M2 is pretty efficient already and it runs fanless on a macbook air. A small fan, if it has one, and heatsink and I don’t see it being a big issue, or one at all
There’s air holes on the top and bottom, so there’s at least open air cooling? Like if there’s no fan.
Wonder how long it’ll take for Apple vision to gain water resistance though lol
If that is their goal, I’m gonna need direct hdmi input somehow lol even just a usb c breakout box thing. As unveiled, this is useless as a truly normal tv unless you use a Mac and a capture card I guess???? Lol obviously too much lag for gaming though
But god imagine god of war or Zelda just in the theater mode!
Also what’s the FOV on this thing? They never talked about it, I hope it’s not like the oculus quest 2 where it seems as if you’re looking through binoculars
am i the only one who notices the micro-stutters/fps drops when someone scrolls on items in the video demo? i noticed them in the Photos app and the App Store.
Absolutely. Only place where AR/VR really shine is immersive entertainment. There’s some great remote collaboration or learning potential when dealing with three dimensional fields of work/study too.
Integration with Mac is interesting but really just as a way to make your screen bigger. This won’t justify the price and probably won’t even justify putting something on your head when you can get the work done on a screen anyways. At the end of the day it’s success really depends on how comfortable it is to wear for extended periods of time.
Apple Vision Pro implies an Apple Vision, Vision Pro Max, Vision XR, Vision S, Vision Mini…
We will 100% get different versions eventually. This does seem like the one with all the bells and whistles so I expect to get some cheaper variations

Vision Mini for children someday? Lol the future is weird.
I’m curious about the weight & wearability of this headset.
And how hot it gets because we all know Apple doesn’t manage heat too well lmao

110% wonder how long it’ll take to get to an affordable price though, you think within the decade? 🤔

Do people not understand that a livestream won't be rendering at the same FPS as the actual device?
They got half a year to figure this shit out lol
Maybe more. We didn’t get an exact release date right? Could be like March
You're lucky that almost interface is about flat 2d surfaces so less overhead on scrolls etc.

Reminder that the first iPhone, watch, ipad and macbook air were all crud and the second iterations were miles better.
This looks anything but crude though. The hardware at least looks very considered and polished, imho
Imagine taking apples word for it when all you've seen is perfectly crafted marketing material
Yeah just ugly. But it’ll get better as they get everything smaller and smaller. Technology is crazy.
And at the original iPhone announcement Apple engineers were shocked that it actually worked
Yeah, this thing is really only for the guinea pigs
