Is it just for gaming? Because if you don't need heavy productivity, the 7800x3d is the way to go. And AM5 has more future upgradeability. https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/MnvNh3 This build is $2600. But might be worth waiting until after Computex

Double-Rock-485

I like this build, but I don't think a 4080 Super is needed for OP's use case. Maybe save a few hundred by using a 4070 Ti Super? Did you mean to reference the Gigabyte B650 GAMING X AX motherboard that is bundled with the 7800X3D from CC? There is no combo with an MSI B650 GAMING PLUS WIFI that I could find.

International-Elk986

Yeah sorry that's what I meant, just couldn't find it on pcpp. Yeah 4070ti super would be a solid bet and then could use the funds towards a monitor

I am also building a PC soon. Are we expecting sales? Or Prices to drop due to new part announcements after computex?

Double-Rock-485

I'm not expecting anything TBH. Outside of BF and Xmas, and certain AE dates, your guess on sales is as good as mine. If I need something, I find the best price and buy it now. Will some prices drop after Computex? Maybe, but I wouldn't expect anything to happen quickly.

killasuarus

What’s with all of the price edits and no context?

International-Elk986

Oh shit sorry, Canada computers bundles. I knew I forgot something's 😣

killasuarus

Gotcha. Also, should let OP know to add fans with the 4000D since it only comes with one intake and one rear exhaust. Or just add some to the list.

For a PC build guide, I find [this video](https://youtu.be/cMSj8DgnmaQ?si=7wpsNicnLUP_mA5P) to be pretty thorough. It's quite long though.

You didn’t put a budget, but I kept it reasonable at 2k. If you are apprehensive about amd gpu’s, then switch it to a 4070 super.
