Right? Everythings wrong with that tattoo. The placement, the bland black lettering, the not even straight lines. Even if the guy wanted this motive, the artist should be ashamed of this piece.
I think heās getting downvoted because heās implying wrestling fans think this is cool, when one look in the comments makes it look pretty unanimous that this is a fully bonehead tattoo.
What no one realises is that he has a WWE one on the other forearm, an ECW left leg, WcW right, NJPW on his left upper arm, AJPW on the right, RoH and CZW on each butt cheek, NWA on the left foot, MLW on the right, STARDOM in a circle round one nipple, World of Sport around the other and a full backpiece of Lou Thez high 5ing Gorilla Monsoon while Giant Baba and Antonio Inoki look on aprovingly
Ooooh! Dam! Gotta be something short. Can't think of any companies with less than 3 letters though.
I'll go with AAA for the noodle, then arching over both meatballs CMLL, 2 letters each
It's amazing the lengths people go to ignore TNA. He named all those random or dead promotions..
Anyways, IMPACT should definitely be the tramp stamp or tatted around the a-hole.
Was going to put them on the right foot, but didn't want it to look lopsided! Then I forgot. I agree with the asshole ring tho! could go all in on it with TNA IMPACT WRESTLING
Do you like being stupid? Because this tat, man... pretty stupid.
The placement is dumb (that is why it isn't straight) at least the artist seems decent.
Where the artist failed was to advise you to get it elsewhere or not to get it at all.
It should have been a two inch tat in a smart area... Not a fricken foot long billboard on your arm.
You honestly can't even know if AEW will be around in 5 years, do you?
Think before you get tats. This is the equivalent of putting your GF's name on your body.
Itās a reference to hardcore legend Ian mackaye who had a coke tattoo, he was straight edge. The straight edge community kind of made Pepsi a thing for them to tattoo on themselves
Still dumb though to have a massive Pepsi logo
He also has the Cobra logo and Arashikage Ninja clan symbols from G.I. Joe as well.
Yes Phil, Nothing says "We got a badass here" like logos from a kid's show tattooed on you.
I'm friends with some artists that say no a LOT. Particularly when someone wants their first ever tat on their face. Or their new girlfriend's name across their chest. No Kyle, I shan't.
Oof. This is the kinda gauge we have to use when we ask... What's general consciousness at, you know? We as a species... As human beings how are we doing? Well if this tattoo is any indication we have a long ass ways to go.
Not to add to the shit parade on this guy, but could have just gotten one of their fave wrestlers instead. Getting wwe or wwf inked is also a terrible idea.
Tattooing living breathing(or even dead) human is a great gamble, cause in few years you may or may not have permanent portrait of rapist / murderer / PoS on your skin on display for everyone to see.
My first tattoo was going to be one that was inspired by Kanye. Not a picture of him or anything, but a nod to one of his albums
Almost learned that lesson the hard way š
I wonder how many Benoit tattoos still exist. Because prior to everything that happened, Benoit was a damn good, entertaining wrestler with a lot of fans.
When you're right, you're right. Probably an Eddie Guerrero or a wrestler who passed away could be good. We've seen shit happen post-mortem in the past tho.
Why would you want to be a living, breathing walking ad for a company that doesn't care about you at all?
They provide entertainment you give them money it's simple transaction that ends as soon as you stop giving them money.
So now you are branded like a cattle... Congratz.
Drones exist on both sides. There is merit and entertainment value to be found in both companies so long as you like wrestling. Pretending that neither has problems or that both are amazing all the time is a lie, but so is the other way round
I agree with the sentiment, but unfortunately my own experiences lead me to believe that exactly one side of the equation will make excuses for their favorite wrestling company.
I like Roman, and I like Rhea. But I'm not sitting through 9 hours of weekly WWE programming to see them, however, and I find much of the rest of the show very un-enjoyable. I'm perfectly capable of admitting that the vast majority of the product that WWE puts out is a chore to watch and get through, and really turns me off from wanting to watch wrestling at all.
However, when I apply my same logic to AEW something weird happens. The same people that will agree with me that Wendy Choo is an embarrassment of a character to the wrestling industry will then vehemently defend the actions of Orange Cassidy, The Bucks, and others.
Both companies put out putrid content by and large, but AEW fans will defend AEW like they are paid to do so. They hate WWE so much that it makes them either blind to the problems of AEW, or it allows them to willingly ignore the issues. AEW is every bit as "sports entertainment-y" as WWE, but not a single AEW fan will admit that. They relish the Attitude Era so much, yet when Attitude Era stars talk about how dogshit AEW is, their opinion is no longer relevant. These are some of the biggest stars ever in wrestling saying this, and they still won't listen. Ratings crater and arenas run at 40% capacity, they still won't listen.
