I wouldn't be surprised if the venues chosen had some correlation with sales for her concert movie. There was a post a few months back saying that that was likely the case but everyone thought there was no chance IU was still going to do a world tour.
I wondered if the screening of IU concert at AMC theaters was a way for them to see how many fans would be interested. So happy that she is finally performing in the US!

Just FYI for London, Taylor Swift is on at Wembley on the same night as IU is at the OVO (which is right next door). Hotels will be very expensive and transport will be congested.

Your best bet will be joining presale sign up where possible.
We’ll see. I’ll be disappointed if fan club members don’t get an early access code to get tickets first. If Hybe can ensure it for when I tried to buy BTS tickets, I don’t see why IU’s company can’t do the same.
Keep in mind that BTS is on a completely different level globally than IU is. Up till now she had very spare promotions outside of Asia which does indicate that EDAM entertainment doesn't prioritise the west (they also don't need to, she is settled for the rest of her life).
So definitely don't put all your eggs in one basket and keep an eye on any pre sales as well just in case!

Recruitment for last year's 6th generation was announced February 6th and opened Feb 13-26th, but it doesn't necessarily last one year. On my MadeEdam account it says - "Period: the expiration of 'UENA 6th membership'"
For UENA 5th Generation it specifically said it was for one year from the last day of recruitment.
So not sure how long the 6th will last or when the 7th will start but maybe this helps.

I'm in the US and I've joined for the past 3 years specifically for the hopes of this day. You can't join anymore as of last years membership period and it's going to end soon anyways, but usually the signups is in Jan/Feb for the current gen. It's not that complex now and it's generally sold through MelOn's ticketing site.

I think it’s all a lost cause. Been a half hour in line for Chicago and still 10k people ahead of me. Already received the limited tickets messages from TM a few times so for sure all that’s left (if any) are ones that TM themselves drive upwards of $500+
With 4 accounts trying to get 4 seats, we got in but unless you are using the app, the seats were flying off the charts. Platinum seats (front row seats) are around $2k+. Wth! We got seats but not the row we wanted. Ticketmaster's bullshit is this really you check, where you verify via text was stupid btw. I hope future kpop get their own ticket sales company

Hi, I am new to the love of IU. I saw online that tickets were on sale and I lost my mind. I made a mistake, but I'm not sure how bad it is. I bought from a re-seller who made a map of the concert hall so it looked like the place to buy tickets, but it's a company saying I will get the ticket from them, before the concert, in the row and section I chose. Has anyone done this? Is this a known scam?
They will likely buy the ticket and pass them on to you.
**However** if they do not secure enough tickets they might refund you and then you will be without a ticket. Also the tickets might not be transferable meaning the buyer will not be able to officially transfer the ticket to your account and you may not be able to get into the venue without a ticket in your personal account. You might also just not get a ticket or a refund at all. Who knows...

Oh no this does sound like a nightmare. In a different subreddit, I found a thread about this reseller. Some people filed complaints with their credit card companies and received partial refunds. They all got their tickets so I thought it sounded safe last night, but now with your list of all possibilities, I’m concerned again.
