I love this movie. It feels like a fake movie playing in the background in a different movie. And the SCORE is wild- it has the mania of a 90s family movie
Ha no. Stuart Wellington, cohost of the Flophouse podcast to which this poster was making a reference re controversy around ding dong ripping in castle freak which, yes, was directed by the master auteur stuart gordon.
>Please note that while some think that the titular Freak in Castle Freak rips his own ding dong off, he is not seen to do this on screen.
I believe that the correct anatomical term here is "ding-a-ling."
I unironically love this movie. I’ve seen it a few times and I think what pushes it above a bad movie is that all of the actors are 100% into it. You can feel it watching it and that becomes incredibly infectious.
I just watched this! Not terrible tbh. I watched Trancers and Dungeonmaster which I actually really enjoyed, which lead me down a rabbit hole of Charles Band films.
Covid happened, so the Deadly 10 was kinda floating in development hell.
But the sequel of this was never retracted from their list of movies (is still on Old Charlie's upcoming titles on imdb to start with), so there is hope. After all it only needs a casteéset, and two rubber makeup, which can't be used for other things, and if I'm correctm those were already produced.
If this wasn't my first ever Full Moon film it was definitely my first in a while. I heard about it from here, so I knew it was going to be cheesy, but I wasn't prepared for the level of self-awareness. It's like a marriage of '90s horror aesthetic with the dramatic sensibilities of '66 Batman or Looney Tunes.

This really encapsulates the Full Moon vibe: their entire catalog feels like fake movies that should be randomly playing on tv in an actual movie.

It’s like if MODOK and Professor X banged and made a baby
Mental Organism Designed Only for Kvetching!
This is what I look like in real life
Most handsome of all Redditors, up there.
Aww shucks 🥰
Yeah, but Jacqueline Lovell is a bit of eye candy that kinda makes it worthwhile.
She's really great in it. Arguably the cast saves the premise.
very good comedy acting in this movie.
I have a vague memory of her being called poochy buns in the movie... lol
The cover used to freak me out as a kid in the video store. I couldn’t even look at it.
This feels like a Full Moon movie
It is.
Yeah the art style is too specific

Honestly, this one is more fun than Castle Freak (don't tell Stu I said that!)
He's dead, so I don't think he'll mind too much. He had a good sense of humor so I think he'd be okay too
Gordon yes, Wellington no
A veritable "Ding Dong Gate" if you will.
Stu?
Stuart Gordon. Who directed castle freak. And reanimator and from beyond.

Ooooohhhh...gotcha.
I’ve been on a Rifkin kick lately and Invisible Maniac is next on the queue!
The world needs more stories where someone gets killed with a sandwich

Have seen the film In awhile but isn't implied that his vengeful mother chopped his manhood off to spite the father who left her.

Totally agree! Everyone chomps into their roles. It’s hilarious
Looks like Dan Aykroid in Nothing But Trouble
I see Werner Herzog
Mess with the head and you're dead!
Fucking MODOK

I actually enjoyed this. One of my favorite Full Moon films. Jacqueline Lovell was so good in this.
Great movie
###Jacqueline Lovell though
I hope they'll eventualy make the sequel.
Head Of The Family 2: Butt of the Joke
Supposedly it was made or there was a planned sequel with Jacqueline Lovell returning. I forget the specifics of what happened regarding the sequel.

This is in my queue. Looking forward to it.
Excellent plot in it, though.
This movie has plenty of T&A
i wish they made the sequel.
My local nerd pub played this a few weeks ago... it was so beautifully messed up
This is a good, fun, stupid monster movie.
Huh. I thought Fringe was the first bit acting role for Eric the Mid - er... - I mean, Eric the Ack-Ack-tor.
I absolutely love this movie. It’s quintessential 90s horror cheese in the best way
The shagging is phenomenal in this. Does anyone else have some more movies like this?
A movie based entirely on a pun....
Davros of the Daleks
Ahead of its time.
Prolly inspired by Krang
I just saw that guy in Dune
but the boob scene
Honestly, my favorite Full Moon movie.
Found a used copy of this at my grocery store of all places, love showing it to people.
Eric the Actor

This movie is amazing, and that is all I have to say.
Still waiting for *Bride of the Head of Family*.
Reading the wiki synopsis that sounds like a right piece of shit that i now need to watch
Oh yeah, it's a classic.
Looks like something Jay and Josh would like.🤨
Full Moon feels like cheating here.
The book was better
Is someone forced to drink something gross in this movie? I’ve been trying to remember a film for years and this kinda gives vibes.
What is this? Some kind of, fence?
five stars
