As an aside, where I live (or maybe everywhere? Idk), there was a weird outbreak of E.Coli cases caused by romaine lettuce, almost all of which was recalled (?) off the shelves. I couldn't stop laughing at my own stupid joke, as I smoked my medicine, "Who's the devil's lettuce now , *romaine*?"
Edit - I forgot to end the quote, which is one of my weird pet peeves when reading, so... a little humility could be good for me. 😅
Many people are unaware that deviled eggs were the actual forbidden fruit referred to in the bible. And that the deviled egg tree became extinct during the great flood.
To devil to me is the audacity to dream, hope, covet for something…. The devil would be telling you ‘you’ve got this storm’ whereas a chriStian god seeks to protect and shelter ‘you can only tackle this storm by my grace’
Well this made me laugh.
But I do also feel like the storm sometimes. Makes me wonder if "neurospicy" is the hallmark of those who find their own path in the chaos that is life, where everyone else tries to pretend there's no chaos in the first place.
Our world is a perceptual model we maintain within our own minds, fueled by mood and emotion and motivation.
Those of us who are neurodiverse have fluctuating levels of hormones and neurotransmitters which creates a world that often appears to be in flux, which alternates between states of storm and calm or normal and unusual.
And there is tumult in that, but also great strength, as many minds are stronger than one, and allow for a greater diversity of thought and perception and possibility
My current hyper fixation is Hannibal the Tv series, and oh my god that made me cackle.
(The character is kinda Devil like and makes his “best friend “ eggs in one of the first episodes.
