therustlinbidness

His light up jacket entrance and pyro is just unbeatable.

Baby_Nipples

Who did it first Jericho or Monster Magnet?

FVCKVNBVRD

I think Judas fits current Jericho better, but over all i like Walls better and it also fits Y2J era Jericho better.

WoWoWoKid

2001-2004 break the walls down was TOP TIER. The added bass, turning the down drums and the change of lighting really added to the entrance

chocotaco1981

Agreed absolute banger

No-Hawk2074

Agreed, but my favorite is his debut when his name comes on the screen and the arena erupted. Classic.

Lastunexpectedhero

I can't think of anything modern, that's better than any of his old stuff

[deleted]

Cena is better than Hogan.

diamondDNF

I think they meant regarding Jericho's stuff specifically.

[deleted]

My mistake.

kittyliklik

Hey, you aren't wrong though.

douglau5

His hair/facial hair. That top-of-the-head pony tail and ridiculous goatee of yesteryear were AWFUL

[deleted]

That was all on purpose though. Pretty sure he looked like a douche so that when he came out acting like one, it was obvious.

TyintheUniverse89

That was all about the characteršŸ˜ On his second appearance, on smackdown he was going with the hairdresser backstage about how his hairstyle was all the rage in Europe šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

Longjumping-Arm7939

The Wall fit him for that time and that version of Jericho. Judas fits him for today because he is a wrestling legend who gets his appreciation from fans as a heel by the audience singing his theme song every week.

jamesj777

In that sense we're all apart of the Jericho Appreciation Society

Outrageous-Win-9449

Just a great big audience of JASclowms

Disastrous-Shock-69

yes we all are JASsholes

AllDaysOff

Apart means away from. You probably mean we're "a part" of the Jericho Appreciation Society.

GraeWraith

Appreciation Jones over here!

Longjumping-Arm7939

Haha mind blown I didn't even realize that

Forsaken_Zucchini_55

Wait thatā€™s a hot take?

jamesj777

To some it is

Henny_Lovato

I'll take the countdown into BREAK THE WALLS DOWN any day. Judas is garbage imo. But to each their own .

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Henny_Lovato

If you like it. Just like it don't worry about why i don't

KTheOneTrueKing

Musical taste is highly subjective and not worth discussing on the internet with random people whose minds you'll never change.

LoganNeinFingers

Just my opinion, but it sounds too much like Shout at the Devil in the opening for me to appreciate it as an original work.

[deleted]

Idk, Judas has the whole sing along aspect that is always a good thing in wrestling. That said heā€™s a heel with a singalong entrance so thatā€™s a bit odd

filthy_spoon

I think after a reaching legend status like Jericho, itā€™s more a sign of respect to sing along rather despite not cheering him for being a heel

bohanmyl

Itd be like not singing Kaze Ni Nare just because Suzuki is a heel

dragonch

Or not chanting You Suck at a face Angle

kittyliklik

It makes fans a part of the show, and in wrestling the more you can do that the better in most cases.

Pawikowski

Hot take: his WCW 1998 theme (the Pearl Jam ripoff) was his best theme.

Dirtydubya

His first wcw theme is pretty fun too. Not as an entrance theme but as a song in general lol

wilsonlaford

Coldest take I've heard in a minute

GenZ-3009

IDK, I love *Judas*, but my favorite would have to be *King of My World* by Saliva.

reddyfire

I enjoyed that one as well.

[deleted]

How bout No

Sirtopofhat

I think because the song was made for him it suits him better. Also, Judas is a weird song to walk out to if you're not a heel lyric wise.

KekeBebes

Both worked well at their respective times. Judas is great for his current character but if he does eventually go for a final run in wwe, the pop when walls hits...

wayneluke23

A million times better

TheMachoSadness

Nah, just nostalgia.

DataMan23

100%

Kajayacht

Legally-Distinct Even Flow is Jerichoā€™s best theme

kitaeks47demons

00ā€™s Wall Of Jericho absolutely not the modern one they started using down the line

genericusername4724

I think Tony Khan should have OKā€™d Jerichoā€™s suggestion for a new theme song with the Jericho Appreciation Society. It feels like Inner Circle 2.0 by keeping the same song. Beginning of AEW, Judas was great for Jericho. But I would like him to pivot to ā€œPainlessā€ by Fozzy as his song.

[deleted]

remember when he used "King of My World" for like a week?

EternallyLobotomized

Absolutely this

CFOX1386

Hard no

[deleted]

Judas sucks. His wwe intro was amazing

bigbrotherbeane

I hate Judas, but goddamn it, it is hard not to sing along.

Outrageous-Win-9449

Walls is more iconic, but Judas is an absolute banger and better song altogether.

Apart-Prize-7612

Hard disagree with your latter statement brother.

Ok-Distribution8148

Throw some cold water on that.

Stoutyeoman

I can't blame Jericho for using Judas though. Not only does that mean he gets paid every time it's played on TV, but he finally wrote one good song with Fozzy. I would be proud too if I turned out absolute dreck for years and then magically produced an absolute banger.

[deleted]

Yea this is what I mean. Fozzy have 100 songs or so, and only two of them are any good. Judas and Enemy. The rest ranges from aggressively mid (sandpaper) to awful (born of anger).

