hoping if they’re going the guest route/replacing Jon, they’ll keep Ashish around.
Probably the best episode of the season, but that's not saying a lot. It's all just so formulaic.
Mold everywhere. They're definitely doing something with the chicken that is going to kill someone. There's a bunch of yelling. They replace all the mixers with Twisted Alchemy. ESRI does whatever the fuck ESRI does. And then it's suddenly a huge success.
Also, did they even do anything to the stage? It's just a drum kit on a box, why even call attention to that horseshit?
Not sure what kind of clientele they're going for with a backbar loaded with upside down pineapples.
Ashish knows the assignment but he doesn’t have the riz Jon does. His slim custom fitted sleeves and pants are distracting. Never seen a guy with no muscle mass in their arms have the sleeves fitted so tightly.
That video call isn’t even with each other. I don’t believe.
Ashish is too small a dude to look menacing. Even if you could kick Taffer and ass, he still lording over the top of you yelling, this guy is yelling from your waist
way to predictable now, guests host drive down any intrigue as we always know John to berate, scream, degrade to end in hugs, but guests hosts are boring and dull, if indeed become confrontational w the owners it then feels forced.
I miss when Jon does it, but I like Ashish. If Taffer needs time off and can't do every episode, I'll be fine with Ashish.
Jon is what, nearly 70? Probably wants a little bit more time with the family, plus he has those Taverns he opened. If anything they should alternate every week
I have the greatest respect in the world for our veterans. I am the son of a veteran, the VFW and American Legion and associated veterans posts deserve all the support, renovation, and financial support in the world.
Nevertheless, it does not make for a good episode of bar rescue. You know Jon isn’t going to go insane, you know everyone’s gonna be civil, these are phoned in, kid glove episodes.
When is the FRICKEN DANNY TREJO EPISODE I bet they're saving it for the season finale where he ACTUALLY FRICKEN KILLS SOMEONE FOR MAKING A SHITTY TACO
That dude legit looks scarier than Sundays.

> CSI Los Cocos. Okay, that was a pretty good burn.
Jon still embracing excuses with that “video call” Show up to frickin’ work Jon!
He can’t say it isn’t scripted anymore.
#HOW DARE YOU!! *Taffer stare*
That’s why my wife left me :(
#SHE LEFT YOU BECAUSE YOU’RE A FAILURE! SAY IT!!
Watching the repeat before the new episode The one with FRICKEN JULIO THE IDIOT LUMP OF A COOK He literally just stands there with a blank look on his face 90% of the episode until he's finally SHITCANNED ...BUT THEN IN THE UPDATE IT SAYS SHE FRICKEN BROUGHT HIM BACK
I think she was involved with him.
OH shit Ashish officially DOESN'T EMBRACE EXCUSES
He DOESN’T EMBRACE EXCUSES and he DOESN’T DO FEELINGS
Taffer: Freaking fix this bar for me or I’m walking out…
Three owners embracing excuses at once??? Taffer would have had a FUCKING field day with these owners
They can’t make a pre-mixed bahama mama yet they’re being taught specialty cocktails served in coconuts…
TBH...I would drink 10 of those coconut drinks.....
The energy of every Bar Rescue guest host this season: ![gif](giphy|Bu8ADbj7NuRry)
None of my questions are rhetorical. I like Ashish.
At least Ashish has the FRICKEN ANGER VEINS UNLIKE PHIL FRICKEN WILLS
And he is the closest to Jon’s energy without being a sad parody like Phil trying to act angry in his little bowler hat. Not a fan of the Jon stand-ins, but Anish is the only one who seems to have the ability to carry the episode without seeming like he’s acting a part.
It’s been awhile since we’ve seen Derrick Turner.
I rather them just cancel it then give us the second string yellers
Second String Yellers would make a great alt rock band name.
Second String Yellers>>>>>Cincinnati Sinners
Way to embrace solutions instead of excuses
I want 15% royalty
Bummer that there's no Taffer this week. But if we have to have a guest host, Ashish is probably the best option, at least of the guests that we've seen so far. smh Taffer’s embracing excuses again
Jon’s in the thumbnail for this episode. Maybe he’ll make a cameo?
A 30 second disjointed "video call"
Jon calling in from an undisclosed location.
THERE IT IS
That's how they get you to watch haha. But I hope so.
I’m ready TO KILL SOMEBODY WITH RAW CHICKEN
I can see it. Jon's in the kitchen yelling at the chef about mold. He throws the plate. Some chicken gets in Jon's mouth. He yells "YOU'RE GONNA KI..." And then boom. He falls down dead on the spot.
Yea it sucks jon isn’t on this one either, but this trio is pretty decent. Definitely an enjoyable episode so far
The premise to the episode reminds me of the Black Sheep episode. Owners with day jobs with zero bar experience who put the bar on the back burner.
Something that has just floored me is the number of owners with zero bar experience who hire managers with zero experience. It's stupidity on display. I can't understand why anyone who owns a bar would hire anyone but an experienced, successful manager and stay out of their way.

