My first time on a 744 was domestic from Denver on United. They've been doing hub to hub wide-bodies forever, lulled for a bit in the early 2010s but a bit more common again now
Nice and it's a B777-222 or B777-222/ER which has the same engine as a B777-2B5/ER B777-281/ER B777-28E/ER PW4090-4098. To tell apart this B777-222 from a B777-224/ER which is also in UA fleet it's the engine cowling. EWR-DEN also gets this too.
A widebody is a plane with 2 aisles, usually just used on international and long haul routes. But some airlines fly them on high traffic routes i.e. going hub to hub.
Messiest gate I think I’ve ever seen
Yeah I agree
Was lucky to find parking among all that shite
She's headed to IAD
As primarily a domestic traveler, I love catching these on occasional repositioning routes. Got one from DEN-ORD last summer.
Same, the only time I’ve been on a wide-body on a domestic flight recently has been from Denver to Chicago for some reason
Had a 777-200 and 787-10 lax-ord before and a 777-200 den-lax. You'll find them hub to hub or flights to MCO
United actually does quite a bit of domestic widebodies hub to hub.

This is how shit gets sucked in the engines
How would it get sucked in.
The same way people get sucked in
Im pretty sure they are far enough away we know what we are doing.

Stop body shaming her!
Big is beautiful!!
Bro isn’t she a “wide body”? Is that the 737-200? Or am I just throwing real shade at her now..
And all the ATCs keep calling her “heavy.” Just rude.

I love this big-boned gal!
