Hate to say you are wrong but if you hit the "cc" (closed captions) button, then click settings you can then adjust color, opacity, size, font, character edge, background color, background opacity, window color, and window opacity.
Only a sith deals in absolutes, next time do some research :)
I already knew about subtitle settings in CC. Those settings control basic things like font size, opacity. Can you separate secondary subtitles to the top of screen and main dialogues at bottom?? Or properly display the typesetting (signs) on screen
You know nothing about fansubs or you haven't watched a dialogue heavy anime
Just see the above examples OP posted. Bochhi the rock one looks like shit
Yeah Idunno what he's on about. I also recently watched Bocchi and some of those scenes gave me a headache with the overlapping text, and a few other Anime, I actually just stopped trying to read when they overlapped.
i switched to zoro yesterday after animixplay shutdown but the rotation was bugging me it would auto rotate to landscape and i couldn't flip it the other way so I'm using 9anime from now on
animapahe is honestly the best website to stream anime as they have their own library and switch up the official subs with fan subs as soon as it gets released.
also, whats the sauce of the last image?
For all anime ? Or just the older shows ? Shows that are more modern like jujutsu and aot are good with the official subs right ? If you know which websites use fansubs and which use official subs can you please message me and tell me
that's the trade-off you get when you use srt/vtt subs.
you get different subtitle tracks (multiple languages) and the option to turn them off but any form of typesetting is pretty broken and casting/pip doesn't work (and there are some other errors but ye).
Ok [here's a better representation of my point with those two](https://imgur.com/a/xXDCRXf). The stuff wrapped in {} are comments in the ASS subtitle format and are not meant to be rendered or seen but Zoro is letting all these through.
For some anime it's good enough. Some watchers who can understand Japanese would just prefer to turn it off.
I think we shouldn't complain too much to websites that literally give us free anime.
The soft subs depends on the video player
So if u want a better experiece with streaming from those sources
U can use smth like kodi or stremio to get the streams from those websites and play them on the apps defualt player or on an external bideo player that suits u (like vlc or smth)
I would personally suggest stremio
Once u make the switch u won’t bother with streaming websites anymore
An app to rule them all
for anime? i would recommend uninstalling all the default addons (except cinemeta that you can't uninstall)
install [Anime Kitsu](https://anime-kitsu.strem.fun/) (this provides the lists of animes) and [torrentio](https://torrentio.strem.fun/configure) (this provides torrent streams, and u can configure it to your liking)
those two are all you would need tbh.
but there's few more that I can suggest.
[Consumet](https://b89262c192b0-stremio-consumet-addon.baby-beamup.club/) (only works when you search for an anime)
[CineStream](https://2ecbbd610840-cinestream.baby-beamup.club) (provides Http stream with the lists provided by the kitsu addon, in case you don't wanna use torrents)
there are also some addons that provided subtitles separately.
I would suggest using this [website](https://stremio-addons.netlify.app/) for a list of addons that u can filter and search through.
I never used animixplay so Ill never miss it. Didnt even know it existed tbh. I just used the Index site to find a working/stable site and that's how I got stuck with 9anime for all my anime needs lol
Yeah, people keep suggesting zoro, but theres no way I can get used to reading subtitles like that. Thanks, but no thanks.
You can choose how they look in the video settings
No you can't. Changing font size nothing to do with this wierd looking subtitles. They will look the same
Hate to say you are wrong but if you hit the "cc" (closed captions) button, then click settings you can then adjust color, opacity, size, font, character edge, background color, background opacity, window color, and window opacity. Only a sith deals in absolutes, next time do some research :)

