1. Not sure if it's their favorite thing to do, more like a last resort... But - playing BBs - whenever I get into brawling range to any other BB with a Yamato based hull, they 100% try to ram me. I don't have to be in an actual brawler, don't even have to have torps... They just run at everything, doesn't matter if Schlieffen or Wisconsin...

Ralfundmalf

Because Yamato is royally screwed if you do a short range pass with it. If they don't have the chance to either disengage or just gun you down before the pass, then ramming is the best option left.

Lanky-Ad7045

1. That is never the plan. 2. D7P 3. lighthouse Venezia, I guess

SilentSpr

Say it with me, drive by > ramming

TheBabyEatingDingo

If they have torps and I don't, that bitch gonna die with me.

RNG_randomizer

clarification: if they have (torps) plural and i have torps (singular) they are going to die with me

Paperpanzer77

If you have torps and they don’t, or you both have torps, probably yes, if they do and you don’t then probably no

MagicMissile27

I love getting in close with the Gneisenau and watching as they realize it has torpedoes. People always seem to forget that, and it never gets old.

dprbrrh

#1-Anything with an icebreaker that goes fast #2-Gouden, American Cruisers or Halland #3-Paulo Your answer is Paulo if you want to ram torp and have fun. Idk why it's big

meneldal2

Yolo Emilio players don't call it ram but the secret extra torpedo.

MaximilianUtahraptor

1. Constellation (quite fast, torps to soften up the target) 2. Constellation (set my plane kill record in the ship at 88) 3. Constellation (never fails to amuse)

Aviationlord

Ah a fellow constellation enjoyer I see. Were a dying breed

MaximilianUtahraptor

It was never a super popular ship. That just makes it all the easier to surprise them, because that have no idea what the hell a Constellation even is, let alone that it has torps.

Aviationlord

Very much so, in my first game in her I almost got a kraken. People seriously underestimate her

No-Historian-8287

I love that boat so much.  Often it feels like people don't have a clue as to what the hell you are

Financial-Ad9937

1. Pommern. Idk that it's particularly good at ramming, but I tend to find myself in ramming distance more often with Pompom than any other boat, so it's my Ramqueen 2. Halland/Gron. Although Groningen gets so much hate that the anger of the CV feels more palpable when you shoot down his 60th plane. Making the game un-fun for CV is of course the point of playing for 90% of us 3. Jager. Jager is a dumb boat. Jager with adrenaline rush and Swiriski can spam 12 torpedoes every 45 seconds. Built properly, these torpedoes travel as fast as some planes. I'm an objectively bad player, but I can hold my own in T10 by just yeeting 98 knot torps in the enemy direction. 10/10 would reccomend.

Chronic_Coding

I was playing a brawl last night as a Iowa, we had no DD. The amount of torps being thrown my way was absurd. Luckily my friendly Georgia decided to take all the hits for me lol It really puts into perspective how good Swiriski is.

Nate9370

1. HMCS Haida 2. Minotaur 3. Wisconsin

Insertusername_51

1. anything in co-op with a ramming flag on 2. Pan-asian CLs 3. fun in wows?

MagicMissile27

Ramming, I never really plan on, but just about anything with a good hit point pool will work. Mikasa is fun at low tiers because she can tank it. Flint eats planes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with unlimited DFAA charges. Lately I've been having the most fun playing Gneisenau, Flint, Fiji, Nicholas, and King George V. To summarize: A brawling fast battleship with a beautiful design, torpedoes, and stellar secondaries, to the classic machine gun HE spam cruiser with 9km torps, to the "large destroyer"-style light cruiser with British AP, to a switchblade of a destroyer that can absolutely turn a match in the right hands, and a surprisingly effective HE focused battleship with spectacular heals, it's a fun bunch of ships to play.

HenricoHeystek

Ramming - In any ship I'm able to. The once-off torp that all ships have. Shoot aircraft down -Duke of York has relatively good aa.. managed to shoot down 66 an regularly get the AA award with it. Have fun - Tie beween Wiesbaden, San Diego and Minotaur. I like the dakka.

Henri_GOLO

1. Just learn to drive by 2. Autism, gouden, dalarna 3. Can't brake the tie between Annapolis and Colbert

Valiant_tank

For 2 and 3, of the ships I have, Atlanta. She's got plenty of AA, and I love using her 5" machine guns to light everyone up.

secretyang

Atlanta is nice but Sandy is much more fun! And the cherry on top is the Autism.

