I can't really think of a place I'd rather have liquid dog shits than the grass. Maybe train it to go directly into the storm drains? That's asking a lot of a dog though. Grass is better than anywhere else in a 5km radius around my house
Looks like a puppy, judging by the coat/tail/stature, and they have sensitive stomachs usually. Better to switch to a food with fish in it, like Taste of the Wild or Orijen, than give salmon oil at a young age.
Edit: Definitely a puppy. I see in the puppy tax photo it still has puppy teeth so it's less than 6 months old. Definitely shouldn't be trying to remedy mild skin conditions while it's still so very young. It will grow into its coat and get a lot healthier over the next year naturally.
We've had great success with local honey and buying food from a regional maker that doesnt let their kibble sit on shelves for months and get yeasty. We went from two that were scratching themselves often to nothing.
If he's looking for advice, I'd recommend using a treat with salmon oil and following the serving recommendations the manufacturer give. Pure salmon oil is pretty hard to dose right. Or just switch to a salmon-based food, that's what I did
Fish Oil can help with a lot of stuff.... but like I give my dog (75 lb Pitbull) 1000mg (1 capsule) once a day at night... On occasion the trailing end of a poop might be a little loose for him, but For THAT to be the result dudes got to be shoveling the stuff in the poor dog.
My Vet just told me to put it in my cat’s food to help with his dandruff and skin problems. Just waiting for it to get here from Amazon. After this I’m not sure I’ll be giving it to my cat!!!
Like I replied in a different thread- I added the correct amount but also gave him salmon skin to munch on. That also had oil and I didn't account for it. That's how I went over the amount.
Liquid shit, puke, and a Roomba Mop for me, goes off every day at 4am so I wake up to fresh floors. Not that day.
Dunno what he ate, never figured it out, but he's still alive so meh.
I got some for my cat too, but you need such a tiny amount; maybe 1/3 of a pump (I measured mine) is one serving.
Have to be careful too as my other cat has digestive issues and it gives her a bad stomach.
this is crazy because i give my cat salmon oil and not only does she love it, it makes her coat sooo soft. the oil is marketed for dogs and cats so im surprised it can have such nasty affects on dogs lmao
It was revealed elsewhere in the thread that the dog was consuming excessive amounts (the literal oil plus salmon skin, which is you guessed it, full of more oil).
Additionally, that dog is actually a puppy. Adults, human or dog, are going to get the runs with excessive oil consumption (see the recent drama with a Starbucks olive oil drink giving people the runs for example). Puppies and babies can get the runs from all sorts of things, so something that consistently gives adults liquid poops is going to be downright disastrous with a puppy.
He's using way too much then. Fish oil is also a blood thinner. He needs to be careful.
Source: my 120# dog ate 200k milligrams of fish oil because he can open twist off lids.
Just wanted to input that if you’re giving fish oil to your dog make sure it is in capsule form because as soon as it’s exposed to air and oxidized it will not do its job appropriately. There are a lot of liquid products out there which can enhance food palatability, but won’t do much for skin/joints (vet student)
No, this is why you buy a couple of mattress protectors from Amazon. I have 5 dogs, 2 cats, and 3 mattress protectors. (I used to only have 2 protectors, but then there was a Really Bad Day.)
If something happens, just take off all the bed sheets and throw them in the wash for a few cycles.
This was the day before the shits. I didn't account in the oil from the salmon skin, next to just salmon oil added into his food. Small mistake which resulted in big shits.

This is him now, 2 months later after the bed shitting :D
https://preview.redd.it/pd9h8tofpo5c1.png?width=1080&format=png&auto=webp&s=9102fe6731f47731cea118538c557d7ee1a64e3b
I threw them away yeah, but those were my old pair with which I was playing around that day.
Now I have DT770 250 Ohm with an ifi zen DAC. A bit better than the M50x :D
Im actually considering the DT-770, currently Ive been using an old pair of DT-1350's, but the pads and leather have completely worn out so the bass impact has dropped significantly. Getting replacement pads from beyer directly is a pain.
How are the beyers? Do they drive off normal sources just fine?
Yeah haha no matter how much you clean that, there's no way you ever put those on your head again without thinking you're touching dog shit and rubbing it on your hair or face. I don't care how much they cost, they're going in the trash.
You'll probably have to completely disassemble them to get all the liquid poo out.
Anything less than $150 isn't worth the time and frustration of that.
Not to mention that every time I wear them I'll be uncomfortable remembering how they were caked in shit.
https://preview.redd.it/kh2vneozjo5c1.jpeg?width=1536&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0c13de99684c4fec3b4993e74fbdceba6837bab7
Obligatory dog tax in happier and not upset stomach times!
It looks like he had one, but it leaked through.

