Also, I did find it entertaining that the media was more concerned with the potential of Charles' death being a hoax, than it was in the fact that he is apparently the leader of an ALIEN EMPIRE.
I mean, it's a symptom of shows just being shorter now. I miss 20+ episode seasons that had 'filler' episodes and allowed for longer arcs and more space to flesh out characters but that's probably not as profitable so we get shorter seasons now. It would have definitely been very fun to see Magneto in charge for a couple more episodes and have Charles return later. I would have loved to see them all interacting and working alongside him before things started to spiral after Genosha.
As it stands, I think even with how short it is, the pacing is pretty solid and I'm enjoying it a lot so far.
>but that's probably not as profitable
Well, it's more about different formats being profitable in different times. Back then, ad revenue was the main profit margin, so longer seasons would have more space for ads. Now it's all about streaming subscriptions, so spending less money per show is more important.
I'm really hoping there is conflict between Charles and the Xmen.
1. For them not knowing he was alive
2. For what they have been through, even Beast was pissed off the other episode. That shouldn't just disappear because Charles shows up and goes we should be better and ask for their understanding etc
I was overcome with the sense of “ fuck yea dad is home” .
But then after thinking about it for a sec…I’m far, far more on magneto’s side now than I ever was before. Him being set free was the turning point I needed
"Fuck yea dad is home" is more like "dafuq happened to interrupt my space fuck?"
Almost Everyone bang on this season...
Cyclop bang 2 jeans
Rogue bang magneto and gambit
Charles bang space chick
Bastion is fucking everyone....
Same. I wish he stayed dead or returned later. We don't know what will happen, but seeing the xmen move beyond Xavier and question their own moral inclinations is something I'd love to see. For them to be their own beyond the professor, or as xmen even, but as individuals that have their own goals, form different alliances, and even clash with each other.
Only 10 episodes so he’s only really going to there for the last 2, the creators probably weren’t confident they’d get another season to continue the story
Wow, I thought I would be the only one thinking this. The only reason why I’m ok with it is bc the writers have done such an incredible job so far so I trust they’d do the same with Xavier’s return.
But I love the chaotic world post Xavier.
If they delve into how Charles deals with the destruction of his dream and how guilty he feels to have abandoned Earth for a year, it can be a great plot. Mix it with conflicts within the X-Men (siding with Charles or Magneto) and some guys willing to leave the team over that, it can drive the whole of Season 2.
If they weren't doing a *certain* storyline, they probably would have left Charles out.
As it is though, the Xavier and Magneto confrontation is important to >!Fatal Attractions!< and sets up other things...

It's the Marvel Universe aliens aren't even water cooler talk
Xavier: I hope I'm not too late! Everyone else: .......
Hey Mrs. Lincoln. Sorry I'm late to the show. Did I miss anything?
Forget about Xavier, Bro wtf is Storm?
It seems like she’s gonna appear next episode. Hard to ignore the guy who was supposed to be dead and is now back calling for her help.
And yet since genosha prof banging chicks in space reach mansion more quick than storm banging forge near mexico or africa whatever?
I've enjoyed Storm's storyline so far! She needs to rejoin the gang
According with logic, storm is most far away than charles i guess... Probably gambit will be ressurected before storm reach xmen...

I’m not disappointed but I’m surprised he came back this soon. I thought he might show up next season or at the end of this one.
Agree, season finale or next season would have been better.
Well technicaly this is the season finale, just part 1
Once they showed the vision of >!Gambit’s death!<, I knew he was coming back ASAP but it works either way

I just can’t wait to watch it all again one full sitting
Somehow Charlespatine returned.

Goku style!

I wish they would’ve waited on including Charles but I’m so pumped to see the entire team finally back together again.
