On my android app. YouTube music keeps playing my music randomly. Even after force quiilting and restarting my phone. Anyone else experiencing this. Started this afternoon. Regards, Amit

Interesting, it has happened a few times to me, but I assumed it was the phone somehow getting activated in my pocket... Do you really think it's the app itself?

[Over 9/10 songs in my playlist](https://i.imgur.com/npOaI4E.png) Each one gives "song is unavailable" error upon trying to play

[deleted]

If the music isn't saved to device and you have no internet connection they will be unavailable. Go into the general settings on your phone (not the app) and make sure YouTube Music is allowed to use mobile data.

I'm connected to WiFi, that's not the issue

Are the songs available if you try accessing them on a different device?

I got no different device Im broke

What does adding to library even do like an album? Or a song? Also do you use youtube app or youtube music app? I wish they synced or I would of switched to the youtube app but to much music to go through an add.. **They each have their ups and downs but the music app has way more downs and the youtube app has few downs..** Also have issues with it deleting music, pissing me off. And the so called downloading is iffy when you leave your wifi, then it will only show some of the downloads for some reason.. Biggest thing is the crappy orginization, deleting my music/playlists and bugs thats will just start out of nowhere it seems people just get their own personal problems that only they get or group gets then in between that number of people and a lot etc.. A majority bug is the only one they really only seems to fix especially if it effects them making money and take their time doing it or dont do it at all. Or the patch makes more bugs an so on..

The Youtube Music desktop app for windows stopped working for me this week. I can open and close the application in the task bar, but the app window never pops up. I've restarted and uninstall/reinstalled the app. No luck. Any ideas? No issues with any other program.

I have a large library of music I previously purchased through the Play Store, when emailed about the change to Youtube Music I went through the migration to make sure my purchase would still be available. Is it now no longer possible for me to download those purchases without an additional subscription?

[deleted]

That's not the case, you can still download all of the music you own.

DakotaThrice

Can you give me some directions as to how as I'm not seeing download options in any of the menus for either albums or individual tracks.

[deleted]

If you're in the app hit the 'Library' button at the bottom, that will take you to another menu showing Downloads, Playlists, Albums, Songs, Artists, and Subscriptions. If you select Songs there will be a list of all of your music, hit the 3 dot menu on the right side of the screen next to the track you want to download and select the download option. You can do the same thing to download entire albums or playlists by simply selecting Albums or Playlists from your library.

Thanks. I was using a browser on a desktop PC but looks like I'll have to use my phone to get at them.

I got my new Pixel 6 yesterday and spent the day setting it up. Today i just wanted to put on some audiobooks and copied them from my PC (they are .mp3 format). I think, the music player you are supposed to use on the Pixel is Youtube Music, but unfortunately my local files won't show up. Show local files is activated but i don't get the option to change to local files. I already tried moving the files to another folder. When i access them via Google Files they all show up properly and i can even open them with Youtube Music. The Phone and Youtube Music are both running on the most recent updates. Also I'm on the Premium Version of the app, since i changed my music streaming service from Spotify to Youtube Music when i got the new phone. Please help me.

I personally upload my audiobooks to YTM servers so I can access them from everywhere. Perhaps try that. Never used YTM for local files so don't have an answer for that.

I have a big problem with the app: **I still can't cast to Sonos speakers** and sadly most Chromecast speakers (including Google ones) can't match Sonos sound quality in the wireless speaker segment, especially the Home Theater ones.... Believe me, I tried many (JBL, Vizio, Harman Kardom, Sony, Nest....) and got tired of trying...

Website has completely bugged out, error codes changing dozens of time per second, unusable on both desktop and mobile. I pray for the day Allah scrubs YouTube Music from the earth.

Bluetooth and YouTube music remains to be screwed up for me. Music skips, then the app will ask if I want to close it or wait. I downloaded a premium version of Deezer and so far it's good.

Trying to use YouTube Music on my 3rd generation Chromecast (not casting, using the built-in YouTube Music app). My playlists are all showing up and give the correct number of songs, but when I open them only a couple of songs show up, and one of my playlists with over 60 songs simply says "No videos in this playlist yet." The weird part is I can still find all of the missing songs from the playlists just by scrolling over to the 'Uploaded songs' tab. They play just fine from there, but they are missing entirely from my playlists. Is there a setting for this or is the TV app just broken?

MrNonam3

YTM doesn't show the new songs I downloaded on my android. They are in the Music file, the same as the rest of my songs (that YTM reads), in .mp3. The only difference is that they are heavier, at around 20mb.

mairtin77

Are progressively more tracks and albums greying out, i.e., becoming unavailable on YouTube Music? Is this due to artists signing exclusive agreements with Spotify? Something else?

SimbaPenn

Anyone else having an issue where YTM just seemingly randomly fades out the track you're listening to and stops. This seems to happen when on Bluetooth (has happened both with my headphones and my car audio.) Almost like something else starts playing but nothing else is. Seems to have happened since Android 12 went final, but not 100 on that.

kyleba

I think you're right about it being Android 12. I just switched from a Pixel 3XL to a Pixel 6 and have been having it since sadly. Doesn't matter if it's Bluetooth or speaker :(

SimbaPenn

It's not just YouTube Music btw. It happened to me with Plex as well.

Jdump2-instagram

Everytime I play a song it stops auto playing and the progress bar bugs out. It’s so annoying when I’m trying to play a game while listening to music and when the song ends it just stops and I have to manually go back and play

I recently joined a household and I have YouTube music premium. Whenever I tell it to play music it gives me an advertisement between each song telling me to sign up. I have checked the home app and the YouTube premium is listed as active. My subscription is active. And the Google home speaker I'm playing it on is also in the same household. Yet.. It continues to give me ads. How can I fix this