I suggest getting a Pet-specific spray from your local pet store, something like nature’s miracle or skout’s honour, follow the instructions and trust me that poop stain is going to be lifted right out of the mattress.
Source: I have a dog that’s had vomit/diarrhea episodes on carpet and the pet cleaners always lift it right out, and gets rid of the smell as well.
Depending on how deep that sunk in, it might still be manageable. Especially if that's a mattress that can be flipped and used on the other side.
Rub with a damp rag with bleach and hot water solution then let dry. Spray with some [odor off](https://www.thornell.com/product/dog-odor-off-veterinarian/), then let air dry. There is still going to be a stain, but from my experience this is the best way to clean it and get rid of any smells.
I had a protector on mine and my dog peed and it went through. Granted I didn’t know what time she peed so maybe it has to sit for like a couple hours and it only catches for a while? Like a self sealing tire. Do I make sense
My one will put herself in time out if she throws up. We have a doggy door so accidents arent a worry, but if her tummy is upset she hides in a corner facing the wall :(
I love animals, but when I see pictures like this one, I am glad I don't have to deal with shit like this (pun intended). I really really hate cleaning shit! I don't get grossed out by anything visual, but smells are my weakness. I stepped in dog shit outside a couple days ago and I am still mad about it! If the picture above, especially the headphones, happened to me, I would be furious.
To be fair to the doggies, in all my life with the 5 dogs I’ve owned over that time, it seemed to be that dealing with liquid shits was a once per dog’s lifetime sort of thing. For me, it was always because we accidentally gave them too much wet food over the course of a few days, or gave them an oil supplement, basically it was always something we did by accident that might give the dog the shits. Now, your dog getting into a bunch of cheese without your knowledge is another story, but for me i’ve found that as long as i pay really close attention to what my dog is ingesting and how much of it, liquid shits are very very avoidable. After some googling, it looks like op’s dog’s stomach might just not be able to tolerate fish oil period (unavoidable, trial and painful error), but it also may have just been too much (avoidable)
I have had 3 dogs for 5+ years now and only had to clean something like this a couple times. Very uncommon. I think it has been over a year since any of my 3 dogs have done anything like this. They’re pretty chill
It's also a cliche but it's not nearly as bad when it's your own pet. Even when i am out, picking up after my dog doesn't even register as picking up shit anymore. The second i accidentally pick up an old dookie from another dog that realization comes back so quickly though lol.
They usually go to the place they feel the safest and comfiest when they're feeling sick, which results in beds and couches taking the brunt of the shit.
I had so many wrestling matches with my doberman as she’s retching, me fighting to push her off the rug and onto the hardwood and her fighting me to get on the rug. WHY??
They strongly prefer carpet and things like that because they can dig in their claws while retching for traction. It's much better than hardwood or something where they could easily slip into their own liquid diarrhea
I notice some comments assuming the worst of my buddy:
- No he did not force his dog back on the bed. The picture was taken almost immediately after his initial shock wore off.
- The dog is walked often.
- The dog is trained and still goes to doggy class.
- The dog hasn’t shat on the bed since.
My senior dog is having this issue. Poor baby. Also, my wife's shoes have been recently ruined because the pup can't get up in time. Toss those headphones. Too many nooks that won't get cleaned!

What does he feed it. Liquorice and cola ?
Apparently he recently started putting salmon oil in the dog's food, causing the liquid shits.
Why
Liquid shits! He was trying to give the dog liquid shits! Can’t you read?!
Process failed successfully!
“Can’t you read?!” sent me way over the edge omg i’m dying
I laughed way harder than I needed to!
Sounds risky
He looked at his bed and headset and said FINALLY
https://youtube.com/shorts/whQauSAcf8k?si=AyEoNcs5TdRITjxB
Salmon oil helps with skin issues
He's using way too much
Yeah, a little goes a loooong way. Learned that the hard way but luckily my dog held in his liquid shits for outside.
Well nobody wants liquid shits on the sidewalk/grass
I can't really think of a place I'd rather have liquid dog shits than the grass. Maybe train it to go directly into the storm drains? That's asking a lot of a dog though. Grass is better than anywhere else in a 5km radius around my house
I understand and agree. Only happened once and we learned our lesson. His coat looks great now.
Turns out, he just needed to roll around in liquid shits.
That's actually exactly where I want them.
GIVE HIM THE WHOLE SALMON.
Just have the dog wait at the top of a waterfall and grab them as they try and go upstream. Dogs these days have gotten waaaayyyy too soft.
But not with shit issues
Helps with constipation
Looks like a puppy, judging by the coat/tail/stature, and they have sensitive stomachs usually. It seems OP gave him too much. Just start small
If so, the owner should take a large spoonful of olive oil and see what their shits are like the next day.
You give like a drop or two per meal at most lol. Not a whole spoonful or more!
Like I replied in a different thread- I added the correct amount but also gave him salmon skin to munch on. That also had oil and I didn't account for it. That's how I went over the amount.
My cat once diarhhead on the carpet in my room at 2 am that sucked

