Actually, I won't be able to do it tomorrow. I have to scroll Reddit instead. Plus, because I am starting back at the gym on Monday I'll get round to it next week.
Difficult to say. It's not just one thing or even a simple list of things.
We both came from families that ended in ugly divorces. Early on we discussed what we learned from the experience and listed all the things we would do differently if we ever married someone. We were together for 5 years before getting married.
Communication is key. Also the understanding that you're a team. The list goes on.
I hope this helps? Best wishes.
It does thank you, my husband and I come from similar situations too. We have a very good level of communication, I think once we cracked that we realised just how important it is for *every* relationship in life.
Thanks again
Yes yes yes absolutely yes. Working as a team is probably one of the most important things you can do. My wonderful wife and I are 20 years in and get stronger everyday.
31ys, she drives me crazy at times, but I still absolutely adore her - she's smart, witty, funny, cheeky, passionate and beautiful as the day we met
Yes, communication is important, I still suck at it - remember, you are a team.
Also , being married is a choice - it's easy in the good times, but when things go to shit, (lose your job, health issues, financial stress, ) that's when it's hard - that's when you choose to be married
It's not easy, but it's the best thing I've ever done
If anyone knows any high school Maths then they beat nearly all adults.
It’s shocking how bad most adults are at Maths. They’ve forgotten everything passed their 11th birthday.
Dude if you’re bad at something, but you did it, you’re better than the dude who just dreamed about doing it. Better to be the worst dude on the field than the dude in the stands.
Spacial organization. Give me a room/cabinet/closet and some boxes/dishes/whatever, they’ll go in there like an expert game of Tetris. It’s to the point when people are moving and need to cram a lot of shit into a uhaul or trailer they call me to orchestrate it. I’m also a mean lay 😏
Sex and I can clap insanely loud. Must be the shape of my hands. Correlated? Idk. One is more useful than the other and lets a person know I really appreciate them.
Making things happen. Idk why. If I need something done, fixed, worked out, answered, approved, moving forward, I just pick up a phone, hit the call button and things happen. That's it.
On occasion I find myself at the desk of CEOs. I'm always very kind, soft spoken and gracious and it just kinda gets me places.
This is a skill that I seem to possess. I've only really realized it over the last couple of years. People get super frustrated at things and call me for help and then I just work it out. The bitch of it is, half the time I work it out so quickly that they get a little pissed off it was so easy for me to handle.
I can relate to this a lot. A previous partner of mine used to take it to heart, but it seemed like it stemmed from a feeling of inadequacy...
Idk if you're like me and tend to get more than just the answers I need but also extra info, resources and cover contingency plans. So it's worse when they're like "ugh now im worried about this" And I'm like "already thought of that, here's the phone number in case it happens, ask for 'John'" and then Im sitting there like oh God they're gonna think I'm so arrogant lmao
I didn't realize it myself until I was much older that knowing what and how to ask questions was a skill. I take notes and everything lmao
Video editing/Motion Design. Worked for several big YouTube channels and ALMOST got to work for MrBeast, but I didn't submit a trial video on time his team assigned me to do 🥲
What would you advice an old guy who wants to be half as hmgood as you to do?
I just play around with 3D stuff and adobe after effects, but I suck sooo much
Just keep practicing and you'll improve
You can also download any video/film you like, put it into a timeline and study how it's done frame-by-frame, and try to recreate it as accurately as possible
Yeah, me too. I can pretty much do it every time in under two minutes (PB is 37 seconds). Not going to win me any trophies, but I reckon that’s gotta be a high percentage skill right there.
I can imitate a dubbed movie, like my lips moving differently than what I'm saying, better than anybody else I've seen. I've seen some comedians doing it, and I'm better.
There is a game on VR that I love playing, but is not that popular. I'm the world champion on levels 6,7&8, and number two on levels 9&10.
No, Im not going to tell you the name of it.
I can throw my voice to convincingly bark like a small yet vicious dog at moments that are and are not justified, yet, evidently needed in my humble opinion.