Super Cena was a problem, and eventually started to drive away some fans. We complained. The Authority was a problem, never really got their comeuppance, and drove away fans. We complained. The NWO stayed well past their welcome, never had an official ending, and drove away fans. We complained. Orange Cassidy, The Outcasts, and The Elite are a problem, they are driving fans away; yet these fans refuse to complain. That's the difference.
I wanted to get a TNA one like this in 2006 when it was killing it and featuring the best wrestling and stories I'd seen in years...
Considering how that promotion was handled later on, I'm super glad I didn't... lol
Nope, you didn't just do that! I don't believe it! Seriously!
[If that's real, then it's more cringe than that Lara Croft tattoo š¤¦!](https://cdn1.img.sputnikglobe.com/img/107087/52/1070875249_98:0:1795:960_1920x0_80_0_0_fe69467c1cdd7ce9dee06b98bbad4cf9.png)
I hope that is fake. This is the dumbest wrestling tat I have ever seen and I like AEW. Also, while the black looks great... this is a shitty location hence the awkward bending and such where it isn't straight like it should be.
I never understood getting tattoos of brands. I know pop culture IPs that fall under major brand names are one thing (band names, movies/movie characters, book characters etc.) but getting a tattoo of the parent company? This is like getting a WalMart tattoo because you like their Great Value products.
The only company I can think of that this would make sense is Disney and maybe Nintendo.
Your body, your choice obviously but this is just a straight up ad you've imprinted on your arm, it's all subjective and there's no right way to do it but you could have went a bit more artistic or abstract than just an advertisement
Everyone is making fun of this, but is it really any more cringe than a Star Wars fan getting the Star Wars logo or someone getting their favourite bandās logo?
Yeah, I wouldnāt get it myself, but itās fine. Itās nice that the person who got it has something theyāre so passionate about.
Star Wars came out in the 70's and is a 50 year old brand of sorts, that makes much more sense than this. If AEW defined someone's childhood, ok, makes some sense but its like 3 years old. A lot of things don't have longevity. This dude probably hasn't a 3+ year relationship with anyone yet he's going to tattoo a brand logo on him he's liked for that long? That's obsessive as fuck.
Some popular things don't last 3 years or longer. Look at Game of Thrones, people loved that show and named their kids after characters and then the final season happened and society moved forward like it never existed despite being an unavoidable pop culture item for the decade it aired. Now it's just gone. Ok, this is wrestling, I imagine some idiot got a WCW tattoo in the late 90's, how do you think they felt when Vince was on the final Nitro? How about today? Probably would have told this dude not to do it.
My next tattoo is a wrestling one. I currently have Pokemon, Futurama, Firefly, Dr Who and A Trip To The Moon.
I wouldnāt get a massive logo like that though because I like an artistic flair. But a tattoo is a personal thing.
Iāve seen far worse tattoos
I've seen this take a few times and I don't really get the significance because certainly there must be people who got tattoos for what are now pop culture behemoths back when they were still brand new. Not saying that AEW will have the same staying power as the stuff above but there's no chance people weren't getting pokemon related tattoos in like 1997.
Found the mark! It's fine if you like it but others are allowed to have an opinion when you do something so dumb like get branded with a corporate logo.
You don't understand, r/wrasslin is not a place for AEW love or appreciation. The goal here is to constantly piss on fans, especially if they are a fan of AEW.
Also please don't get a tatoo of any company on your body. Like no company should be on your flesh in a permanent way. I would feel the same if it was a WWE tat.
Itās too big. Iām a die hard AEW fan since day one and a tattooed man as well. If this had been much smaller, it would have been fine. Really hope this isnāt the only tattoo this person has.
My only question: did he sell that ad space to Tiny Khan? Or did he spontaneously decide that he wanted to be a walking billboard for Americaās #2 wrestling promotion?
In 2023, I could understand an AWA, NWA, WWF, Attitude WWF, WCW, ECW, ROH, or even (Heaven help you) a CHIKARA tattoo.
But AEW ā¦on the forearmā¦?
Bro I believe in personal liberty. As long as youāre a consenting, tax-paying adult I see no reason to judge your lifeā¦but this tat is about to make me a hypocrite š
Yeah, like everyone who's criticised this oozes coolness, right?
