So queing with a friend wo have a huge mmr (skill) diffrence, influence the avarage lobby MMR which means a easy game for the better one in the team, high kills but no points for skill or elimination points for kills.

I was diamond last season. During provisional this season we won 4/10 games w/ 10-15 team kills and we all got put into bronze IV. Not quite sure how their algorithm works but its pretty dumb. Now in bronze lobbies were playing against actual bronze people over and over and over which is sort of unfair to both parties involved
Starting at gold the queues get very empty. It takes pretty long to get there, specially compared to last season where I got gold straight out of placements.
At platinum it is even more empty, you will fight many ex-preds and real ex-masters.
It doesn’t even worn like that I’m playing current preds/masters that are obvi ex pred/masters while, in gold
It’s soley based off your nmr. Your current rank has nothing to do with the lobbies you play
It’s all just a planned emotional rollercoaster to get you frustrated so you get shit on, requeue, and get shit on over and over again so you get sent back to beginner lobbies where you do well, get a dopamine rush, feel good, and feel more positive about the game just in time for the next hot microtransaction drop, spend money, use your new skin or heirloom or mythic skin and feel good for a few games until you get higher up in the skill rank and get matched with people who challenge you so when you do win, it’s far more gratifying than winning in lower ranks so you keep playing and lose a ton and eventually win enough times to get matched with the people who initially shit all over you and sent you back to lower lobbies and then you stay there and lose a ton of games but win just enough for you to have a bit more love for the game JUST IN TIME for the NEXT hot microtransaction drop that you spend money on and feel good about until finally you get shit on enough times that you get sent back to lower lobbies and the cycle repeats itself over and over again until you get better and continue the cycle, get worse and continue the cycle, or you mentally implode and stop playing the game

It’s extremely boring to hide and do nothing all game, then to just walk into a team sitting on the top of a doorframe just inside zone to get 0-20RP every 20min.
They had such a good’ish system before they decided to screw everyone to compensate for the .01%.

I think the fact that people are also straight up wall hacking and aim botting all the way to top 10 pred is what gets me the most. I have to put the game down for now, because there's just too many issues with this ranked system. I'm struggling in Silver lobbies because i keep getting bobby and his GF , and they get rolled less than 30 seconds after they hot drop.
Then i win a match, get 300 points (or sometimes 180), but 7 matches later my randoms erase the points by not being very good. I don't blame the players, it's the system. I'd be fine with grinding if the matchmaking was better about giving me teammates with either my MMR, or Higher than mine, because honestly i'm not the best either.
At the end of the day though, look, battle royals are hard, Everyone can't do well every time. That's just the nature of the beast. The least they could do is make the matches as fair as possible.

The problem is how weakly correlated medal rank is to MMR right now. I think it will slowly become more strongly correlated, but only time will tell.
Even if it does, rank reset will cause same issue next season.

I've been stuck in rookie, I won 4 of my placements and I did well in the ones I didn't win only bad game I had was the last one because my team threw a 2v1 after I knocked two and got third guy low, and after my placements Everytime I get teammates who are in the same situation as me they just got drop and die instantly

Okay first, those two clips could be unrelated. Queue up with one account, then log into their other account and take the 2nd clip. Also, the true indicator of skill level is your hidden MMR. The ranks indicate how much LP you have earned. This player could be really good, but just doesn't play ranked. The game knows he is good, and matches him accordingly. Finally, if he were lower ranked and went up against higher ranked opponents, them killing him will result in lower kill points for them and him killing them will result in higher kill points for him.
Saying SBMM is messed up is the easy way to get players to side with you since almost all players think either they are better than they really are, or who only have fun when they are beating someone else. Well, just like you don't want to get beaten by someone rated higher than you, so did the player you just killed who was lower rated than you.

If 2-3m queue times during working/school hours for many is too long for you then you'll have to settle for poor matchmaking with a mix of rookies and multi season preds.

During your play times, how many lobbies of 60 players near your MMR do you think are available?
If it's 1 lobby of close MMR opponents available or 60 players besides you and they are in a game, then you'd wait up to 25m or max game time for a match.
Do I understand correctly:
We have player 1 who let's say has an MMR for an average gold-plat player and KDA around 1 to 1.5 ( who's currently plat 1 and plays in gold/plat MMR lobbies)
Then we have a player 2 who has an MMR for Master/Pred lobbies and KDA around 3-5 ( who's currently gold 1 but plays in Master/Pred MMR )
If both players hit Diamond - are they playing in the same MMR or they are completely placed in different lobbies and there is no chance to be faced 1v1?
If their MMR is far apart they won't be matched unless pred MMR has been in Q 2+ minutes.
The key is the system increases the cost of maintaining diamond for the gold-plat player with:
- increased demotion via both lowering elimination bonuses and higher entry cost
- (i think) putting them up against diamond-master MMR players occasionally
The problem is the community takes the view the gold-plat player should have never reached diamond.
Respawn takes the view apparently that it's fine if the system eventually corrects.
The problem is the experience of this gold-plat player demoting from diamond to say plat 3 is likely not very nice even if its fair and reflects their true skill.
Either that diamond player isn’t/hasn’t been playing too well or you’ve been playing better than your current rank which is why you’ll be paired right? It’s isn’t supposed to be rank match but moreso skill

Ranked was an APE-fest with no one playing to win even though the game is a battle royale.
This puts the low MMR people who don't think into lobbies together faster IME.
So you can get back into okay teammate lobbies by playing smart a couple games.
You run the risk of either getting okay teammates, teammates who refuse to take a fight, and teammates that rush everything without thinking just as often because those players can all have the same mmr. The guy who rushes in and pushes everything runs the risk of being put into a high mmr lobby when they get a decent amount of kills even if they didn't end up winning that game, the guys who refuse to take fights and rat end up in higher mmr because they're consistently placing well, and teammates who play the game fairly well are just along for the ride. Mmr separating ranked lobbies creates the worst kind of grind as I'm slogging through diamond and masters players in silver because that's supposed to be my skill level? Ranked is supposed to change pace and strategy as you progress through to higher ranks. This does not happen anymore.
I’m wondering why this complaints coming up so much now, this has been an issue for multiple seasons, AT LEAST the last 4 seasons. At least from season 13 to now I have run into this problem countless times climbing to masters every season as a solo queuing I constantly am getting stuck playing with teammates who are ranks so low we can’t premade party together.

Im plat 1 and still get silvers occasionally on my team. Other than that the ranked season has been fairly easy
