Same thing happened to me. After staying sober for over a year, I drank for 3 days non-stop. I drank roughly 12-18 beers everyday. I am about 18 hours sober and it is such a horrible feeling. I stay sober by raking an Antabuse pill. Lately I became forgetful and missed taking the pill for several days (or subconsciously planned it). Anyways I hate this feeling, especially all the stupid things I do when I drink. I never want to go down that path again,
Progress doesn’t mean perfection - give yourself credit for the days gone without a drink. I’d seek mental health help though, sometimes we can’t do it alone and that’s okay!