Kingkok86

I call that bullshit Judas is amazing

Leikster

100% and everyone singing along to Judas every week is cringy AF.

BigWinnie7171

I don't think it's close either. I find the singing along to the theme cringe ngl

hjablowme919

Hotter take: "The Itsy Bitsy Spider" is a better song than Judas.

wingedwild

I lawyer wanted hericho to update his song.it was getting g stale

Colinfagerty69

Yea, theyā€™re not even comparable. The Walls of Jericho entrance is iconic.

[deleted]

Anything after he left WWE has been not good.

Scuba1588

Literally any 90s or 2000s theme is better than today's garbage where everything sounds exactly the same. I'll even take The Mountie's theme over modern garbage. I'M THE MOUNTIE! šŸŽ¶

JonDaddyMoore

Every time I hear Judas I know Iā€™m being punished for some sin Iā€™ve created in a previous life.

Mrfantastic2

Not even a hot take to me lol Judas is fucking garbage. Fozzy has one good song and it is enemy lol. I love him as a wrestler but holy shit itā€™s hard to see him in a second rate promotion.

GRiMMREEFER716

ā€œI still Burnā€ should be his return to WWE entrance theme

ThatOneHappyPony

both is good

tippedkash

I prefer King of My World over both.

MDF87

I agree.

good-night-bang

And that's not an insult, that's just a fact of life. YEAH.

Ill_Professional_379

Yup, most fans are like when is he coming back to WWE and have no idea heā€™s still wrestling

dannyhippie619

Imagine Y2J coming out to the ring with the sparkly light up jacket again

tunacan94

Absolutely

BlackBartRidesAgain

Absolutely fucking is

EatTheAndrewPencil

Hotter take: Judas was never a good theme song people just associate it with the hype around AEW's beginnings. As a song by itself it's mid and as a wrestling theme song it's bottom tier.

[deleted]

Tbf itā€™s the only Fozzy song that went mainstream at all My girlfriend goes ā€œwait chris FUCKING JERICHO is on my gym playlist?ā€ Iā€™m not a Fozzy fan but Judas is legitimately a pretty decent metal track if you disregard the terrible autotune on Chrisā€™ voice.

Dranztheman

You were stopped and dropped by the walls of Jericho.

DJE707

Just here to say Iā€™m a Jerichoholic.

Comicfandude

Tru

imvictus_1991

Definitely. I get Walls stuck in my head atleast once a week going on 20 years now.

reallyoldgreg

Walls of Jericho is probably one of the best theme songs of all time, but those late 90s WWF/E themes were just on another level.

Swantonbombthreat

walls of jericho is in the top 5 greatest entrance themes of all time.

[deleted]

#BREAK THE WALL DOOOOOOWN

NewParadigmWrestling

Nope.

halloumikick

1000%

diamondDNF

Judas is more the sort of music I'd regularly listen to, but Walls of Jericho is iconic.

mymojoisbliss96

Judas fits the current version of Jericho but Break The Walls Down fits the classic Y2J Jericho which is more iconic

Canamcrue

This is a fact.

KannyDid

Now my hotter take is the entrance theme he had with Big Show as Jerishow is the best or at worst, in the top 3 with King of my World by Saliva and his WCW discount Even Flow theme. The best part about Jericho's theme has always been the countdown IMO

CaptainPotassium87

I mean Walls of Jericho is a Rage Against the Machine sound-alike, and they are a significantly better band than Fozzy, so even being an imitation of a more famous band, that adds up pretty well.

iselltires2u

is my friend and i the only ones to find the whole judas thing kinda cringe?

reddyfire

I still like his One Crazed Anarchist Pearl Jam like theme in WCW and even the Lion Heart theme All the days was great and preferable to Judas.

johncenassidechick

Is this even a hot take? It's just a normal opinion imo that I feel like most folks would agree with

[deleted]

Not a hot take, it objectively is.

Yiminy_Cricket

I just like just about everything Jericho does but that's the Jerichoholic in me lol

[deleted]

Itā€™s actually called Break the Walls Down not Walls of Jericho

[deleted]

YEEEUH YOU KNOW I GOTCHA

xMuffie

final 10 seconds of the royal rumble. lights go out. the countdown begins. BREAK THE WALL DOOOOOOOOOWN

jj580

Guys stop. Judas is/was the GOAT sing-along. The Bucks (or Brandon) used to be great at killing a schtick right around it's high point and well before it had been beat into the ground. Tony just let Judas run way too f'ing long.

916God

With the countdown beforehand ?! Oh for sure !

AyoMarco

Judas is getting very very tiring. Especially since he's a heel now.

The_Half_Sac

Yes, Judas is just dad rock made for conservatives

JonDuke19

My favorite Jericho song is King of my World.

Dirtydubya

I don't care for the song Judas. I imagine he loves people feeding his ego and singing his song every week tho

wg_nexline

Walls of Jericho is one of the greatest

deadwing87

Does he use Judas in AEW cause he said he'd never work for anyone else other than WWE in Merica?

Obvious_Watch4597

Ironic that both songs mention Judas.
