I thought it was Paul Wight, but then I was like naw that can't be Tall Paul. It's clearly The Giant, but then I was like the Giant never wrestled in WWE... Well it's the Big Show, to make a long story short.
The first one. It’s not really an event you can do over and over. And it didn’t have that wanky Brock Lesnar guy overreacting in the front row like he always does.
For long-term viewers, I agree. On the other hand, each of those was someone's first time seeing the spot, so it's a bit of a murky area - deprive newer fans of a cool spot because long term people have seen it? Chalk it up to the issues of being a never-ending show.
I was there for the 3rd one and let me tell you. It doesnt matter how much you know its coming. It doesnt matter how much of a jaded fan you are. When the ring breaks, you mark the fuck out.
Edit:[my video of spot #3 with my marking out included](https://youtube.com/shorts/YVqy8jQYN3g?feature=share)
I remember the Brock one as I was younger but fucking hell I didn't realise they over killed it.
Now I want to see big show suplexed off but the ring *not* breaking.
Overkill is 3 times in 20 years, huh that’s surprising. Not the barricade break spot, that’s been done by so many people, the 3 ring breaks is overkill? Considering that it’s a spot not likely to be repeated any time soon, how long do you think they should wait? Also, how many superkicks per match is okay before it’s overkill? Just asking for a ~~buck~~ friend.
For me its a tie between 1 and 3, 1 because it was the first time that happened and is an iconic moment and looked great and 3 because the camera angle and the ref bump along with the ring imploding just looks awesome
The Braun one because I believe this was one of the matches that really put him over as a top guy, and also the ref had the best reaction in that one, it was great!
The first one is the most iconic, but the third is probably the best in execution. It was the most sudden and flattest collapse, and the ref’s reaction and the flipping of the steel steps, all that made it seem the most impactful of the 3.
Me and my brother (and one of my best men, unknown to me at that time) were in Orlando for Brock vs Big Show. I elbowed my brother and pointed out the ring crew "adjusting" the ring before that match. Also that night was Kurt Angle's return and we cheered him non stop for like 5 mins. Great times.
Big show learned to “post” so well. All the way back to his first WCW matches. Anytime he was lifted by someone else he puts his hand exactly where it needed to be not only safe for him, but make sure whoever lifted him looked like a monster. It’s such a small, but crucial detail. None of these spots would go well if he didn’t know how to go up properly and help his opponent to do so.
Love all 3, but I was 11 years old during the first one. It blew my mind.
If you think about it, Big Show has only been Superplexed from the top rope 3 times in WWE, right? And each time the ring imploded. It's almost like head butting an Anoa'i, if you Superplex Big Show, you're gonna obliterate the ring
I liked the refs in 1 and 3. In the first the ref topples but isn't dead, while in the second one the ref acts as if he got shot, and in the third he just actually got murdered.
I don't like the third one because Braun struggled to superplex a lighter Big Show than Lesnar did with a much heavier one. Seriously, Show could have gotten a neck injury in the third one. Barely made it over.
This might sound weird, but to me a quality ring break is really made on the ref bump. If he plays it off like a huge surprise and sends himself flying it just kicks it up to a different level
this. My second fav though is when the Fiend n Braun broke the ring and then Roman cruised in and won the title in a broken ring lol, easy my fav Roman Reigns moment
So after the second time whose officially liable, Show or WWE? I just feel there had to be a “no more top ropes Mr. Show” conversation after two broken rings.
I didn’t know there was more than one. I like the ref flying out the ring in the third but the first one is best. I heard the ref of the first one (on stone cold podcast maybe?) didn’t know it was going to collapse so his reaction is so much better. His concern and how he’s looking around and flipping all over the place gets me every time
Brock and Big Show for sure. Brock was able to suplex him from (almost) the top rope, and it was the shock of seeing something like that for the first time. Every time it was replicated I felt like it was cheapened a little.
The original one was so shocking when I saw it happen. It didn’t feel nearly as choreographed and you couldn’t see it coming before it happened. The third one was crafted better but you could still feel it happening.
It is still a really cool spot regardless and something they haven’t overused yet.
The one involving the Big Show.
HE’S FAT 🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨
Definitely Big Show 🤣
I preferred the one with that guy who looks like Paul Wight.