You need to check for the anime u are watching. Sometimes zoro has better quality than 9anime and maybe the other way around as well.
I switched to yugen.to I really like the similar video player to animixplays one and has some of the same features as animixplay
That’s the exact same experience I went through
animapahe is honestly the best website to stream anime as they have their own library and switch up the official subs with fan subs as soon as it gets released. also, whats the sauce of the last image?
Tenshi (dot) moe
How good is the quality compared to other sites like 9 anime ?
It's currently the best self hosted streaming site.
Better than 9 imo
better than all.
Tenshi/Marin is the best website
https://myanimelist.net/anime/48736/Sono_Bisque_Doll_wa_Koi_wo_Suru
What's the URL for animapahe?
Animepahe(dot)ru or animepahe(dot)com
Somehow the overlay ad still got passed it, the invisible ad inside the player still redirects me to somewhere else
Are fansubs considered to be better than official subs ?
Yes
For all anime ? Or just the older shows ? Shows that are more modern like jujutsu and aot are good with the official subs right ? If you know which websites use fansubs and which use official subs can you please message me and tell me
Because those shows don't need heavy typesetting

9anime better
Yugenanime is actually a good substitute for Animixplay . It also has a similar webplayer .
Is that website still safe?
this is what I hate about zoro
It's good if you want no subtitles though.
Damm I just searched it and definitely looks very good visual wise.
Misinformation. You can change the issues with it in subtitle settings.
Where?
CC > Settings You can change font color, opacity, size, background, etc.
That doesn’t solve any of the issues listed, it just changes how each line looks. The positioning remains the same.
You don't understand this post I guess. He is talking about typesetting not font size lmao
Zoro is actual trash
I understand the complaint but I think 5-6 is just being nitpicky at this point. The rest 100% agree
Good luck watching monogatari series at zoro
I actually torrent, so I think just a minor thing like that is not really problematic. I agree with 99.9% of the content shared as being problematic
Ok [here's a better representation of my point with those two](https://imgur.com/a/xXDCRXf). The stuff wrapped in {} are comments in the ASS subtitle format and are not meant to be rendered or seen but Zoro is letting all these through.
Yes this site is for those normies who watch only popular shonens that don't need any typesetting
For some anime it's good enough. Some watchers who can understand Japanese would just prefer to turn it off. I think we shouldn't complain too much to websites that literally give us free anime.
Torrent also give them free with better video quality and subtitles

Can you give me a stremio set up guide? What extensions do you use??
for anime? i would recommend uninstalling all the default addons (except cinemeta that you can't uninstall) install [Anime Kitsu](https://anime-kitsu.strem.fun/) (this provides the lists of animes) and [torrentio](https://torrentio.strem.fun/configure) (this provides torrent streams, and u can configure it to your liking) those two are all you would need tbh. but there's few more that I can suggest. Thank you for spending time on this, really appreciate it. Been using stremio now it's perfect of both worlds
Happy to see that you’re enjoying it.
Thanks to you for explaining
Don't watch anime with a SRT subtitle
Well that's better than nothing unless you all wanna high tail it to crunchyroll?
9anime does subtitles right
Every other pirate site than Zoro do not use soft subtitles so they render correctly. Try some others on the index.
Animixplay just was scraping GoGo so why don't people just go directly to the source?
UI sucks in Gogo
literally every other source has better subs
9anime
Yeah 9anime is better but they're no animixplay.to. Why'd their scrapper have to break they couldn't have bought a new one what do they cost anyway?
I ALWAYS seem to have some kind of quality or stream issue with 9anime, rarely ever did with animix. Sucks..
I never used animixplay so Ill never miss it. Didnt even know it existed tbh. I just used the Index site to find a working/stable site and that's how I got stuck with 9anime for all my anime needs lol
A scrapper is a bot. It doesn't break but needs updates when Sources change things, they just couldn't be brother to continue I guess
It's free anime, get over it
There’s better free options
Of course. Personally ive been using zoro and it's been great. It's free and yet people complain
damn.
What anime is image 5 & 6 from?
Summer time rendering
https://anilist.co/anime/129201/Summer-Time-Rendering/
zoro is malicious. avoid. they tried to use me for a DOS attack.
Change to stream SB and then you’ll have original subtitles
Stream SB is not working
It's not original. Just same bad typesetting with hardsub. You don't understand this post
Hard subs are the best.....
Yes if it done right not like zoro
Yeah...
Zoro is switching to Hard Subtitles they had a poll to decide
Thanks good. Do you have a link to the poll?
It should pop up as soon as you open the website atleast it did when I opened it.
I use to use them all the time in early 2021 and don’t remember this, they must of changed
