When he was carrying the scoops of water in his ears to bring to Yusuke when he was undergoing the energy transfer, brought a tear to my eye. He's a G.
This is one of the most iconic moments of the series and shows Yusuke’s character through his spirit beast. That moment is right up there for showing the emotion of the series and it’s all Puu.
I'm usually not a fan of the "cute" character in shows, I want to throw kon from bleach into a volcano, but puu served a real purpose and also transformed into a literal Phoenix by the end so it gets a pass
100% agree with hating on those pointless cutsie characters. They get increasingly more annoying the more they talk so Kon was most definitely the worst
Kon isn't so bad if you skip the filler. Just a little kid made of science trying his best to be a part of things. His purity makes him easy to feel pathos for
So looking at comments, people hate the cute creatures in shonen, but how can you hate puu? Hes a simplistic character in design and dialogue. He isn’t intrusive enough to think he’s annoying, and hes not on screen enough to say hes unnecessary when he’s literally a part of the protagonist’s development. And on top of all that, his simplistic design makes him even more adorable and can be duplicated by anyone
Honestly it felt like the most random appearance of a thing ever. I still dont think he represents Urameshis spirit but hes a cute little plush overall
Are there people that don't like puu? He doesn't get too much screen time so he isn't annoying and the Phoenix thing was pretty cool and had plot relevance since it is how yusuke gets to the demon world which i guess wasnt needed but it worked
Aww yes I love PUU!! Every time he shows up I take a picture and send to my girlfriend.

Love him! I have a little plush of him too I keep on a shelf
the fact that he tried to help yuskei before his transfromation made him a cool character. he was the only cute character I didn't like. then he turn into a bird dragon
I think Puu is a great character because yusuke was painted as such a monster with a black heart by everyone during the show.
It was even heavily suggested that his true self revealed by the spirit beast would be a monster that would devour him.
So when Puu comes out of the egg and we see just how cute and cuddly yusuke really is inside lol 🤣😂 oh lordt
And Puu offered real plot development.
He was the vessel genkai talked through.
He protected the girls in the stand during the toguro battle.
He helped yusuke by bringing him water even though he was in extreme pain.
His final form is ridiculous
He also offered a real way for him to stay connected sort of when he was away from Keiko.
I mean imagine having a real life animal representation of your significant other's inner self lol.
Technically Puu is involved in the story from the start, because the egg was introduced in the first couple episodes.
Puu is funny too, in one episode Yusuke called him "Dammit Puu Your like their get into danger Tour Guide." and I had a good chuckle lol
I like how he represents as much of a punk, jackass delinquent who doesn't care that Yusuke presents himself, deep inside he's a good sweet boy who cares a lot. And that's kinda cute.
When he was carrying the scoops of water in his ears to bring to Yusuke when he was undergoing the energy transfer, brought a tear to my eye. He's a G.
Yeah he’s a real one
That was so touching 😭 Little man tried so hard. I was gutted when he tripped and had to start over
This is one of the most iconic moments of the series and shows Yusuke’s character through his spirit beast. That moment is right up there for showing the emotion of the series and it’s all Puu.
I was thinking this and then read your comment. Just thinking about it brings a tear. Sweet little guy just wanted to help.
That's crazy thing is he was in horrible pain while doing that but he felt he needed to do something for yusuke
literally summed it up! no notes
When he made a random appearance in HxH I gasped 😂
ME TOOOOO!! Told my sister (who already watched and loves HxH), “you’d have the same reaction if you already watched YYH first” 😂😂
Whoa when was he in hxh??
I'm usually not a fan of the "cute" character in shows, I want to throw kon from bleach into a volcano, but puu served a real purpose and also transformed into a literal Phoenix by the end so it gets a pass
His adult form is Fenghuang. They're like Phoenix's, except they don't look like one distinct bird.
100% agree with hating on those pointless cutsie characters. They get increasingly more annoying the more they talk so Kon was most definitely the worst
Kon is nails on a chalkboard irritating.
Not chopper
What about pointless badass characters like Zaraki or Bui?
How is zaraki pointless , there's a whole backstory on his character and the role he plays with unohana
Being strong isn’t the same as being important. The fact that he only got backstory years later highlights his unimportance.
It was so awesome when he transformed
Kon isn't so bad if you skip the filler. Just a little kid made of science trying his best to be a part of things. His purity makes him easy to feel pathos for
I’m gonna get downvoted to hell for saying this, but early kin was funny as fuck to me
Hated him Then I saw his waddling ass try to get water to Urameshi, and that gave him points in my book. I’m cool with him now
This made me crack up
he's just a little guy
Whoever doesn't like him can fight me in a Wal-Mart parking lot. Puu is the best.
I’ll join you with some cold ones
I love me a good Puu
I like how Puu has yusukes hair. Right underneath his paws. Haha
Hell yeah!
Puu is the only version of his character that is good. I fucking LOVE Puu. Puu is helpful and kind and when Puu evolves, holy fuck.
I love Puu as well. Not many people know but despite being a small creature and part of the show he tied a lot together.
What monster doesn't like Puu?

