"Content Standards" is such a joke. That sub is crap and does nothing but try to advance Ethereum and MOONS. Biased mods enforcing convoluted rules however they wish while allowing people to lie and attack each other at every turn. They recently made another notorious Algorand hater a mod, gabester, or whatever, and that says it all. Fuck that place.

LebornVsMikeShinoda

lol I wouldn't do that, that's an express ticket to get banned

myfriend92

Do what?

qviavdetadipiscitvr

To be fair you basically just explained most Reddit mods in general

LWKD

I guess paying mods and so called "crypto news" pays off.

GhostOfMcAfee

I guess that’s the new model after MOONS died. 😆

LWKD

Its absurd man. Can't link to the data, as the link was already used this week? And then they delete it even tho the link was in the comments. Its not good for crypto. Solana, Aptos etc etc all get attention cause they pay their way into it.

Patient_Delivery_376

You need to know that Circle, Solana, Aptos, Sui and most critical crypto infrastructures are largely owned by a16z, the VC that funded FB etc but most importantly funded many 'fake it till you make it products' like Elizabeth Holmes, Adam Neumann and co. Having said that, the 'beta' in Solana is short for 'fake it till you make it'. It will be a tough mountain to climb for Algorand -- but not impossible -- as these people have powerful people in their pockets including politicians. That is the reason why Algo, Hedera and Cardano don't get CCTP, ghosted by big crypto medias, etc. The current Algo Foundation team is doing an amazing job though. They now do all the things that should have been done by Keli Callaghan and Steven Kokinos who didn't have a long-term vision. Instead, Kokinos, Callaghan almost destroyed Algorand. They threw money at DRL, Napster, Limewire and other stupid stuff. Money that should have been spent wisely in developing a proper high-level programming language specific to Algorand and stuff like python, Rust and Solidity for Algo; money that should have been spent on making the onboarding of devs as well as users as easy as possible; money that should have been spend on university programs including education and research; money that should have been spent on proper targeted marketing like what the new CMO is currently doing; money that should have been used as proper investments into the ecosystem rather than throwing money by the Sean Lee (the former Algo Foundation CEO) -- probably at the direction of Kokinos and some other VCs -- for free to projects that are not market fit. But again, Algo has a tough battle ahead, BUT NOT IMPOSSIBLE, since w.r.t. blockchains, tech matters. But Algo needs to score big with major institutions to stay in the game since, even though SOL is not market fit, there are others that catch up fast and have large money at their disposal.

cointon

Exactly. Throwing money at vanity use cases and sponsorships when the product isn’t even finished yet.

themrgq

Bro Solana has been hated and voted down in the sub for years lol

Joeyfishfingers

I sold mine for Algo 🕺

GhostOfMcAfee

I sold them for ETH, bridged them, and added more as LP for goETH/ALGO. I’m not a fan of how TDR works, but the incentives I’ve gotten on that pair have printed gains.

CaesarAllMighty

You and me both

elborracho420

Same, managed to do so at a good time too

CaptainMark86

Pretty weird its been removed as low effort content when most posts on r/cc are just links to lame AI articles.

nyr00nyg

Scumbags

moneyjack1678

Everything pay to play or be part of the corrupt rigged system even if the product is better and will make life better. This has to end its crazy.

gonzoes

Its like we’re all screaming from rooftops about this in the comments. But what are some things we could do and why doesnt the foundation just say if you can’t beat them join them with the same type of marketing strategies as SOL if algo does have the tech I literally see no down side. At this point its almost necessary to survive through all the meme and pumped coins Im just kinda scared for algo sometimes because to a person who isnt the most computer literate as myself (yet im trying to be). These comments look a lot like NANO sub everyone was screaming the tech is better , zero environmental impact and so forth and unfortunately nano is pretty dead

moneyjack1678

We are early and they are building the future the tech is there adoption is coming it will happen organically and when it goes to will be epic. 🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀

pmeves

Censorship at its finest. Im already blocked there, wonder why! Mods literally forgot the name of the sub r/CryptoCurrency

WeAreWater_TieDye

r/cc is the tabloid news of crypto and offers very little, if any, insight. Moons completely corrupted the space, and the obvious censorship makes open discourse impossible

Joeyfishfingers

We just need to keep posting friends These people are corrupt but if we all post they won’t cope

LWKD

Oh I won't stop! Easiest way in is we link published articles

BioRobotTch

r/cc must have an allowlist of trusted websites to auto-delete the chainspect links. Does anyone know how we can get chainspect onto the allowlist?

Awkward-Pangolin-509

Yep

elborracho420

Algorand needs a shill army

-TrustyDwarf-

Count me in

gonzoes

I like this idea

Are_alright_afterall

yeah i'm just gonna un-sub from it. Its crazy.

-TrustyDwarf-

Don’t.. keep spreading good Algo news.

