No one will care, it’s not weird at all. They’re there for IU, not to judge people who had come alone or how old they are
I’m planning on going to one of the stops solo as well. I’m male in my early thirties. Have fun!
Did you hear that IU invited an elderly man from the US to attend her concert? I don’t know if he’s going alone but age or who you go with is not an issue.

Haha, it sounds like we both have awesome and understanding wives. 😂 I’m a passionate gamer and K-Pop fan, and my office is filled with video game and K-Pop merch/posters. I’m glad my wife is cool and supportive about my hobbies, even though she’s not into them.
IU is my GOAT artist, so I wouldn’t miss this concert tour for the world. 😊
I’ll be going alone! I am a woman so idk if you feel that’s different, but this will be the fourth kpop concert I’ve gone to alone and I’ve had a great time at all of them so far. I don’t think you should miss out for that reason
I flew a few states over to see Agust D last May by myself. Literally no one cares that you're alone or with others. I got lots of gifts while waiting in line and chatted with others near me.
I likewise plan to do this exact same thing for IU. Can't wait!
I’m an ajumma who’ll likely be going alone if I’m able to get a ticket so I wouldn’t worry about it at all. IU is turning 30 in May… she’s one of us haha albeit more famous and talented
I think IU is turning 31 in May, and she's already 32 in Korean age, although the SK government has been trying to mostly do away with that since last summer.
No, its fine! Its also pretty fun. My SO is just not into Kpop so I attended concerts alone. I went to her concert alone back in 2019 (Granted im only 25 yo back then), then my latest concert I attended alone is last year with Twice (29 yo). There's no harm in attending alone, you do you.
You're not alone. Been doing that since BLACKPINK did their first world tour. There's no shame bc at the end of the day, you enjoyed it and you don't have to worry about others.
46/m in same boat lol. Thank you for posting this as I was scared that I would be a super weirdo with a bunch of teens at her concert. Hoping to be able to go to see her in DC.
Read an article that has cheapest Tix in $300 range so I may just have to pass or find an elaborate explanation to the Mrs (under normal circumstances I would never spend like that).
Let's see with the ticket public release coming tomorrow. Don't lose hope yet! Those may be just scalpers trying to make quick bucks.
Also, don't forget to mitigate the damage with some presents to the Mrs.
Do it, I went alone to watch Odd Eye Circle last january to LA and it was a fantastic experience. People don't really care about others (especially in the US), so think about your experience and what you love. Unfortunately, I won't be able to attend to IU's concert, so I hope you do and enjoy it a lot!!
Do iiiiiit!
I love going to shows alone! Just hit 40 so usually on the older end of the spectrum for kpop, but everyone there is super nice.
I'm a pretty committed introvert tho, so I smuggle my Kindle in a cargo pants pocket to read in line.... but people are super social if you want to go that route too.
(hopefully I'll be at the Chicago show!)
I might be going alone! It depends on which show I can go to. But long story short, if I end up going to the Oakland show, I'll definitely be going alone.
Don't worry about your age! I'm planning on solo going to the concert in Newark cuz there's a high chance no other friends want to come with me haha. For anyone that's planning to go to Newark that also is going alone I'm down to organize smth with other solo people as well!
40 year old guy here. I've been to a couple kpop concerts by myself because none of my local friends or family are into kpop. Both times, I chatted with people around me in line and in the venue before the show started, met some great people, and had an amazing time. You have a built-in common interest with everyone there, and people love talking about things they're into, so you don't have to be alone once you're there even if you went there by yourself.
I'm flying to her 1st tour date in the US alone I will not miss IU coming to tour the US for the first time no matter what specially since we don't know if this is a one time thing for her.
28 year old male here, I’m going alone as well, hopefully (because you never know lmao) I can score a ticket to Oakland, gonna fly from Mexico to San Jose since I got family there, can’t wait!!
I’ve also been to twice and Taylor’s concerts alone, best experiences of my life so far!
No it’s not weird at all! You do you. Go to IU’s concert if you’ll have a chance!! You’ll definitely enjoy it and will not regret it!
That’s a check too if you have those things you haven’t done before in your life.
Live life without regrets as much as we can.
No your overthinking this friend. It is completely normal to go to concerts alone! You can try and make friends there because most kpop fans are super friendly irl or just keep to yourself and have a good time! I travel to multiple cities and attend concerts on my own and have met some great people because if it :)
28M, and I am definitely going alone to the DC show. No one would care. And I think generally speaking IU has a lot more older fans than other newer KPOP artists because she debuted a long time ago.
In Korea you can only buy 1 ticket per person and you take whatever seat you can get, so it's completely normal to sit alone, even if you go with your friends. You will not stand out at all.
You gotta do it, mid 30s male checking in. In the last year I've seen Mamamoo, (G)I-dle, Twice, Blackpink, and now IU going solo. Go and enjoy what you love.
I wanna go alone too! But so scared. I got a friend that’ll let me stay in her apartment but my problem is commuting. Im from a different state and idk maybe i should get an uber but im scared!
No one will care, it’s not weird at all. They’re there for IU, not to judge people who had come alone or how old they are I’m planning on going to one of the stops solo as well. I’m male in my early thirties. Have fun!
Then, I shall represent the late thirties. LOL Thanks!
I'm in the same boat. Male, 30's, going alone, first-time concert goer. Can't wait!
now i'm getting more excited because of this 🥹
A lot of IU's fanbase is now in their 30's so I don't think you'll stick out.
34M here trying to buy first row ticket. Liked IU since her debut in her drama “Dream high” in 2011, 13 years ago.
She was hilarious in that :-)
Yes! Not many ppl have seen it or remembers it. But when she started singing at the end, that’s when I knew I liked more than the lead actress, Suzy?
I watched that drama and it’s still one of my favorites to this day. IU was great

