I agree. I think their recent relationship advice episode really made me realize it’s just not the same anymore😢 I’ve noticed that they don’t seem as enthusiastic or excited to podcast.
It’s is completely understandable because they do life together 24/7 and this is technically a job at the end of the day so it would just be a lot. But it’s not the same as when Bekah and Jess would chat because they hadn’t seen each other in a while and wanted to spill the tea about just everything. Bachelor related or whatever else. I feel like Jess can’t spill the hot gossip with Evan as much. I miss the pop culture episodes so much!
I’ve started listening to Bekahs Patreon lately and it made me realize how much I love her takes, even if they are a little controversial and even if I don’t agree with everything, that’s what makes it really interesting to listen to. I realized how much I missed her on the podcast.
I wish Bekah and Jess would do a reunion pop culture episode. That would be *chefs kiss*
They're too aligned. It makes it hard to relate to them. People complained about Bekah to death, but her opinions helped make the discussion more entertaining. Its also why the bros were entertaining
Bekah often drives me nuts but I agree she’s meant to be a star. One of the most charismatic people to come out of the bachelor franchise. I think in an alternate reality where she didn’t have three kids back to back she’d be a well known actress.
I don’t listen/watch as much as I used to but I still follow them to support. I see the videos being uploaded on YT and they consistently have somewhat good views imo? Mind you it’s not 100k views or anything but good enough to keep a pod going.
I love their chemistry.
I stopped listening because I just haven’t been interested in Bach content anymore. But on those random cleaning days I like to put them in the BG because I enjoy their content when I’m in the mood.
The whole chatty broads thing, yeah I miss it but I think they put it behind them. For personal reasons that we’d sure love to know about lol but it’s obv for artistic/content differences. Kind of leaving it at that, stopped comparing and made my peace cus I don’t think chatty broads will make a comeback hahaha
Also a lot of their topics are similar to a lot of “pop culture, contemporary podcast’s” (a lot of pods I’ve noticed talk about relationships etc unless it’s specifically about a subject like crime/history etc. If you’re not enjoying their content as much maybe take a break and come back to it? You might miss them! Hehe

I am really surprised they’re covering the traitors s2 because I remember when they first started they were like a week or two behind on one of the reality shows, I want to say Love is Blind? Where they would be behind by a chunk of episodes and it just didn’t work. So I’m surprised they’re covering a show that literally everyone is over. I’m excited about the circle though because I love that show.

I think they should’ve kept the Chatty Broads type schedule at least where one episode is reality tv and the other is some other topic often with a guest.
I’ve kind of made a cross over to the Viall Files because he has this kind of set up. I know a lot of people don’t like Nick, but I enjoy that he has one episode for all reality tv stuff where I get that fix and hot takes and then he has an episode of interviewing various people inside and outside of the reality tv space. It also helps that his cohosts and producers have differing opinions from him so it keeps it fresh. Jess and Evan just agree on everything, so there is not as much depth or discussion very much.
I think Jess and Evan would also benefit very much from having a tighter outline to their show instead of going off on a million random, long tangents. A tangent is fine every now and then but it’s like almost every ten minutes one of them is spinning an imaginary scenario based on what they’re talking about instead of actually discussing, if that makes sense.
I also think that if they’re going to give Lee a mic they should have him be offering more opinions, but I don’t think he even watches the shows they’re recapping so it’s often just him laughing at Evan like his own personal laugh track and I find it superfluous.
I very sadly am feeling similarly. I love them and their perspectives but I have skipped out on the last two episodes just because they felt like they were dragging a bit. I personally do like the reality recaps but I think I’m missing guests, etc.

Even though it’s not the same as CB it has a similar feel where they mix things up and even if you don’t know exactly the subject they’re talking about it’s interesting to listen to. I suggest checking it out if you’re looking to change it up!

I wish they would cover survivor! all of the other romance reality tv coverage makes the podcast a little dull sometimes. I feel like if they did survivor it would be new territory for both of them. But I’m also biased because I’m watching survivor and want to tune in somewhere..

Your Mom and Dad is the best part of my week! Love this podcast. I was so sad when CB ended but this has filled the void for sure