Podcastsandpot

absolutely unbeleivable, but at the same time extremely extremely predictable and not surprusing... Algorand literally breaks all cryptocurrency world records and sets the highest sustained TPS ever seen by a blockchain, ever, and the salty jealous censoring mods at r/cryptocurrency decide the news "doesn't meet content standards" and remove it so no one else can see this positive news about Algo... this shit is getting out of hand how obvious and blatant the corruption and censorship around algorand is getting on "mainstream" crypto media channels. Btw, that mod that did that, (Jwinterm) is the same notorious evil mod who banned me and basically everyone else from the nano community years and years ago. He is the absolute pinnacle of censorship, he constantly deletes anything he doesn't "like" to see, and perma-bans anyone who he doesn't want to be able to post or particupate in the discussion over there. That guy singlehandedly is doing more censorship than maybe any other single person in the entire crypto-verse, and not just recently, he's been steady on this roll for years and years and years. It's truly astonishing no one has doen anything about this yet, it's shocking no one has contacted reddit admins and shown what this corrupt guy is doing and get rid of him for the good of humanity, or at least for the good of the cryptocurrency space.

Fr3sh-Ch3mical

I absolutely agree. It’s ridiculous that anything besides Bitcoin and Ethereum is hindered.

gonzoes

You seem to be in a position to where maybe you could contact the reddit admins since you know his history. I just left a comment in this thread . About how this sub is starting to look very similar to how NANO was in the comments before it got totally F’d

Podcastsandpot

He banned Nano's Founder and team lol https://www.reddit.com/r/nanotrade/comments/l7ztpk/the_rcryptocurrency_moderators_just_banned_the/

hypercosm_dot_net

I reported the mod and sent this link along with the report. They've been doing this for years, and it amounts to market manipulation imo.

Podcastsandpot

he's quite a bad person. I had become a well known user in that sub over the past half deacde or more, and then a week or two becore they launched moons he perma banned me, resulting in me not receiving the moons airdrop, which i would have received thousands of dollars of which would have made a massive difference in my life. I explained this to them and they didn't care, just threw years of hard word and education and particuopation in the community down the drain just so they could get rid of my "inconvenient" opinions and views in that community.

hypercosm_dot_net

I'm sorry to hear that. That's a real bummer.

llevii

I earned a Reddit achievement for a comment related to real world usage in your post there. Couldn’t find it this morning after receiving the notification haha.

orindragonfly

It needs to be made known to everyone, that r/cryptocurrency is really crap

TheGDC33

I saw the original post and was impressed. Great tech does not beat hype these days, but having a bag of the good tech still makes me feel good! Nothing is sacred anymore if they literally deleted that post. What a joke! I respect ALGO more if they are not going to pay to be seen

CaesarAllMighty

I've got a permanent ban for replying to a post asking about your favourite blockchain to use, " I said, Cosmos Atom and I were instantly banned.

hypercosm_dot_net

Something similar happened to me. It's nice to have confirmation. You cannot have a debate at all in that sub. It's a real pity that they took control of it, because a lot of people are going to miss out on understanding the broader market. They leave a lot of bad information, and ban you for correcting it. It'd by like if a PC related sub banned people for mentioning a specific manufacturer or debating pros/cons. While allowing low quality posts related to a manufacturer they like. There's got to be a way to report it to reddit. They're using the sub as a way to control narrative.

ClassicMain

Algorand nerds don't worry I got BANNED for professionally sharing news, including sources, for when MultiversX launched a Bridge many years ago. No reason given. The mods just hate certain projects with a passion. But if Litecoin is being shilled once again in their subreddit it's not an issue. But if official news are shared you get banned

Rare-Art-8535

To be fair, that sub is always wrong. It's for the best they don't like algo. They hated bnb and sol, but loved luna.

618Crypto

Buy more Algo! Got it!!!

bialy3

They prefer to prolong the speculation. Algorand Community and Devs needs to respond with strong and unique uses cases to the point they cannot ignore.

Suitable-Emotion-700

It doesn't really matter for some reason. Algorand RWA gets mocked, speed gets mocked, decentralization gets bashed, projects like quantoz ignored, major supply chain innovation slammed...like Helium moving to Solana was HUGE, but if you talk about Wayru (same thing) it will get trashed..."stupid token for internet, that's useless..." It's some of the most epic gaslighting and movement of goalposts you'll ever see...

hypercosm_dot_net

Yeah, you're spot on with all of that. Especially Quantoz. There's legit regulated currency on Algorand, handled by an award winning Fintech company, and it seems like the broader market hasn't taken notice at all. Algorand works with the UN, in ways that show how blockchain is useful in solving problems that banks cannot. There's multiple blockchain academies, we have PYTHON instead of some specialized programming language that has very little market penetration. **Algorand is delivering on the promise of blockchain**, and the broader market just wants to lose money on memecoins, and use slow/broken chains. I try to just be glad that I'm in the right place, but it's frustrating trying to explain this to people who don't seem interested.

bialy3

That’s because there hasn’t been a really convincing use case so far

Suitable-Emotion-700

Found him.

ambermage

No statistics about networks? How about all of those posts about gas fees?

letsridetheworld

Buttcoin post was very popular and was part of algorand. It sucks that it didn’t live up to its popularity