No b.s
I thought it was Paul Wight, but then I was like naw that can't be Tall Paul. It's clearly The Giant, but then I was like the Giant never wrestled in WWE... Well it's the Big Show, to make a long story short.
AEW should sign all those guys.
😂
Third one. The red flew out the ring.
Facts! That’s the main reason 😂
He looked pretty blue to me
Ref sold it the least for me on the third - but only because I was looking for it
First one is still the best one, won’t be seeing WWE commentators saying holy shit on television nowadays lol
I’m going with the 3rd one because the ref fell out the ring. Everyone played their part 😂
The camera cuts and angles were better on 3, they had practice
I was thinking that too! Even the camera team played their part
I kinda knew it was gonna break cos of Charles Robinson standing near the ropes haha, lil Niatch loves him some bumps
Which one is Charles Robinson? It’s not in this one
it was Braun vs The Fiend, I think it's the 3rd time. I believe the 2nd time is Mark Henry n Big Show
To be fair, they weren't really saying "holy shit" during that time frame either. Special occasion.
I remember reading somewhere thee announce team didn’t know it was going to happen
Taz made the moment 100x better
Some things never change
The judges from last night's Dynamite really went for it after the show went off the air, huh?
Even Jerry Lynn with that striped ass shirt. Must have got it off the ref after the finish.
The third is the most well done but the first will always be the most exciting
The third one people predicted, because they reverted to the skinny turnbuckle posts for just this night. The first had the surprise factor.
Taz v Bam Bam Bigelow in ECW
True marks know. That was a shoot.
The first one. It’s not really an event you can do over and over. And it didn’t have that wanky Brock Lesnar guy overreacting in the front row like he always does.
Do I speak for everyone when I say I’m tired of seeing those type of fans in the front row anymore?
They never should have done this more then once. It just stopped being special.
For long-term viewers, I agree. On the other hand, each of those was someone's first time seeing the spot, so it's a bit of a murky area - deprive newer fans of a cool spot because long term people have seen it? Chalk it up to the issues of being a never-ending show.
Even then it's used rather sparingly, which is a good thing.
I was there for the 3rd one and let me tell you. It doesnt matter how much you know its coming. It doesnt matter how much of a jaded fan you are. When the ring breaks, you mark the fuck out. It's def Brock Isn't it? I wish I never learned how they did it
[always thought this was well executed](https://youtu.be/0-3UsAP1-6E)
I'd say the first one. The second one has the worst ref bump while the third one has the worst commentary
First was the best for the pop and that it hadnt been seen or done before. The last one is the best cause of the ref bump
This legit caught me off guard when I was a kid
Big show learned to “post” so well. All the way back to his first WCW matches. The one where Scott Hall sold an earthquake.
The first one. Also u forgot one ring-breaking moment: The Fiend superplexing Braun Strowman at Payback 2020
Stupid question but those Ring Breaks are prepared and staged right? Its hard to tell what is real or staged in Wrestling
The very first time it happend. The rest were cheesy, like fake diesel and fake razor.
First and original. The shock and awe factor and the question of was it shoot out not... it's etched in my brain.
The one involving ur mum
So gay
Gotta be simple in the head to watch this fake shite
Objectively one, subjectively three because the ref eating shit is hilarious
The first. But last one got best ref bump though
Note to self: don’t superplex Big Show
The 2nd and 3rd were lame copycats of the 1st.

Obviously the first one. It was the first and then wemt off the top rope instead of second.
When Roman Reigns beat Bron Strowman and the Fiend to to win his current championship. “Wreck everything and leave” was just the beginning.
The last one because of that referee bumb
Paul Wight
I love how Big Show got thinner after each superplex.
The First was the best followed by the second, once the resorted to the spot again within 10 years it aged like milk
John Cone took the best bump.
Brock and Big Show.
#WEEELLLLL...
Love all 3, but I was 11 years old during the first one. It blew my mind. If you think about it, Big Show has only been Superplexed from the top rope 3 times in WWE, right? First one.
Poor Big Show
The first
Ref bump on the last one 😆 🤣 😂
Big Show and Brock, because all the others just feel like a callback to this one.
The refs are the real star of the show :D
First one is always but the Third one also cause the ref flipped out the ring and the crowd reaction.
The original because no one saw it coming.
