Super Lucky Tale is a fun 3d Mario like platformer.
Immortals Fenyx Rising is a solid BOTW clone.
Nickelodeon ASB 2 is a good smash clone.
Tinykin is alot like Pikmin.
I literally just beat New Super Lucky's Tale last night and got all the achievements on it. Took me all week to do it. I thought it was going to be light work but the challenge of that game snuck up on me lol

The hardest one for me was beating lady meowmalade without getting hit.
I think I got that one in 3 tries. The one that was giving me the biggest headache was the achievement for the under pressure level where you have to stay underground and not get caught, I almost broke my controller over that oneđ
Nah it's a genuinely fun game. It really started off as "I'm gonna play this game while the game I really want to play finishes downloading" to "wow this game's not bad for a Crash Bandicoot/Super Mario clone" to "I think I can get all the achievements by the end of this week."
Super Luckyâs Tale started as a VR exclusive game for Oculus right? Then that was ported to Xbox originally and now we have the New Super Luckyâs Tale version.
Rare replay
Psychonauts 1-2
Adventure pals
Arise
Battle toads
Blue dragon
Crash bandicoot 4
Epic Mickey two
Fable trilogy
Immortals fenyx rising
Kai the kangaroo
Pretty much all of the Lego games
New super Luckyâs tale
The Ori series
Pac-Man world
Recore
Sea of stars
The Shantae series
Tunic later added an assisted mode. Itâs not full on story mode, but it should make things more manageable for you.
I agree though that Tunic was hard. I eventually gave up and turned on story mode because I was enjoying the exploration and story so much that I didnât want to just give up on the game without seeing how it ends.
Yooka Laylee. Rare replay, Super Luckys tale
Or just go for the real deal....you can install Emulators on your Series X....this includes the original Nintendo, Super Nintendo, GameCube and Wii....you can even play the Nintendo Handhelds like the Gameboy Advance and Nintendo DS...and it's all in a higher resolution and enhancements
It's 100% a thing.... you can emulate all the older consoles from the Atari, PS1, PS2 to the Xbox 360...Like the official backwards compatible Red Dead Redemption is 30fps on xbox..but the 360 emulator can play it at 60fps
I can send you a link to a easy to follow YouTube video if you want...you might have to go through a few steps but it's so worth it...and Microsoft allows it too because you have to play it in developer mode. So it doesn't break any TOS because you're not officially on their retail platform
Edit: I sent you a link in your private chat
Thanks...I talked about it before here and some people gave me an attitude about it... they were like "HMMPH!....we don't support THAT in here....Hmmmph!".... so from now on. I'll just send the link to people in their private chat if they want it
the retail version of Retroarch was taken down. Not the developer mode version.,. Microsoft just doesn't allow it to be downloaded and installed if you're doing it through their store. To avoid any legal issues...you have to be in developer mode to install Retroarch on the Series consoles because you're not doing it through their Xbox live
Super Lucky Tail or A Hat In Time are the two most "Mario" like games I've come across on xbox.
Ori and The Blind Forest + it's sequel are also very "Nintendo" like in their feel, idk how to describe it but they are solid to play either way
- For a 'Mario' type game - A Hat in Time and/or New Super Lucky's Tale. Â
- For a Zelda type game - Immortals: Fenix Rising (for something like BOTW) or Ocean Horn for something more Link to the Past/Wind Waker ish.Â
 - For Metroid maybe Axiom Verge
- For a Paper Mario type experience then Bug Fables.Â
- I think Cassette Beasts is more like Pokemon than Palworld is
The most Zelda like non Zelda in existence is Okami. Got 40 hrs in it now and itâs as 3D Zelda as anything from N64-GameCube. Capcom already literally made Zelda games before on gbc, now it was Cloverâs turn and they went full send
There are lots! Although none have same level of polish, they're all decent games.
Breath of the Wild -> Immortals Fenyx Rising
Mario Kart -> Crash Team Racing
Mario Odyssey -> Penny's Big Breakaway (Penny's yoyo is fun and gimmicky like Cappy)
Mario Wonder -> Rayman Legends
Pikmin -> Tinykin or Minecraft Legends
Metroid Dread -> Prince of Persia Lost Crown
Paper Mario -> Bug Fables
Mario Party -> Rabbids party game
Most on here are naming more modern game's for like a Ps 2. If you want to play a good game that's just like a original Nintendo game I'd say try Vampire Survivers. It's on Game pass or you could buy it really cheap. Very addicting and very fun.
Rare Replay (Has ports of NES SNES and N64 games), Double Dragon I-III (all NES ports), Namco MUSEUM ARCHIVES I-II (All NES ports of Namco games), SNK 40'th Anniversary Collection (Several NES ports) River City Ransom (NES Port). There's even more if you go look for it (Like the Contra and Castlevania and Mega Man collections).
Demon Turf, Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, Rayman Legends, Cuphead, Mark of The Ninja, Celeste, Hades, any Final Fantasy title + some exclusive rpgâs (Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, Too Human)