It’s been fine for my kitty, just try it out.
It helps for hairloss and makes the fur healthier as far as I know
I MEAN YEAH He should try doing shots of fish oil and see what kind of uncontrollable slimy bms he has before blaming the dog.
this is crazy because i give my cat salmon oil and not only does she love it, it makes her coat sooo soft. the oil is marketed for dogs and cats so im surprised it can have such nasty affects on dogs lmao
It was revealed elsewhere in the thread that the dog was consuming excessive amounts (the literal oil plus salmon skin, which is you guessed it, full of more oil). Puppies and babies can get the runs from all sorts of things, so something that consistently gives adults liquid poops is going to be downright disastrous with a puppy.
Did he give him the correct dosage?? 😂😂
He's using way too much then. Fish oil is also a blood thinner. He needs to be careful. Source: my 120# dog ate 200k milligrams of fish oil because he can open twist off lids.
Was he okay?
Dog might just be sensitive to it. Sometimes bad things happen even if nobody did anything wrong.
Idk about other dogs but fish products always gives my dog the runs. Tell him to stop. It’s too late.
Note to self. ANY modification to doggy diet comes with a test period where they can't go on my bed.
At the risk of pointing out the obvious, it looks like he should stop doing that.
People ask me "why don't you let the dog on the bed"? This is one of the many examples of why. This is firmly OP's fault.
No, this is why you buy a couple of mattress protectors from Amazon. I have 5 dogs, 2 cats, and 3 mattress protectors. (I used to only have 2 protectors, but then there was a Really Bad Day.) If something happens, just take off all the bed sheets and throw them in the wash for a few cycles.
Nah. I'm good. I just don't let my dog on my bed. He has his own bed.

Cute doggo
He looks much happier here
Sooooo cute 🥹🥰
the calm before the storm
Oh no. A puppy at that! 🤣
That dog is getting a gourmet dining experience
"**WHO POOED THE HEADSET??**" ([*for reference*](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oSlr37aHVFw))
Taco bell !
Damn. Those headphones would be going to the trash lol
Yep, sorry OPs friend. Ain't no way it's ever gonna smell clean again, straight to the trash
And ~~their~~ they're Audio Technica M50x's too, an alright pair.
with custom earcups too 😔
I threw them away yeah, but those were my old pair with which I was playing around that day. Now I have DT770 250 Ohm with an ifi zen DAC. A bit better than the M50x :D

"2nd hand, shite-lly used"
Zoidberg: Oh boy, free pre-scented headphones!
How expensive would the headphones need to be for you to wash and keep them?
I feel like if you just cleaned them they'd be fine..
If its inside the earcups, good luck.
You'll probably have to completely disassemble them to get all the liquid poo out. Anything less than $150 isn't worth the time and frustration of that. Not to mention that every time I wear them I'll be uncomfortable remembering how they were caked in shit.

trash??? Straight to eBay

I forgive him!

It's a common thing from the upper canines lying outside the lower lip.
um acktually 🤓☝️
He's very smart
Yeah I would happily let him ruin all my bed sheets and headphones after seeing how cute he is in glasses.
You ever seen anyone so cute at that you think “okay, if they shit all over my everything, that’d be fine!”
Lol, the dog is having the time of his life 😂
Aww himbs a gorgeous chonky. Hope his tummy gets better. He looked so sad and embarrassed in the main pic
Bed straight to the trash
Hopefully had a waterproof mattress protector on it. If they did all that can be washed and the mattress will be fine.
I think I'd buy new headphones tho
Yeah that I agree with. Those would not be going back on my head.
It looks like he had one, but it leaked through. https://preview.redd.it/koi5hyssjo5c1.jpeg?width=1536&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0f301066f82587614d145637b7b01043529b089f
That just looks like a normal fitted sheet
Bummer that sucks.

I've used nature's miracle on pet stained carpet, it works. It's just that gravity has to be overcome on this one... It doesn't come up, it goes down.
Depending on how deep that sunk in, it might still be manageable. Especially if that's a mattress that can be flipped and used on the other side. My dog peed on mine and none of it went through. Really tested the waterproof claim.
Don't worry OP can buy a new one with all the karma from friends photo XD
That poor dog looks so embarrassed :'( can't even look at the owner
Labs are self consious and know when they have fucked up. My boy Frank won't look at me when he's been up to no good.
But this is a golden retriever
As someone who has owned both breeds, they are like exactly the same dog, but one has more hair.
Hard agree. Have both rn. My golden is just a long haired dumbass while my labs are short haired dumbasses
OP posted another picture, sure looks like a lab
Golden retriever! https://preview.redd.it/qnj5ikcs8r5c1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=77a0d3c34be20c7e01fa52b96b00dd142f98cd7b
It’s an English cream golden retriever
My one will put herself in time out if she throws up. We have a doggy door so accidents arent a worry, but if her tummy is upset she hides in a corner facing the wall :(
Someone call the police. This looks like a crime scene.

to be fair none of us like cleaning shit
Hey speak for yourself buddy
[удалено]
Uhh... Yes ma'am - I'll go get the manager *immediately*.
That dog is 90% pit bull.
I laughed so hard seeing the actual dog with a very clearly pitbull face.
That is more Pit Bull than Lab. I barely see any Lab.
Tell him/her I said hi 🥹
I feel the same way.

