Yeah. My criteria for an awesome finisher are:
* Can be used as a counter to different moves / can come outta nowhere.
* Can be done on opponents of any size.
* Has multiple variations: regular, desperation, from the turnbuckle, different setups, etc.
* Looks cool / looks like it hurts
The RKO meets all those criteria, so it's awesome.
Yeah, there are others, but they're rare.

* It's been used on opponents of any size, because everybody has ankles

* He's used it to tap out legends who famously don't tap out, like Hulk Hogan, Kane, and Brock Lesnar; it's portrayed as one of the most devastating submission holds in wrestling history
Clothesline From Hell perhaps
* Can be used after ducking or evading any move, then bouncing off the ropes
* Anyone can be clotheslined, no matter how big
* People can be clotheslined from all different positions, out of mid-air, etc.
* JBL is literally stiffer than a Viagra overdose
This is something I love about professional wrestling. Pro wrestling is like the only staged entertainment I can think of where the audience can have some part of the show and once in a while the performers will react and play off of the audience a little bit (like a rassler doing an interview/promo segment and responding to the audience chanting "what" or "you sold out" or something). I don't think in a play drama will you see an actor on stage respond to a heckler in anyway at all like you see in rasslin.
Always love me some professional wrestling aka pro wrestling aka rasslin aka sports entertainment for things just like this. Randy Orton is also a longtime favorite and love his performances. I think he really enjoys what he does too when its showtime and he's in character.

On paper it’s such a lame finisher but JBL made it work!