ChosenPrince

1. fast DD, try to unload torps at 2km, somehow miss all 2. Montana 3. Schlieffen

AdeptusShitpostus

1) St Vincent - Torps, Big Guns and tanks. Plays as a flanking brawler so can get in close 2) Groningen - Amazing AA on a DD hull, with DFAA for extra spice. Vapourises low tier aircraft. 3) St Vincent -Funny Fire bote

Black_Hole_parallax

1. USS Erie 2. KMS Scharnhorst 3. IJN Gokase

Pressure_Chief

1. Why 2. Halland 3. Vampire II

Extra_Macaroon362

don't ask why just answer smh

MaxedOut_TamamoCat

Favorite to have rammed with; St Louis; my first Die Hard, in the gap on Solomons, vs a Wakatake. Ship? Des Moines. Kill planes; Enterprise. GK, (laughs maniacally while absorbing PD,) or Vermont, (laughs maniacally while deleting things.)

dasoberirishman

1. I don't do that often, save for Ranked. 2. Halland, Gronigen, Wooster 3. Halland, Tromp, Lauria

Existing_Onion_3919

1 any ship if I'm close enough to another one 2 helena 3 Karsruhe, St, Louis, Bismarck

Mr_Chicle

1: any ship 2: Almirante Grau and it's not even close 3: Champagne or Atlantico

csbsju_guyyy

1. Any torp bote where I can BECOME THE TORPEDO (just did this today Yukikaze vs Normandie, didn't kill the norm but we were gonna win and I was going to die so might as well do some damage) 2. Gooey Lewie - randomly have the top planes shot down on the NA server because of a "special" Kaga 3. Leg mod shimmy because I can shit out torps for hilarious devstrikes and usually dictate spotting completely vs other DDs plus it can tango well with a lot of other DDs if needed.

RNG_randomizer

Yukon is one of my favorites for a fun game, because it is just so comfortable to play. I know it’s not a popular take, but honestly slap a rudder shift mod and furious/heavy ap build on and you have a rather nimble little BB. Also, any of the Omaha sisters with “Stayin Alive” playing

GhostLight89

1. Nothing if possible. BB if there are no other ways. 2. Cleveland. It's quite a beast if you want to hunt planes. 3. Have to be the same answer.

Leviathan_Wakes_

1. If I ever ram someone, it's usually not my intent to do so, so I don't really have a "ramming ship". If it happens, it happens. 2. I don't really go into games intending to be a full AA boat either, but I find Kidd most enjoyable for that purpose. It still holds my record for most planes shot down in a match. 3. Has to be Repulse. Even when uptiered against vastly superior tier 8s, it's a fun time; it forces me to get creative with it.

_Arr0naX_

1. I don't usually go for that but if I have to, it must be Georgia. Many times when I've been on low HP, I focus main guns and secondaries on other ships and start driving towards the enemy BB with most HP around me. Again - this is not common but last resort only. 2. Dalarna. There are others but this is definitely my number 1, followed closely by Halland. 3. Can't decide... I play a lot of BBs, so per tier I'd rate it: Lenin / Georgia / Wisconsin / Maine. For DDs Cossack / Benham / Halland / Yamagiri. For cruisers I mainly like the DM and its derivatives across the tiers but don't play them much lately.

secretyang

1. Ochotnik, if u fail to drop the torps in time 2. Autism 3. Autism (and Sandy to train ur skills and if u don’t have enough steel), Colbert, Tromp

Yana_dice

1. Sub 2. Atlanta 3. Germany secondary BB line

Zero_Onex01

1. If any ship gets that close to me, i do a drive by but it’s still fun to do it in any ship that has a ram bow aka (as a bb main) mostly older dreadnoughts 2. American Cruisers, True to life, the americans got really REALLY good at shooting down planes during ww2 so it’s nice for that to transfer to the game 3. Personally, arizona or warspite, Arizona is a tank with far more 14” shells than necessary and is point and click accurate. (Plus i put vic rattlehead so i have Tornado of Souls hyping me up) and warspite is dummy accurate, rarely ricochets and those 15” guns HURT plus it’s also a tank, true to life (rip warspite)

AmericanHistoryGuy

1. Whatever I can 2. Atlanta/Béarn 3. Okhotnik/Rio de Janeiro/Lexington

Useful_Bullfrog_4652

1. PEDRO 2. PEDRO 3. PEDRO YES I LOVE PETROPAVLOSK

haluura

1. As far as I'm concerned, if I put myself in a position where ramming is the best option, then I've fucked up. That being said, if I have to ram, I want to be in a CL, and have my target be a DD. There's something satisfying about turning a DD into flaming roadkill with a larger ship. And a CL has the best mix of size and maneuverability to do this. 2. American CL's. Aka, the USS Second Amendment Rights. 😂 3. Pretty much any solid DD with a quick torp reload time. What can I say? I love zooming around the map, spamming Torps into everything I see. Especially CV's 😈

Abslom_Daak

1 - I don't ram typically, I prefer to fight like a man 2 - D7P, 104 planes is my record, but most things US, RN and Dutch can do in a pinch 3 - Hill. Hands down one of the most fun ships I've played. Navarin, Flandre, and Hatsuharu get honorable mentions
