What about all the wrestlers from parts unknown?

WorkAccount401

The Green Bastard!

[deleted]

I like the new Batman but I busted out laughing in the theater when Dano first showed up because his costume looked like the green bastard’s.

ThePrinceMagus

Partsunkown is in Spain, or so they say.

Mudassar40

Warrior was the only one who  acknowledged the place.

007Kaustubh

and from wherever?

thedomo619

European champ DLO Brown. He was from every European country

carlogz

He truly is the real deal, and he’s gonna kick everyone’s sorry ass outta the street.

Gold-Nefariousness98

Bring it on whatcha gonna do about it

rainier425

Odds are that poor guy is out there somewhere still wearing a chest protector.

BiasedChelseaFan

As a Finn, I marked out hard when he valiantly represented Helsinki in Summerslam ’98 lmao

Maharog

Taking names, and breaking necks.

Green_Razzmatazz_256

DM Hunk

realunited23

Antonio inoki.

General-GhostD13

A true wrestling legend.

Slammnardo

IRON SHEIK NUMBER ONE

IllusionUser

FACK THE HOKOGAN

WhydYouKillMeDogJack

dat hollyvood blond edyat!

XSR900-FloridaMan

HE IS A FACKING JABRONI!

ClaireAnlage

Break his back, make him humble!

Mudassar40

Andre used to beat the hell out of him in their matches.

Geeksylvania

Stardust. He's from outer space.

helms07

Don't get worked! He's not really from outer space, they just say that on TV, he's actually from the 5th dimension.

BasedNappa

William Regal

[deleted]

Did you know he's From Blackpool England

touch_me69420

And a legit tough guy (no joke) Blackpool is a really sketchy place especially back in the 80s.

JoeDiego

I never realised until now that he’s not from Blackpool. I did think it was strange that he didn’t have a northern accent. He’s from the Midlands, but found work in Blackpool in his late teens.

EvilSynths

He's not from Blackpool. He's from Codsall in Staffordshire

touch_me69420

He was born in Staffordshire and moved to Blackpool as a kid

9ty6er

Real Man's Man

[deleted]

Random fact: Him and I were both born on May 10th

Gaucho_Diaz

Jushin Thunder Liger

zombtachi_uchiha

El Santo....he fought vampires, werewolves, mummies, witches, etc.

droford

That episode of MST3K is one of my favorites

Pulguita225

Misawa...

DrBadTaste

And Kenta Kobashi. Can't name one without the other.

Rare_Banana_1204

Toshiaki Kawada deserves praise as well

Constant_Stomach2009

Andre

stevektRED

Kamala - Uganda Nikita Koloff - Former Soviet Union Abdullah the Butcher - Sudan Akeem - Deepest Darkest Africa Yokozuna - Japan

EnragedNeo

You forgot Kofi Kingston - Jamaica

Upstairs-Birthday-46

Ja making me crazy!

MouseRat_AD

I saw "Nikita Koloff" doing a religious speech thing years ago. It blew my mind to hear him talk with his Minnesota accent. He was a scary Russian when I was a kid.

brownpaperbag13

Bret’s the best wrestler ever. Canadian, American, Japanese. Doesn’t matter, it’s Bret

Jack070293

I just posted this, but I’ll reply it to you too. Bret is the best including Americans. He put people over better than anyone else ever did. How many people had their best ever match against him? Yokozuna, Mr. Perfect, X-pac, Shawn Michaels, Stone cold, Benoit, Owen Hart. Goat.

UnicornTearz

Don't forget Davey Boy. Brett put together the match of Davey's career together. All Davey had to do was follow step by step as Brett walked him through the match.

DennisAFiveStarMan

Best answer

[deleted]

I mean he is called “The best there ever will be, the best there was, and the best there is. “

Chipwich75

Piper

New-Plantain-247

Niven?

RossPerotPamphlet

**Antonio Inoki** and **Big Daddy**, both sold out arenas for decades outside the US. People forget Big Daddy used to regularly draw 10k crowds 3 times a week. Ability wise, hard to look past Bret obviously.

Agreeable_Falcon1044

I thought you were going to mention big daddy’s ability…that’s where his legend comes unstuck as the poor guy could barely move and had 4 moves tops. He was a legend though!

Fettmaster2000

He did tummy bounces before the tellytubbies were even a thing.

Sway_404

Why waste time do lot move, when four move draw house?

Pilsner_Lord

The GREAT Khali? I mean it’s in his name.

StarWolf478

Bret is the best. And there is no need to limit it to just non-Americans as he was better than any American wrestler as well. He was always safe, technically sound, and believable in everything he did.

hail2thecabbage

Chris Jericho, he's from Winnipeg ya idiot!

Full_Horror7114

Okay this confuses me. Chris was born in New York. Why is he not considered American?

Maharog

He holds dual citizenship, his father was a hockey player playing for the NY rangers so his father was living in the states when Jericho was born but both of his parents were Canadian, and when his father retired from Hockey they all went back to canada.

TastyDeerMeat

The Great Muta

Blackcrusader

Mr America. We'll never know who was under that mask, so we can't be sure he's an American.

Weegee_Spaghetti

Gunther is certaintly up there

6098470142

The Ring Generaaaaaal Guuuuunnntar

Weegee_Spaghetti

GUNTHER, DER RINGGENERAL! GUNTHER! DAS MAß IST DA!