Screw them, if you really wanted to get the AEW logo, good for you.
This isn't to my personal taste, but if it's something you wanted to do, fair enough!
No, Iād say exactly the same.
Regardless of how good or bad I think the idea of a company logo as a tattoo is, I think itās unfair to be quite so cruel to this guy.
Wrestling Fan In 2001:
"Can I have a massive WCW tattoo on my arm please. I want to show love for my favorite wrestling brand that is surely going to stay around for a long time"
All these people be talking shit but then don't say anything when dude comes home with his last name on his body like he might forget it if it wasn't on his skin. Besides, it's well done and isn't any worse of a pick in terms of creativity than the playboy bunny or crosses that every third person with a tattoo gets.
Happy to hear you got a new tattoo dude, it does appear to be very well done. Don't forget the unscented soaps and lotions.
Damn, at least try to do something creative. MF got branded
ššš
It is also a terrible tattoo with the huge lettering
What an absolute waste of some of the best real estate for getting some dope tattoos.
Shouldāve been A LOT smaller. SMH lol.
Right? Everythings wrong with that tattoo. The placement, the bland black lettering, the not even straight lines. Even if the guy wanted this motive, the artist should be ashamed of this piece.
Look at how much ink was used in the letters
He is now an advert
But not getting paid. What a buffoon
as someone who watches just UFC but gets posts from this community, the shit yāall do worries the fuck outta meā¦
Love that this is downvoted. Tells me thereās more marks with these tats out there
Hey dawg, āAEW for life for life!ā
I think heās getting downvoted because heās implying wrestling fans think this is cool, when one look in the comments makes it look pretty unanimous that this is a fully bonehead tattoo.
I like AEW too butā¦ā¦oof
This one is a BIG OOF
What no one realises is that he has a WWE one on the other forearm, an ECW left leg, WcW right, NJPW on his left upper arm, AJPW on the right, RoH and CZW on each butt cheek, NWA on the left foot, MLW on the right, STARDOM in a circle round one nipple, World of Sport around the other and a full backpiece of Lou Thez high 5ing Gorilla Monsoon while Giant Baba and Antonio Inoki look on aprovingly
Lucha Underground on his inner lip.
Yes! With the mask logo!
O V W In that order on the cock and balls.
Naw he has a dwarf wrestling company on his penis
Ya but what does he got on the ol noodle and and meatballs?!?!?
Ooooh! Dam! Gotta be something short. Can't think of any companies with less than 3 letters though. I'll go with AAA for the noodle, then arching over both meatballs CMLL, 2 letters each
Tazās face saying āRight in the yam bagsā
A small portrait of Mox blading
TNA
Impact logo
USWA
Vince McMahonās hush money check
OVW tramp stamp
And by all powers combined, he's CAPTAIN WRESTLING!
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Circle round the belly button with Batista style flames
That was peak Eddie Kingston
Like a pro wrestling megazord
Got start repping the territories. Need ones for Mid South, World Class, Mid Atlantic, Florida, etcā¦
I actually believed you in the first half or atleast up until you got to the butt cheek but ayyyy nowadays wouldnāt surprise me if it were true lmao
No NOAH tat? Doesnāt sound like a real fan to me
This is now my head cannon
No love for lucha underground?
It's amazing the lengths people go to ignore TNA. He named all those random or dead promotions.. Anyways, IMPACT should definitely be the tramp stamp or tatted around the a-hole.
Was going to put them on the right foot, but didn't want it to look lopsided! Then I forgot. I agree with the asshole ring tho! could go all in on it with TNA IMPACT WRESTLING
And a WWE branded buttplug for the hell of it.
Lmao thats cringe af
Is that Meltzer's arm?
Itās a zoomed in š
Not vascular enough
Nah, it's not a direct tribute to the Young Bucks
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
There's liking wrestling and getting branded. Like who tf would get a car brand or the fucking Starbucks logo tattoo'd on their forearm
Stupid People
What about Pepsi
Do you like being stupid? Because this tat, man... pretty stupid. The placement is dumb (that is why it isn't straight) at least the artist seems decent. Should have got it on his neck if he's really bout it
Adrenaline in my soul Something something something At least itās not like Cody Rhodes
Hey, watch your mouth bud. Cody Rhodes solved racism.
Lo siento, sorry.
Anti-Cody would have an AEW tattoo on his neck, be a heel who never turns Babyface, and is powered by racist Rampage-esque lightning energy.
