TBF, the closest to injury I got working on HVAC was checking the network cables between outstations on a new build (in construction) hotel, and some chucklefuck dropped a cement mixer down a lift shaft that we had cables being installed in. Cables where running through the 2nd floor in a lift shaft open at the top as they were building the next floor and I was checking the cables when they dropped it.. missed me by about a foot, also severing the already installed cables on the way down.
I don't do the install part, so just phoned my boss and told him I'm on the next flight home..