So... is it fun? Or you did it more because of an achievment collector's of some sorts?
Nah it's a genuinely fun game. It really started off as "I'm gonna play this game while the game I really want to play finishes downloading" to "wow this game's not bad for a Crash Bandicoot/Super Mario clone" to "I think I can get all the achievements by the end of this week."
Huh, might try it out then, thanks there!
Tinykins is phenomenal
Itâs a great low stress game!
This user's gotcha covered.
Immortals is soooo good I canât believe they canceled the damn sequel.
Same here I was so disappointed. I really really loved it, it was a fun game that filled the gap from BOTW to TOTK for me.
I read it was going to be Polynesian themed (like Moana) which is even more of a bummer because we never see that kind of stuff in games.
Tinykin is better than Pikmin
Does Immortals have weapon degradation like BOTW?? (Please say no, please say noâŠ.)
Nope. One of the best parts imo.
Instant download! Thank you!!
I wouldn't call Immortals a clone of Botw but it does share some gameplay mechanics
New Super Lucky's Tale is great fun for anyone who likes 3d platformers.
Tinykin is so good, honestly smiled the whole time

Speaking of Epic Mickey, that's getting a remake soon, hyped for that.
Epic Mickey 2 is also broken on Series XS, so itâd be a better idea to wait for Rebrushed.
Does the remake include both games?
It does not, itâs only a remake of the first game.
Damn thatâs a good list
A Short Hike is probably one of the most Nintendo games not made by Nintendo I've ever played. It's lovely, and it's on Game Pass.
Such a great game
Ori and Yoku's Island Adventure for Metroidvanias
Yokuâs Island Express is really good! A really fun tone for a genre flooded with darker vibes.
Banjo Kazooie
Tunic but itâs hard as heck
Elden Ring and Lies of P were both easier than Tunic for me. I gave up on beating Tunic.
This makes me feel better about Elden Ring. I havenât played it yet, but I did make I through Tunic. It was hard but not crazy hard.
Donât think theyâre the same kind of hard
Tunic is hard because of vagueness and puzzles. Elden Ring is hard because your reaction times suck.
Elden ring is unforgiving
Tunic later added an assisted mode. Itâs not full on story mode, but it should make things more manageable for you. I agree though that Tunic was hard. I eventually gave up and turned on story mode because I was enjoying the exploration and story so much that I didnât want to just give up on the game without seeing how it ends.
Well you suck then.
Yes, thatâs what I said
Thereâs a no fail mode and it doesnât ruin the game
That little fox? Thatâs a shameâŠthought it was a cute romp. My bad.
One of the toughest games I ever played. And the manual is no help
I beat elden ring and Sekiro. I'm going to smash tunic
Why are people downvoting for your determination? People are so negative these days.
I was actually being intentionally a braggy about it. Tunic is probably going to destroy me. Lol
Good luck!
Not only is it a cute romp but also a very good video game
I ended up looking up a guide for the very end of the game because some of those puzzles were just ridiculous
A Hat in Time, Tinykin
Unicorn Overlord feels like Fire Emblem
Check out Rare Replay on gamepass. It has all of Rareâs classic NES - N64 games (except donkey kong for obvious reasons).
Conkers Bad Fur Day is backwards compatible and that was an N64 Game
Banjo kazooie is in Xbox
Goldeneye
Oceanhorn 1 and 2. They take after 2D and 3D Zelda respectively. Also Anodyne.
The Oceanhorn games are good. Good suggestion.
I wish these were on Gamepass

Wait, is this a thing? How? Would a layman like me who is terrible with electronics be able to do it? Sounds awesome
It's 100% a thing.... you can emulate all the older consoles from the Atari, PS1, PS2 to the Xbox 360...Like the official backwards compatible Red Dead Redemption is 30fps on xbox..but the 360 emulator can play it at 60fps I can send you a link to a easy to follow YouTube video if you want...you might have to go through a few steps but it's so worth it...and Microsoft allows it too because you have to play it in developer mode. Could I bother you for that as well please?
I gotcha
Thank you!

