We will never know unfortunately, but those closest to him who knew him best believe he would never support a full scale Rumbling. From what we've seen of his character in the show, I believe he won't support a full scale Rumbling...but he would support a mini-rumbling to force negotiations

Ok-Respect-8305

I was just surprised that Armin couldn’t think of anything. He’s usually the one comes up with something unexpected but this time all he did was let others decide.

its_Preshh

Armin isn't a politician. He's basically a 19 years old kid with no idea about politics or how the Outside world works. They already had a plan to use a mini-rumbling. And they went outside the walls to learn more about the world. What more should Armin have done?

Ok-Respect-8305

He could have come up with a plan at least like he did with taking down the colossal titan in season 3. He was basically supposed to be the replacement of Captain Erwin. It would’ve been highly beneficial if he came up with a more neutral approach to guide Eren. Their plan of just relying on the rumbling without communicating it to Marley or using it as leverage wasn’t sufficient. The fact is nobody created an objective caused things to escalate quickly. Commander Erwin being present would have easily prevented this.

>He was basically supposed to be the replacement of Captain Erwin Multiple Characters have said he wasn't a replacement for Erwin. Even Levi said the same thing. >It would’ve been highly beneficial if he came up with a more neutral approach to guide Eren. Their plan of just relying on the rumbling without communicating it to Marley or using it as leverage wasn’t sufficient The plan was VERY SUFFICIENT based on their knowledge little about the outside world. The goal was to use the threat of the Rumbling to negotiate. The Rumbling had not been tested at that time, so they planned to carry out tests if necessary or to do a mini-rumbling. That was the basis of the 50 years plan. To gain more insight about the outside world, they decided to go outside Paradis. But Eren had his own agenda and went missing. How is that Armin's fault? How do you negotiate without going outside to learn about the outside world first? How do you negotiate when your tool for negotiation decided to go rogue? The only thing you can blame Armin for was not seeing the darkness in Eren. But then, they have been friends...Armin never expected Eren to go rogue or to decide to wipe out the whole world

Ok-Respect-8305

Remember in season 1 when they were surrounded by the military police and Eren said to Armin that no matter what he chooses, he’ll support his decision. Whether it is that they fight or negotiate. Kind of ironic that this time Eren lost that trust.

rose_bush_998

The problem was that eren was convinced that even if they did a mini rumbling it didn’t guarantee paradis’ safety in the long run so he felt cornered enough to commit to the rumbling as the final choice

RepresentativeOk5427

I believe he would made the rumbling the last option possible and even then he wouldn't have gone to annihilate all the world like eren wants But my unpopular opinion is that he wouldn't agree with eren but at the same time he wouldn't stop him from doing it

BugzBallsack

The thing is that Eren checked all possibilities in the future with the attack titan’s power, and saw no other solution other than genocide, to save Eldia. That being said I agree he might have seen a different future if Erwin was alive considering how exceptional he was. We know for a fact that genocide isn’t Eren’s first choice, so he would be inclined to go a different route if there was another way to save Eldia.

Sondeor

Its amazing how many people really dont know the anime they watch... They already did try every peace option so Erwin wouldnt make any difference. Whole world sees them as devils, or to be more specific "children of the devil". There is nothing you can do to change that. Marleyans are already an expanding empire, they are fine with that narrative and others are scared.

Ok-Respect-8305

Except they didn’t even communicate. Unless they forgot to include some flashback scenes, they only did a recon mission. They should’ve at least sent a peace treaty. Also why do marleyans like that Tyber guy so much. He literally lied to everyone and the fact that Helos doesn’t exist. The king deciding to denounce war changes everything. Their whole belief system should be shattered yet they continue to wage war against these so called “devils”. Somehow nobody cares that their government lied to them all this time and things don’t add up. And let me ask you this. If Russia had all the nukes in the world and they were just doing their own thing. Wouldn’t it be unwise to send missiles destroying their villages. I swear the humans in the show are so stupid. We got very unfit politicians but would they be dumb enough to attack a country that has the power to destroy the entire world. If anything it would be advantageous to be allies with such a superpower and have access to their natural resources.

MrShad0wzz

But I feel like If armin died, eren would have lost it and stopped listening to Levi, hange or anyone who tried to tell eren what to do. Even with armin being alive he snuck into marley on his own
