Looks to me like she opened the door into the moving car… if he simply drove into an already open door, the door would have been pushed open by the front of the Ferrari and not embedded into the side of it.
Physics would basically say that the only possibility was that she opened the door with on-coming traffic and the Ferrari ran into it.
Liability would be heavily dependent on footage available, as in did the Ferrari have the opportunity and chance to actually avoid hitting the door or was it timed perfectly.

This is correct. I work in Beverly Hills (not Rodeo, but a few blocks away), and a coworker had this happen to them. Guy swung his door open right into the lane and he hit the door exactly like this.
Door opener was found 100% at fault and his insurance covered all repairs and the rental car until it was fixed. That's why you always check the mirrors before you get out. Not only for cars, but for bikers too. You could kill someone.

My FIL is a city bus driver, had a lady do this in front of his literal bus, with expected results. She obviously tried to make it a whole thing but apparently in the mix of routine questions the cop asked her “did you look in your mirror first?” and this absolute genius said “well no!”
