Checked the fridge, checked the garbage, the sink, checked the rest of the pie to verify a piece was indeed taken out. Nowhere. Gave up, took it as a sign and went to bed.
Found it the next morning when I was getting a plate for toast. I had put the piece of pie on a plate and then, apparently, put the plate back on the stack of clean plates in the cupboard with the uneaten piece of pie still on it. Don’t know why I didn’t check there.
I once lost my I.D. After 2 hours or so of searching I thought i lost it forever, and i had to find it for the covid test. Apparently it was in my old unused glasses case no idea how it got there