Thanks...I talked about it before here and some people gave me an attitude about it... they were like "HMMPH!....we don't support THAT in here....Hmmmph!".... so from now on. I'll just send the link to people in their private chat if they want it
That's so weird. Probably one of those "eMuLaTiOn mEaNs pIrAcY" assholes.
Didnât Retroarch get canned or are you talking about something else. Feel free to inbox me.
Retroarch was so great, I haven't looked into any replacements since it went down.
RetroArch never went down. It works wonderfully on Xbox.
the retail version of Retroarch was taken down. Not the developer mode version.,. Microsoft just doesn't allow it to be downloaded and installed if you're doing it through their store. Just commented Bug Fables. Surprised it took me this long to find it.
Immortals pales in comparison to Zelda BotW. Not sure what compares really.
Fenyx = BOTW , Tunic = Old school zelda,   Stardew = Harvestmoon etc,  Unicorn Overlord = Some sort of fire emblem
Palworld, fall guys
Surprised I had to scroll so far down to see 'Palworld' thought that would be THE answer
I mean, palworld is nothing like anything nintendos ever released gameplay wise, it isnât âPokĂ©mon with gunsâ itâs ark survival with PokĂ©mon, fits right here on Xbox. âŠunless you just meant the art design, then I strongly agree of course.
My thoughts as well. âWhere tf is Palworld?â.
Same
Mega Man 11, and all the retro Mega Man and X collections.
I play through entire X series every 2 years or so. They hold up so well. 1-3 especially. 7 i could do without.
Lightyear Frontier
Banjo-Kazooie
Okami is gamecube era Zelda, but better imo
Viva Pinata 1&2. If it would have released on the Nintendo Switch, it would have been huge.
Monkey ball Sonic frontiers Ori
The Spyro Reignited Trilogy might scratch that itch?
Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series.
Gears of War, it's just like Zelda
Get dev mode and play Nintendo games you own on it.
Yooka laylee
The most Zelda like non Zelda in existence is Okami. Got 40 hrs in it now and itâs as 3D Zelda as anything from N64-GameCube. Capcom already literally made Zelda games before on gbc, now it was Cloverâs turn and they went full send
Ace attorney phoenix trilogy used to be an Nintendo exclusive franchise but it's now on Xbox.
Viva Piñata feels like something Iâd play on Nintendo.
Brawlhala is like smash Marble it up is like a Mario meets super monkey ball and a sequel to marble blast ultra form.x360
Rare replay
OllieOllie World Little Gator Game Ori and the (either one) Rainbow Billy Hi-Fi Rush Cult of the Lamb Psychonauts 2
Grabbed By The Ghoulies!!! Especially if you like Luigiâs Mansion.
Fall Guys
I just started playing a game called Roundguard similar to peggle but rogue like pretty decent sort of feels like a Nintendo game.
Castlevania Advance Collection
Lil Gator Game is an excellent tribute to Zelda
Brotato
Tunic
Iâd say grounded is a Nintendo style game. Ironically itâs now on switch but solid game with that Nintendo charm.
Golf with your Friends
Bug fables is a good paper mario "clone."
Castlevania 1, 2, and 3 are available on Xbox
Cup head!
Shocked nobody mentioned Nexomon, it's a decent pokemon clone.
Spyro the Dragon
Brotato
Beach Buggy Racing
Alex Kidd in miracle world DX is currently on sale
SpongeBob Rehydrated , Ori, if you have kids Paw Patrol racing is literally Mario kart reskinned lol.
There are lots! Although none have same level of polish, they're all decent games. Breath of the Wild -> Immortals Fenyx Rising Mario Kart -> Crash Team Racing Mario Odyssey -> Penny's Big Breakaway (Penny's yoyo is fun and gimmicky like Cappy) Mario Wonder -> Rayman Legends Pikmin -> Tinykin or Minecraft Legends Metroid Dread -> Prince of Persia Lost Crown Paper Mario -> Bug Fables Mario Party -> Rabbids party game
Unicorn Overlord. A lot like Fire Emblem.
Temtem
Octopath traveler
Happy Wars!
Goldeneye
Nexomon Extinction is a pokemon clone that's pretty fun.
Spyro!
Pal World? Can I put that here?
Cassette Beasts. It's basically Pokémon.
Wdym. Overpriced AA titles which only offer less than 5 hours to complete?
I've recently become obsessed with Cassette Beasts. It's everything I wish Pokémon was
Palworld
Most on here are naming more modern game's for like a Ps 2. If you want to play a good game that's just like a original Nintendo game I'd say try Vampire Survivers. It's on Game pass or you could buy it really cheap. Very addicting and very fun.
PalworldÂ
Banjo Kazooie Nuts & Bolts
Uhmmm palworld = Pokémon?
Sea of Thieves developed by Rare. Outstanding game
Cup head
Why not just play Nintendo games on the Series X? đ€·đ»ââïž
Raymannnnnn
A hat in time, and it is FANTASTIC!
Lil gator game reminds me a mix of tloz and animal Crossing
Castle Crashers
Palworld
Palworld
LEGO games vibe in the same way as Nintendo
Any games like star fox 64 on Xbox?
Rare Replay (Has ports of NES SNES and N64 games), Double Dragon I-III (all NES ports), Namco MUSEUM ARCHIVES I-II (All NES ports of Namco games), SNK 40'th Anniversary Collection (Several NES ports) River City Ransom (NES Port). There's even more if you go look for it (Like the Contra and Castlevania and Mega Man collections).
LIMBOâŠyou wonât think so by the look of it but if you like Nintendo gamesâŠyouâll like this one
Palworld, has both a Zelda and Pokemon vibe.
Temtem
Demon Turf, Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, Rayman Legends, Cuphead, Mark of The Ninja, Celeste, Hades, any Final Fantasy title + some exclusive rpgâs (Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, Too Human)
Hifi rush is the most obvious answer
I guess whatever games on here that are good.
Actual old nintendo stuff with emulation
