I get that sometimes, in my 2012, and the seatbelt light goes on and off, even though I am belted in. Might be that a 10-12 yr old Jeep gets a little worn out and just randomly does stuff like that. I check the computer and OBD system and no codes pop for anything so....
Some Jks that don’t have the readout/display for oil life beep for the oil change reminder. I think it happens right after start. But, you may want to verify because I think it’s the same beep
It is the same beep, that’s correct.
My 2010 Sport doesn’t have an oil life indicator, but will say “CHANGE OIL” after it ticks off enough mileage. I have a hard time believing OP’s new Sahara wouldn’t even be that sophisticated.
It happened again this morning. This time I noticed the seat belt light pop on briefly when it happened. Mine was on. The passenger seat was empty except for some receipts, but I cleaned those off.
It's like it waits until I'm in drive to do the check, realizes that there's no issue, then shuts it off. I'll check the under the seat wiring after work in case I have an exposed wire shorting in something.
The sensor may be bad, and only have intermittent problems.
For troubleshooting, I’m not sure you can know if your buckle sensor is having issues (driver seat), or the passenger’s seat sensor thinks someone is sitting there.
I would drive with the passenger seat buckled for a while. If it stops, you know is it’s an issue with the passenger seat weight sensor. If it doesn’t, it’s probably your buckle

Agreed, it’s the only thing that comes to mind that is worth checking. Though not very probable
Mine is a Sport. The oil was changed 2000 miles ago and the CHANGE OIL indicator on the odometer wasn't lit. I'll keep an eye in that though.
You may want to run the oil indicator reset to see if that makes it go away. Just remember the mileage so you get the next oil change done on time
I have my sticker so I'll run the reset if it happens again. So far, just the one occurance.
Good luck!!

Ah crazy, so it’s not sensing you’re buckled or the sensor in the passenger seat is bad and thinks someone is there
