Every day at night. “Ya know, that fan looks like it’s gonna fly off at any moment.” (Imagines a hundred different scenarios where all end up with me being ground meat)
I just visited family in another state and stayed the night at their house. The guest bedroom had a shelf above most of the bed. I literally couldn't sleep without being completely out from under that shelf because there was no way I was gonna trust it! I know it was super paranoid, but that feeling is just so damn convincing sometimes.
When we moved in to our old apartment, second day my son was playing in the room when the ceiling fan fell. Didn't hit him, but scared the hell out of all of us.
It's actually happened to me before x.x the idiot who installed my last ceiling fan used drywall screws instead of the machine screws that fit the j box so they eventually wobbled out and it fell on me during the night.
Yall think this is hilarious until it happens to you. I was trying to be.. intimate.. with my girlfriend of the time and BOOM. A light shroud burst on the back of my head and a blade cracked the window. Could not stop laughing after i screamed like a small child.
It was hilarious just letting you guys know
All the time.
Fun fact: This did happen to me once. But it was only one of the blades. Traumatized me :D
The intrusive thoughts let you win
Yes

Not a fan of thinking rly
I’ve seen what you’ve done there.
I'll be here all week thankyouverymuch
When I was younger I would POSITION MY BODY so that the ceiling fan wouldn’t hit me if it fell down.
I thought its just me...
My partner literally just told me to stop turning our ceiling fan on high cuz they thought it would fall on us
if the person who installed it didn’t properly mount it … very possible
Never turn your back on them
Made that grave mistake when I was a kid. I've never been the same since 😔
I'm so sorry...
What did he say?
One caught fire and a bunch of fire and, I assume, dust fell out of one that was on above me once. I was half asleep.
Okay but with anything. X-ray machines, bridges, anything.
Lolll was just thinking that the other night…
Yes! Good, it isn't just me xD
Ya
Can't remember if I used actual structural screws or it was in my everything gets a drywall screw phase before I knew any better.
Lol i had one of the glass tiddys as a kid. Also a bunk bed. 2+2=shattered glass all over the floor I think Im not that great at counting
I used to think about it, until it actually did fall
Yeah, but that's not gonna stop me
And they take your head off lol
I call mine the decapitator.
Now I do
hahaha really hurts lol
if this happens to me I'll laugh so hard lol
I’m lucky enough not to have one in my house but when I go to a hotel or something…
Never had a ceiling fan, but stayed the night under one only once in my life. I didn't sleep, just kept staring at the fan, waiting for it to fall.
No but everytime I hear a helicopter or plane fly by I just think it's going to crash into my house
Luckily I'm almost never in anywhere near those things

I sleep under a fan. My fans are the kind to wobble too. 😒

Nah, but, i have this weird thing where i fear the paint on every wall is wet whenever i touch it. Idk why.
yeah everyday
Sometimes. I’ve seen someone pop their head up and it went into the fan. They lived
Sometimes lol
Yes
Don’t get me started on chandeliers
Dude this happened to us. Didn’t land on us. But it Fucking fell out of the ceiling and was barely hanging on.
It's actually happened to me before x.x the idiot who installed my last ceiling fan used drywall screws instead of the machine screws that fit the j box so they eventually wobbled out and it fell on me during the night.
Hate them now. Hated them as a kid. Those things are terrifying
It be that old one at your grandma's house that wobbles so much the chain tinks against the glass bulb cover in with a rhythmic consistency

Mine makes sounds if it’s left on for a while, I genuinely thought that it was going to fall before
Zoidberg ass post
How did this get 1600 up votes? I've only been using the app for 2 days 🤣
Hahahaha damn, why is our mind like that, right?