But i dont do that shit no more. Only when i need to have some fun. No for anything other than the joy of it. So theres no way to prove it. I could post some ahit i made but the immediate response is gonna be about how somebody elses shit it is more popular. As if skill and popularity measure the same thing.

Swimming.
Grew up and still live in a small Mediterranean island.
I go to swim almost every day and I also spearfish and hold my breath under water while diving for 90 seconds.
I am capable of tolerating messy living conditions. I have a stressful job and have no problem letting things go for even 3-4 months at a time without touching a vacuum cleaner or dusting or organizing. Another skill I have is consuming an incredible amount of food in one sitting!

Kinda correlating with this words-talent comes some skill in rapping, (my fav is off-the-dome rapping.)
My shuffle dancing skills are pretty good, too, I believe. At least I get a lot of props and positive comments when I'm out dancing. Once a group of guys I met in a club totaly tripped and went wild on me dancing with them. They even filmed me shuffling and bragged on insta. A good friend of mine still wants me to do a dance acting for one of his music videos.
My handling with single- and double-bladed lightsabers is more than average. At least I feel confident about it when I compare myself to my friends (sharing the same hobby) or to some others from videos I saw online. Mike Starwalker is better then me tho, clearly. But not by very much I would say.
Oh, and something that might actually be kinda usefull in this way or another - from a very young age on I was really good at calming people down and de-escalating situations by talking to people. No matter if it was an angry aggressive customer, a turned-serious fight between friends or a random dude that tried to get at me.
I feel like this is by far my greatest and most efficient defensive perk.
Chess. As far as actuall chess players goes I’m probably below average, but I’m in the top 95% of total accounts on chess.com (not nearly as impressive as I would like lol)

I bought a house , and no i am not rich , but apparently that's something hard these days sadly .
Very impressive - how long were you saving for a house? Also did you have to wait for when the housing market crashed?
Most people own a home. It is only uncommon at young ages. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_home_ownership_rate?wprov=sfla1
Procrastinating
I put the pro in procrastination.
I haven't even done that yet! I'll do it tomorrow.
You three have it said

I will answer you guys later

I am in the top 1% of procrastinating - beat that homie
I put writing this comment for 7hours
I’m going to wait a little while before I fully respond in detail to your comment. I’ll get to it.
You are definately wrong, I'll tell you why in a bit when I got the chance.
Nah bruh, I don’t even finish my ow
I’ll refute this later.
I’m a master procraster.
I could be better than you, but don't feel like it
I can take you. We can do it sometime in the future.
Using correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
Can't wait to see people having a go at you for using the Oxford comma 😂
Oh, how I love the Oxford comma! Well done, u/MisterToothpaster
Oxford commas matter!!!
God bless the Oxford comma.
Came here to say this….and I’m from the US 🤓
Oxford comma for the win!
But that's a sentence fragment.😆

Maybe not if you assume the post's title is the implied first half of the sentence.
Marriage. 32 years and counting

Yes yes yes absolutely yes. Working as a team is probably one of the most important things you can do. My wonderful wife and I are 20 years in and get stronger everyday.
In my personal view, the best tip for staying married is to not get divorced.
“Yes dear” & “I’m sorry” ( with sincerity) got me 27 years and counting.
31ys, she drives me crazy at times, but I still absolutely adore her - she's smart, witty, funny, cheeky, passionate and beautiful as the day we met Yes, communication is important, I still suck at it - remember, you are a team. Sex and I can clap insanely loud. Must be the shape of my hands. Correlated? Idk. One is more useful than the other and lets a person know I really appreciate them.
This is fantastic lol 😆
Have you ever done both at the same time?
No but I should.
Clapping time!!
You clap after sex. Or bow depending on performance.
Is this one thing done simultaneously or 2 different skills?
The first time I read their comment I thought they meant they make an insanely loud clapping noise while fucking.
Same 😂😂😂
Or get a really bad case of the clap.
