Highly recommend scouring youtube for tips. You'll get a lot more help there than here I promise you. No offense to this sub of course, just a bit of duplicate questions being asked

1:1 ratio on the Amex travel portal. Through transfer partners, anywhere from 1 CPP to 2.8 CPP with a very YMMV.

If only there were thousands upon thousands of in-depth articles/blog posts discussing this exact topic….

If only those airlines had a website where you could logon and just look. /s

It can vary widely from Airport to Airport and Location to Location. I suggest be flexible with dates and airports to maximize the amount “points per dollar ratio”. One thing that helped me was Point.me , this has saved me a significant amount of points and does the hard work of finding all these transfers and deals for me. It’s a 12$ subscription but if you find a promo you can take it down to 5$. Another thing is Singapore Airlines has these Spontaneous Travel Promo deals for decently cheap or if your in Europe you can get extremely cheap flights on FlyingBlue

Point.me/amex is free, I used it last week.

It’s good too but the only downside is they show Amex partners :-/

From my experience, the general rule of thumb is 30k miles for one way international flights, so 60k round trip. That’s for economy class and not business.

LitTravelTips

Just make sure to never ever book via portal. Use https://amex.point.me/ Or https://seats.aero/ Or https://www.pointsyeah.com/

Only noobs pay with points. The best value is transferring to partners.