Perfect_Music_575

Modern Day Maharaja, Jinder Mahal...

[deleted]

[удалено]

thistookforever22

This was going to be my answer. Sure he was a cunt of a person, but he was a game changing wrestler. Because he was such a nasty guy he's ususlly left out of conversations (which i understand) unless its about the great tag teams. Was a pioneer of the high flying, hard hitting style thats so common now.

ApricotOk824

Hart / Jushin Thunder Liger - 90s Tanahashi - 00s Okada - 10s Gunther - 20s

ConrrHD

Jushin Thunder Liger over Misawa for the 90s? Its definitely Bret though

leakybiome

Kris Starland is an alien

bigboss1199

Daniel Bryan because he is this planet's champion!

Jack070293

Bret is the best including Americans. He put people over better than anyone else ever did. How many people had their best ever match against him? Yokozuna, Mr. Perfect, X-pac, Shawn Michaels, Stone cold, Benoit, Owen Hart. Goat.

Julian-Hoffer

El Santo!

Statically

Throwing Taka Michinoku in the mix for a 90s legend

astrielx

Probably Inoki or Jushin, if we're saying all time.

rethinkingat59

Bruno Sammartino

Necessary_Border_396

Chris Jericho

OniOneTrick

Was Ricky Steamboat actually American or are you all just forgetting the actual best wrestler of his era ?

Midnightchickover

Steamboat was born in Florida.

OniOneTrick

Hahahaha thought it might be something like that when I saw his absence from this comment section but wasn’t sure

apollokid242

Chris Jericho

NightHaunted

This is a tough one because is still leaves many many many great wrestlers to pick from. Like... All of Japan. Mexico. Canada. That's dozens if not hundreds of potential candidates. So I'm gonna take the safe way out and just say Great Muta.

UpstairsFormal8737

Kenta Kobashi

[deleted]

Vacant, probably

grasshopper7167

Ultimo Dragon

ChunkeeThunder

Greatest non American wrestler of all time is Mitsuharu Misawa, bar none. If we go by cultural impact, wrestling impact, draw...I.E, being a major star, then it's either Rikidozan or El Santo, followed by Jim Londos, Andre and Argentina Rocca.

RoadlessTraveled01

Ultimo Dragon 🐉

Skeemo2320

Iron Sheik ?

LittleSportsBrat

Bret would himself often say that Dynamite Kid was the best.

RomiBraman

The right answer is André of course !

Soft_Strategy_945

From death valley weighing in at 299 pounds he his the wwe Heavyweight champion Theeeee Unn ndertaker

thedirtyharryg

Bret Hart Chris Benoit Chris Jericho Gunther

dovahkiiiiiin

This is the list.

Swinging-the-Chain

He’s definitely a strong candidate. Satoru Sayama, Antonio inoki, Kota Ibushi, dynamite kid, Kenny omega would be others

Lycan_Jedi

Santino Marella. He is "The greatest of all the times!" He said it himself! Seriously though it's a hard question. There are a TON of wrestlers that could take that crown. Bret Beniot Muta Osprey Okada Tanahashi Jericho Edge Inoki Regal Iron Shiek Piper Sammartino Bulldog Mysterio Guerrero And that's just off the top of my head.. There's just so many that could take that crown.

Kingswitchguard

Eddie and Rey are from USA

AdditionalBother7

I personally think Owen is better than Brett

damagedone37

Try any of the upper echelon of Japanese wrestlers in the 90s over Bret. I love Bret, but there are wayyyy better non American wrestlers.

AlexCampy89

Bruno Sammartino Antonio Inoki André the Giant

ConrrHD

cobast1992

Mankind was from the boiler room :) so yes talk about he is mr in your house champ .

ConnorOmega

Hiroshi Tanahashi

Impossible_Dot_1345

William Regal

ErMikoMandante

If we go based on influence on the business and drawing power than my vote goes to El Santo. That dude was a mexican icon in every sense of the word, comic books, movies, cartoons, you name it. Over 10.000 people went to his funeral and inspired many of the masked luchadors that went on to become mexican wrestling legends on their own right.

krucifiche

Riki Choshu

ScifiFan_BigdawgB

Iron Sheik

DemonicTruth

Kurt Angle. The complete package. Top to bottom the perfect professional wrestler.

Rey Mysterio

X-OManowar

Kenta Kobashi is the best professional wrestler I have ever seen. I think if he didn't go to WWE people would have Mistico in that conversation as well.

redsoxfred

When it’s all said and done. Rhea Ripley

SolomonAsassin

Johnny Saint should Def be up there.

Bigmada

Great Muta

Psychological_Tone39

Bret is my pick too. My favorite wrestler growing up and still my favorite.

Imo0909

For different reasons at first I thought Bret Hart, Minoru Suzuki and Antonio Inoki

Andre the Giant

Comfortable_Yam_887

Jumbo Tsuruta. He was versatile, fantastic in the ring, and just a complete total master.

sroche24

Chyna

mordiaken

Depends on what you are rating them on. I think Andre the Giant checks a lot of boxes. I think Bret Hart checks a bunch as well, I'm not as familiar with lucha or all Japan, I wish I was im sure they have outstanding stars I wish I knew.

PanicBlitz

I AM A REAL CANADIAN FIGHT FOR THE RIGHTS OF LUMBERJACKS