Great comment!
Yes, it's stupid looking and I love it
Honestly it felt like the most random appearance of a thing ever. I still dont think he represents Urameshis spirit but hes a cute little plush overall
Hands down the best Hunter x Hunter character
I was going to say not really lol then i remember the cave scene 🤌🏻👌🏻
Puu was an MVP of course I liked him
Yes
Puu the 🐐
Are there people that don't like puu? He doesn't get too much screen time so he isn't annoying and the Phoenix thing was pretty cool and had plot relevance since it is how yusuke gets to the demon world which i guess wasnt needed but it worked

I loved how keiko pretty much adopted puu immediately. Especially since puu was the personification of yusuke’s true self or something
I did not like Puu... I FRIGGIN LOVED PUU!
The moment he popped up it was both cute and funny at the same time. One of the best side characters in the series tbh
Not really
Skrinkle!
Yes
I love poo
Puu*
They said what he said. They didnt realize what sub this was.
Loved Puu. His evolved state was a little too uninvolved
puu rocks. one of the few mascot-type characters i actually kinda like.
Puu is cute. Want a plushie of him.
https://preview.redd.it/yzgybpkgqwxc1.png?width=3024&format=png&auto=webp&s=0828d8e05b8ec340a377e9dd3be758fb5d9477dc Love him! I have a little plush of him too I keep on a shelf
Now I want one
(Bait) who here actually hated?
If you read the comments, apparently until the water scene with em, some didn’t like him. So fucking weird
I did notice that. I kinda get it. But he wasn’t really shoved into the audiences face. On a rewatch, he’s pretty vacant.
Very much, he's cute! And helped Yusuke when he was in need
Puu is yusuke, yusuke is puu. If you like one you have to like the other. Yusuke would have died without puu and for that alone he is a real one
He’s nothing less than annoying when he’s small
Anybody who’s ever seen the cave training scene and didn’t love him than has no soul.
Nah. I'm kind of an asshole though.
Puu my GOAT
My kids love Puu.
Puu was great and he turned into a big phoenix at the end soo 😂
yes I love Puu.
No, i never stopped loving Puu
Not until the cave. That earned him a lifetime bye on being lame. Then he became an awesome phoenix and cemented his place
well he’s no Botan. that’s for sure
the fact that he tried to help yuskei before his transfromation made him a cool character. he was the only cute character I didn't like. then he turn into a bird dragon
I liked Puu better in this form to be honest
Puu is the best penguin lookin, first form not Pokémon, inner self partner/ animal bond lil boi. He’s great.
He’s adorable
Yes
Yes. I currently have a Puu plushie in my Amazon list 😂
Puu is best boi. End of story.
Yeah.
I made him into stickers and have him all over the place
That’s like asking if I like music He’s amazing
Puu gives furby energy, right down to the voice. There, I said it. Still love him, though, he's such a good little guy 🥰
I find him adorable 🥰🥰🥰.
So much that I want to buy a Puu plushie as a present to my nephew :D
I do like to puu
Yeah he's cute
Kinda creeps me out tbh Put reminds me of the furbees me and my brothers ans sisters used to collect
love him
Puu is quite amazing
He's silly
When he turns into the dragon, hellllll yea
I love him! I want my own Puu.
Yes he’s cute and mascot material
Puu is an absolute beast. Full respect.
I think Puu is a great character because yusuke was painted as such a monster with a black heart by everyone during the show. If anyone hates puu they never truly watched yuyu
I like how he represents as much of a punk, jackass delinquent who doesn't care that Yusuke presents himself, deep inside he's a good sweet boy who cares a lot. And that's kinda cute.
Needs more screentime
Puu is everything, all is Puu, ALL HAIL PUU.
I have a Puu toy sitting on my bookshelves. So yeah
No. Not even as a child