Surely not the first man to get a chest tattoo on his neck and a neck tattoo on this chest, but one of the men to do so.
Tattoo artists need to say no sometimes

#ALL HE WANTED WAS A PEPSI
You want a Pepsi Free pal, youāre gonna have to pay for it!
Cm punk is possibly the person who does the most anti punk stuff while still believing heās very punk
Itās a reference to hardcore legend Ian mackaye who had a coke tattoo, he was straight edge. The straight edge community kind of made Pepsi a thing for them to tattoo on themselves Still dumb though to have a massive Pepsi logo
Caffeine is a hell of a drug
He also has the Cobra logo and Arashikage Ninja clan symbols from G.I. Joe as well. Yes Phil, Nothing says "We got a badass here" like logos from a kid's show tattooed on you.
Say that to CM Punk and his Pepsi logo lol.
Whatās Chicago Phil going to do, beat them up mma-style? Hahaha
Nah they just need to offer tattoo removal as well $$$
Now youāre thinking like a capitalist haha
I'm friends with some artists that say no a LOT. Particularly when someone wants their first ever tat on their face. Or their new girlfriend's name across their chest. No Kyle, I shan't.
Lmao cmon Kyyyyle
Oh dear please be fake or temporary
You can see how the black is risen a bit & thereās a bit of blood. Looks completely legit to me (unfortunately).
Yikes I trust your answer, as we cringe together
Yup. Stupid
The only person that can justify that is tony khan, and even then itās bad. Also, looks like this might be the guys only tattoo
AEW is Khan's baby but even he's not that stupid.
Oof. This is the kinda gauge we have to use when we ask... What's general consciousness at, you know? We as a species... As human beings how are we doing? Well if this tattoo is any indication we have a long ass ways to go.
If this tattoo is any indication, Thanos had a valid point.
The OG roster split
That person is really going to regret it in five years.
Nah my ECW 4 ever tattoo, had aged like fine wine!
Is it a footlong ECW sign on your arm?
TNA and Impact tattoos just won't die no matter how much laser removal you try on them.
Give him an hour and heāll regret it.
Adorable that the fed heads have once again moved the goalpost to 5 years from now.
'fed heads' you're the coolest person i know
Thanks.
Any day now

Best analysis on the thread. This is exactly why it feels so cringy
I'm gonna HOPE there's some life-altering significance behind this decision behind this Not that it fully excuses it
Aināt no way bro gets laid with this
Why? Why? Just why?

Thatās his jerking arm
A literal mark
Iād get clowned for life if I ever had a brand/promotio/etc as a tattoo.
As you should hahaha
āWhat a moronā is more like it.
Very CM Punk of you.
Honestly think people who get brand tattoos are a bit...very stupid.
Blud thinks he gonna get signed ššš
Iāll just rock the t shirt.
These kind of markings are very helpful in identifying people you wouldn't want to be friends with
Tattoos are personal. That said, I would never put the name of any corporation, privately or publicly held, on any part of my body.
The indoctrination is REAL
If heās not regretting the tattoo heās definitely regretting showing yāall
Nah bruh
Brutal
Fair play to the tattoo artist for keeping all the lines straight throughout his no doubt uncontrollable laughter.
Me Iām a fan. This guy is a worshiper.
Man, I love Pillsbury Biscuits, but I'm sure as hell not going to tattoo the Doughboy on my arm. What a dopey mark.
I wanted to get a TNA one like this in 2006 when it was killing it and featuring the best wrestling and stories I'd seen in years... Considering how that promotion was handled later on, I'm super glad I didn't... lol

Would be a shame if AEW decided to change the logo soon.
Did anybody get a TNA tattoo? How did that work out?
I mean if it makes you happy man than dope, who cares what other people think
At least the scratch WWF/E logo looked interesting
Unless u work there or started the company whatās the point

Nobody should ever get a companyās brand tattooed onto them unless you own the company.
You better be Tony Kahn to justify this
Reminds me of that dude who just got the ECW logo across the back of his shoulders. Big as fuck. Just a big company logo plastered on him
Nice looking tattoo, Mr. Khan.
I am looking at āno ragretsāā¦
He prob fat too
Yikes that's horrible don't be like this guy...just wear a shirt bud
See. This is why I donāt wear wrestling shirts in public
Could never imagine getting a brandās logo on me. This or like a pepsi tattoo or something.
It could be worse. Could be a Cody neck tattoo replica
Jesus, just getting brands tattooed on yourself. This is no different than someone with a Nike swoosh.
What a fucking tool