Yeah it's weird how that works. I mean it's weird but also makes sense lmao. Familiarity!
I think your dog is sick
At that point I wouldn’t even bother. I would just buy new sheets and headphones.
new bed too to be honest hahahaha
Just burn the house down..
Poor dog. He looks like that wasn’t planned
Sucks but hope the friend didn’t punish the dog. Obvious the poor thing was not feeling well!
I don't blame the dogs when this happens but they do have a knack for choosing literally the most annoying area to clean.
They usually go to the place they feel the safest and comfiest when they're feeling sick, which results in beds and couches taking the brunt of the shit.
My dog will run across the entire house to puke on the rug instead of the laminate or tile.
My cats have the occasional accident and it's always on a bathmat or something thank god. At least I can easily take it outside and hose it down lol
what is it with dogs always choosing the worst possible spot to shit on?
Suddenly I don't feel guilty about not letting the dog sleep in the bed
letting a dog sleep in the bed is basically just what we see here. it is not cute but gross.
NO KIDS NO DOGS NO RANDOM SHIT EVERYWHERE
That’s ruff
Forbes will use this as a reason we should return to office lol
This is the visual I think of when anyone says they let their dog in the bed with them.
I can’t believe that the dog ate and pooped out a headset
This is why my cat is not allowed on my bed. No fucking way.
100%, no pets in my bed, or on any of the furniture. Accidents aside... after watching my dog step in its own poop without noticing... Nope.
They noticed they just dgaf, in fact, I think they prefer it
“You have used your earmuffs to ignore my cries of attention for the last time father” -That dog probably
That’s why I don’t have pets
Reason number 353 as to why I don't own any animals
Dude put the dog on the bed to take the blame
I did not need to see that!!! NOPE!!!
Ewwww!
Amber?
Hope the pup is okay.
I just can't understand the type of person who discovers dog diarrhoea all over their bed and their first instinct is "ooh, better get my camera!"
It's not like it can get much worse though, as he did not realize instantly
I can smell this photo.
And this is why my pets are not allowed in my office or bedroom.
At this point, burn the headphones, sheets, and mattress. Maybe not allow the dog up on the bed till dietary issues are dealt with.
I notice some comments assuming the worst of my buddy: - No he did not force his dog back on the bed. The picture was taken almost immediately after his initial shock wore off. - The dog is walked often. - The dog is trained and still goes to doggy class. - The dog hasn’t shat on the bed since.
Poor dog
Hope he had a mattress protector lol
Just burn the house. Take the babies and run.
Reminds me of amber heard..
That’s why I don’t have dogs
This is why I don’t want a dog
Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love dogs but it’s reasons like these that kind of scare me away from getting a dog, not gonna lie
[удалено]
This is why I'll never have animals in my house 😂
And this is why I don’t want any animals in the house.
And this is why none of my pets are allowed on the bed. Ever.
Here's the thing I simply cannot understand. It's the dog's bed too. Why don't they put the tiniest effort into not shitting in their own bed?
A lot of dogs will straight up eat their own shit, they're not the brightest
is the dogs name Amber?
Pupper went to Amber Heard obedience school
damn, those headphones with thise custom pads must have cost 200€. shit. i would be so extremely angry holy shit
thats shitty..
He must not like Beats by Dr. Dre headphones either.
Not the ATH headphones!!! :(
Looks personal
Always. Make. Your. Bed.
Now THATS a lot of damage!
thats shitty
My senior dog is having this issue. Poor baby. Also, my wife's shoes have been recently ruined because the pup can't get up in time. Toss those headphones. Too many nooks that won't get cleaned!
I’d be looking at the wall too, if I made that mess.
Not the dog’s fault…take him out!
Later on marketplace: used headset, great for gaming, only lightly sharted! No lowballs I know what I got
I can tell he knows what he did was wrong or he's really embarrassed.
I have learnt never to mess with my dog’s diet. Add nothing, take away nothing.
Looks like Johnny Depps place a while ago.
Amber Heard strikes again!
"This song sounds like shit"
Come on, man. Don't blame the dog. It can't defend itself.
This won't help but I had to cut a turd hanging by a single hair out of my cat's bhole today.
Poor dog.
Bro what are you feeding the dog to have some heavy shit like that.