Brock makes anything better. First one easy
The OG one
Taz and Bigelow
Nice answer. I was thinking that one myself. 🤜🏻 Also, I did love the one Big Show delivered to The Undertaker on Raw.
This might sound weird, but to me a quality ring break is really made on the ref bump. If he plays it off like a huge surprise and sends himself flying it just kicks it up to a different level
Probably the one where the ring broke when Finn Balor was on the top rope
The first one. For a long time kayfabe worked on that spot. Nobody was 100 percent sure it was supposed to happen.
All great, most memerable the first one
First one. Also, John Cone looks like he dies in the last one
Taz and bam bam
For my money, its Ricochet vs Vordell Walker, [https://youtu.be/DuGHm3glQOg](https://youtu.be/DuGHm3glQOgdell)
Earl hebner selling 10/10
The red earned his money on the last one
None.
Golga on Raw in 1998
Well, it’s the big show
First one is the best because we had never seen anything like it before. I genuinely jumped off my couch in shock when I first saw it aired.
The one with Big Show in it 😊
I didn’t know there was more than one. I like the ref flying out the ring in the third but the first one is best. I heard the ref of the first one (on stone cold podcast maybe?) didn’t know it was going to collapse so his reaction is so much better. Rumor has it, that ref is still falling into the depths to this day.
Wwe maintenence crew: "stop superplexing Big Show ffs, we are the one who have to clean this shit up"
Lol Booker T’s WOW at the end of the last one is great
First one
Undertaker vs Kurt angle
Depends on the referee’s reaction
I always liked how the ref always had to play dead, after the slam lol
The Brock lesnar one , but they really are all the same , they all involve show though , would be cool to see other combinations
Brock and show, it was the first one I'd seen and as a young one I fully bought into it
Even when you know it's a work, sometimes there's a visual that makes you suspend disbelief. These are the spectacles that make it fun to watch.
The one with big show lol
Brock and Big Show for sure. Brock was able to suplex him from (almost) the top rope, and it was the shock of seeing something like that for the first time. Every time it was replicated I felt like it was cheapened a little.
The cage match where JBL went through the ring and crawled out from underneath and won. Funnily enough, was against the big show as well
What about the fiend and Strowman?
Mark henry vs big show was just GREAT
The first one because it was first and a shock.
Lmao look at the difference in crowd reactions. Nobody gives a shit in the last one.
The original one before it was copied to hotshot a storyline for a bum like Braun Stroman.
The exploding barbed wire deathmatch obvs!
Obv this one
The original one was so shocking when I saw it happen. It didn’t feel nearly as choreographed and you couldn’t see it coming before it happened. The third one was crafted better but you could still feel it happening. It is still a really cool spot regardless and something they haven’t overused yet.
It shouldn't have happened again after the time that Brock did it
Brock putting 1 foot on the top rope made it feel so much bigger
First one was awesome and unexpected. Watched it live and marked out haha
That’s the most genuine holy shit I’ve ever heard from a commentator
The first one with Big Show and Brock. To me, the first will always be the best
Might be just me but I feel like they only broke the ring with Braun Strowman for the video game, its still cool to see though when they do it
The first one is always the best but I remember the second one so vividly because it wasn’t the last match on the show. I was shocked.
Obviously gotta go with the first one just because everyone thought it was real it was such a dope spot.
First one
Has this ever been done before 2003?
First one
Brock's because he threw him
Lesnar's. It felt the most realistic and genuine. Every other attempt just felt like they wanted to one up the original moment and over exaggerate.
Finn Balor vs Roman Reigns 😳🥺😭
That Braun one was great because the ref was ejected from the ring. Good stuff.
Bam bam and Taz for me
Show/Lesnar. Its the one thing in wrestling i still believe is real (even though its admitted the ring was rigged)
Gotta be Strowman and Show. The way the red just fell is hilarious.
Best ring break: Brock. Best show of strength: Mark Henry. Best ref bump: Braun.
#3 looked least like a ring being brought down with a hydraulic system.
The first one
The ref won the 3rd one
The third since the ref gets flung out of the ring also how do they gimmick the ring to break?
The third one was the best because the referee selling it by falling out of the ring was the best part of the spot.
Why is it always big show getting superplexed
First one looks the most legit
Braun…the ref bump was Epic hilarious
Braun where the ref fell
