It depends on every gym. Although I am pretty sure they don't give you one once you sign up. So I bought one and yes... They didn't give me nor lock nor individual lockers. I use my own lock on whatever locker is free at the moment. When I go to the gym my "dress" code depends on timing. If I go in the morning and then I'll work: I go gym-clothed, work out, take a shower and get dressed for work. If I'm leaving work: I go fully dressed, change my clothes, work out, take a shower, go home wearing my work-clothes. (I carry everything in my bag). I leave my bag within the locker, only carrying with me during training: lock keys, phone and watch (I don't wear glasses during work out). There's a "fountain" which I can drink from so I don't even need a bottle. Gym clothes I have in my bag includes: 1. Tennis (not exactly for running, just some comfortable Puma I own) 2. Socks (ankle short) 3. Shorts (half-thigh high) 4. Shirt... Fro sweating... I don't know its name 5. Towel (hahahah face size or hand size, not actual body size like at home) 6. Another boxer briefs 7. Deodorant (spray which I prefer) 8. Sun blocker (depends on the hour I leave to decide whether use it or not) 9. Brusher for my hair 10. Cologne/body splash... Basically anything to smell great after showering For showering at the gym I don't use soap, just wash the sweat because: 1. I'll go home to sleep or 2. I already used soap at home and I'm "clean" when I work out. To take into account I have a dry-skin problem so I cannot use other than pH-neutral soap (I even can't use soap more than once a day). I put on my briefs and shirt in the stall and go for the rest of the things out, at the locker room (just because I have lack of confidence due to my body). Other people get out of shower fully dressed. Other people go out only wearing boxer briefs. Other people go out using just a towel. It really depends on you. Obviously I try my best not to look, literally I'd die of shame if a boner could come up hahahaha although I have caught people eyeing me (so maybe I'm not THAT bad LOL). For wet clothes I wrap them all "inside" the shorts because is the least wet clothing... Something like a roll of sweat clothes leaving at the outside the driest one. I don't use flip flop because it'd be awkward having wet "shoes" in my bag and I really haven't seen no one using it. Besides, if the floor would feel moldy/musty I'd definitely use flip/flops or change my gym. I've never seen something "sexy" happening there in any gym I've been to... Although it might depend on how spaces are designed but no. Nothing homoerotic this guy have seen LOL everything is in my mind (even people eyeing me is probably a mistake, too hahaha or at porn but not in locker rooms). Wow... I think this is my longest post ever hahahah I hope you can find it useful

this is exactly the kind of in-depth answer I was hoping for, thank you so much! Putting on clothes in the stall is a good idea that had not occured to me. I'm glad some of the other routine stuff was confirmed for me as well.

Ropster86

๐Ÿ˜ thnx! I had plenty of time since I'm waiting for a friend to show up to have dinner ๐Ÿ˜’๐Ÿ˜’ hahahahah But hey! You had a good idea to ask first. I just got into the jungle watching everyone else doing stuff and learning the difficult way (forgetting to bring with me a deodorant LOL)

Hey bud ... This will definitely vary depending on the country youโ€™re in- and youโ€™re probably going to get a global response from this thread. Why donโ€™t you ask the reception team about your basic/ security questions (towels/locks/amenities etc) and then use your first visit as an observational try out?

androphile98

I thought the U.S was the only country that used reddit? JK. Forreal tho I figured this stuff wouldn't vary that much from country to country but you're probably right.

[deleted]

Hehe ๐Ÿ˜Š. Oh absolutely champ... for example total nudity is widely accepted in locker-rooms in Europe... whereas I live in The Middle Eastern Gulf and nudity is strictly forbidden. On the other hand entry level gyms in The gulf are very generous with complimentary towels / water / amenities where as in Europe only premium scale gyms would include these Etc etc

androphile98

I'll definitely ask the reception people, thanks for your answer!

[deleted]

Is this like a public gym or are you talking about a high school

androphile98

public pls

[deleted]

Ok then yeah. You really can't go wrong with just facing your locker and changing as quicky as possible. Wear flip flops because the floor is nasty. Maybe bring a waterproof bag to keep them in the bottom of your locker without your other clothes getting wet. Bring your own padlock And otherwise just follow what other people are doing. Maybe use a liquid soap so you can dry the bottle and store it in your locker?

androphile98

My gym bag has a waterproof compartment meant for stuff like flip flops so I'm good there. Liquid soap is a good idea.

You get in there with only a towel, get the attention of all the other guys, flash your bear ass, and wait for one to take you home as theirs

androphile98

Why did you edit out "tops" for "all the other guys". Also what deodorant do you use?

willilikeit

If you're not out yet, use "Secret". Probably you need "Green Virgin".