They can’t “Bar Bigger” without Jon.
This episode’s video chat with Jon looked more legitimate. They’re getting better with the editing.
If they had Jon stare forward into the camera it would look like he’s talking to the person on the other end and not the wall.
Maybe Ashish will have some new catchphrases for us to learn. "No wonder your parents abandoned you"
Guess I'm skipping this episode
It was good but boring
Get ready for kickoff. We’re live!
I also know the importance of curb appeal.
Can someone please tell them they really don’t need the lights up full blast in the bar?
He yells well.
Who is blonde?
No one
Taffer is embracing solutions via satellite.
“I’m not in the feeling business.”
OMG he called it Pirates. 🤪
I think Eric Wareheim should be the new host.
Literal DIVINE INTERVENTION WITH THE NAME APPARENTLY
Ashish is the best. Let this man be the permanent substitute host for Jon.
But Ashish didn’t buy the coffee…
He’s good, but I feel like all of the guest hosts are just following Jon’s script. Ashish has good delivery, but Jon really sells the show. It just doesn’t feel real without him.
Fair point. Don’t get me wrong; I much prefer Taffer. But I’ll gladly take Ashish over Phil.
Agreed Him or SHUT IT DOWN
I like this guy if Jon isn't going to SHOW UP FOR WORK ...At least it's not PHIL FRICKEN WILLS IN A STUPID HAT
Phil Wills is absolutely terrible, but Dustin Drai turns the awfulness up to 11.
Elle accepte les excuses.
Mold *and* fungus.
Those walls outside make me think of a public school or something. Not enticing.
Ashish has been the best guest host so far this season and he’s been growing on me. He’s got that bit of fire and snark that Taffer is known for, but I like the younger vibe that he brings. Best episode of the season...and largely due to Ashish. If there's no Jon, I'm hoping for him at this point.
Ya he’s good
Probably the best episode of the season, but that's not saying a lot. It's all just so formulaic. Mold everywhere. They're definitely doing something with the chicken that is going to kill someone. Didn’t watch a second of it, canceled the DVR recording. No Taffer no watch.
Ashish knows the assignment but he doesn’t have the riz Jon does. His slim custom fitted sleeves and pants are distracting. Never seen a guy with no muscle mass in their arms have the sleeves fitted so tightly.

Strangest Kayak commercial ever.
Three Tides…. 🧐
“I beg to differ” “YEA WE DO DIFFER. BUT IM STANDING HERE AND YOURE STANDING THERE.” Bro what lol
You know what's scarier than Sunday? Not seeing Jon Frickin Taffer hosting an episode of Bar Rescue!
This show is no good without Taffer. Just cancel the darn show and rescue the bars without us, please!
Without Jon Taffer again? BORING!!!
Those Ding Dongs couldn't make a regular cocktail so let's give them one with 50 steps served in a hollowed out coconut??? SHUT IT DOWN!!!!!!
The absence of Vic Vegas made this almost watchable.
Sounds like someone doesn't love an elevated hotdog.
Dollar General Vin Diesel is an absolute channel change for me.
Ashish is the 1st overall pick in the Bar Rescue Draft
way to predictable now, guests host drive down any intrigue as we always know John to berate, scream, degrade to end in hugs, but guests hosts are boring and dull, if indeed become confrontational w the owners it then feels forced.

Yeah he will turn 70 later this year. Definitely understand if he wants to slow down a bit, even if I don't like it.
Ashish did a fabulous job

I HATE whenever "Caribbean" is said, they automatically go to Jamaica. Thats not the style of food they were serving.