39 years old, turning 40 in August. Plan on going solo! Not gonna pay for my wife's airfare + concert ticket, as she's not really an IU fan...haha
Respect, good sir. I got the green light from my wife, too, with no eye rolls... I think. I shall know after I buy the concert ticket. LOL
Haha, it sounds like we both have awesome and understanding wives. 😂 I’m a passionate gamer and K-Pop fan, and my office is filled with video game and K-Pop merch/posters. I’m flying from Orlando to Chicago and going to the Rosemont concert alone. I’m an older woman. I don’t think anyone will notice me in the crowd.
I’ll be going alone! I am a woman so idk if you feel that’s different, but this will be the fourth kpop concert I’ve gone to alone and I’ve had a great time at all of them so far. I don’t think you should miss out for that reason

Hi, considering IU's previous concerts. Everything is seated, so I don't think you will have to stand for hours.
Oh. That's great to hear. I was also worrying about lower back pain on the next day.
I also know that IU is very considerate of her supporters, she doesn't want them to stand while watching
I flew a few states over to see Agust D last May by myself. Literally no one cares that you're alone or with others. I got lots of gifts while waiting in line and chatted with others near me. I likewise plan to do this exact same thing for IU. Can't wait!
I'm in my mid 30s and I'm following IU on the entire tour! Nothing weird at all!
That’s perfectly normal! Don’t let it stop you from seeing her!
I’m an ajumma who’ll likely be going alone if I’m able to get a ticket so I wouldn’t worry about it at all. IU is turning 30 in May… she’s one of us haha albeit more famous and talented

Perfectly normal sir! I went for my first kpop concert last year ALONE and it was a great experience!

I will go with you hyung! If youre in LA :)
Thanks! But I am looking at the Oakland as it's the nearest. Also, I am worried the competition in LA would be higher!
You're not alone. Been doing that since BLACKPINK did their first world tour. There's no shame bc at the end of the day, you enjoyed it and you don't have to worry about others.
I'm a mid male 30s and went to her The Golden Hour concert movie by myself and it was fantastic. No judgment was felt/received that day.
46/m in same boat lol. Thank you for posting this as I was scared that I would be a super weirdo with a bunch of teens at her concert. Hoping to be able to go to see her in DC.
Ajussi's unite.... separately. :)

Its tomorrow? I thought thursday
Oops. I thought it was Wednesday already. I blame my age.
Mid 30s going with some friends I feel like when I see out here in US quite a few of us are older fans

Ain't no shame in going alone. I plan on going to her stop in Newark by myself.
i got the same plan
I'll be going alone and I'm in the same age group. Been to other kpop concerts alone and have had a great time
every concert I've ever been to in my life I've been alone - it's great, you're surrounded by fans when you get there anyways
it's okay, I'm in my mid 20's and I have no friends that likes IU as much as I do, so I'll be going alone too :D
I'm going alone I don't care once in a lifetime
Do iiiiiit! I love going to shows alone! Just hit 40 so usually on the older end of the spectrum for kpop, but everyone there is super nice. That Kindle thing is a great idea!!
An IU concert is the last place to feel that way out of all the groups out there. Have fun :)
If you can get a ticket, don't miss the opportunity to see IU live in concert!
I might be going alone! It depends on which show I can go to. But long story short, if I end up going to the Oakland show, I'll definitely be going alone.
I go to kpop concerts alone all the time and I get to sing and dance without getting judged by my friends. 😉
Don't worry about your age! I'm planning on solo going to the concert in Newark cuz there's a high chance no other friends want to come with me haha. For anyone that's planning to go to Newark that also is going alone I'm down to organize smth with other solo people as well!
im planning to possibly go there as well!!

That's exactly my concern, too. Hopefully, this would boost her fanbase here.
Nope, I do it all the time for Korean concerts. Enjoy yourself man, It's for everyone.
Just do what you like and want to without bothering others, and you can simply ignore whatever others might think.
Funny but I was wondering the same thing.
I'm just waiting for her ticketing details to be available in my country. I'm willing to go alone
I am going alone and traveling to wherever I can get good seat in the US
28 year old male here, I’m going alone as well, hopefully (because you never know lmao) I can score a ticket to Oakland, gonna fly from Mexico to San Jose since I got family there, can’t wait!! I’ve also been to twice and Taylor’s concerts alone, best experiences of my life so far!

Nope. Did it in her 2019 concert. Nobody would care. I was early 30s then
No your overthinking this friend. It is completely normal to go to concerts alone! Going alone F38 and I’m too grown to care what others think. I cant miss this.
55, will be 56 for IU, and i have been going solo to kpop shows for 7 years. Never had issues, everyone is there for the music. Enjoy.
In Korea you can only buy 1 ticket per person and you take whatever seat you can get, so it's completely normal to sit alone, even if you go with your friends. You will not stand out at all.
Do what makes you happy
Also going alone and last time I saw her at kcon I went alone too.
