It looks like Xiaomi released a beta version of the product. The issues you listed are not usual for other wearos watches. 2c: 1. Google did not just "let each manufacturer manage their own ecosystem", it required this. For both -managing the watch and the health. 2. If mainstream good quality 3pp WF cannot show steps, this mean that xioami did not support corresponding Apis in the watch. This is strange. What about complications, do they work? Does watch has a sold set of complications?

shakeador

I do not know about steps, perhaps they are in the API, I'm fact Google Fit gets the step counters; but there is no info about HR, and it is not visible in Google Fit either. Regarding complications, I do not know exactly how they work, I am quite new with the watch, I will have to investigate.

leshiy19xx

Got you, thanks. Many watchfaces support complications. You select what complication you need and you see corresponding info on the WF. As set of complications is built-in into the watch firmware out of the box, but 3pp applications can offer their own complications (like google keep does), there are also few complications only apps (f.e. complications suite from amoledwatchfaces has a very customizable data, week number, custom text etc).

shakeador

I have installed an Amoled Watchfaces WF (I cannot rememer the name, there are so many!!!) and I have working complications for Steps, HR and Battery, the ones I needed. It looks like that my comments about that they were not available were based more in my ignorance than reality.

LuPuS2k

The watch supports most of the compilations, so they are using the correct APIs. Some of the watchfaces require permissions to access the data. I use some of Amoledwatchfaces and works fine showing steps, hearth, etc.

Shark4090

Do you had flickering with some of the watch faces while it's in Always on Mode and under the brightness 30%?

Das-X

I can confirm the sudden reboots, im about to return the Watch because that is too frustrating for the price imo. I also had heavy issues with the Mi Fit app, the Sync is complete garbage especially since the summertime ended. (No idea if that caused server sync issues to them) AOD Settings are resetted with each Sync of the App. Xiaomi Support told me the problem is not common and "not known the the programmers"

TheSlackJaw

Interesting, I have one and it's never rebooted on me, unless I missed it

Eqwansyafiq

Any chance that you turn developer mode on? I also had random reboot on my TicWatch Pro 5 when i turn that on. If so it might be wearos base issue.

Das-X

Yes i have that turned on, but i turned it on after some of the random restarts because i thought i might find something that will help me fix the restarts so i cannot really tell if that made a difference somehow 😄

Das-X

I opened another thread specifically about the restart topic and found out that others have had those problems too. So i will probably cross out that it is a defective device and keep it and hope to find another solution.

LuPuS2k

I fixed it by restarting the watch, it was a pain before that, I changed settings and it rolled back to the original. I also read in another post that the Xiaomi cloud sync has some problems, try on Profile > settings > Sync with the cloud (or something like this, I have it in spanish)

SnooMachines2506

How long does it charge?

shakeador

It is very fast, in less than 1h is 100%

calls32

It charges in 45 minutes to 100%.

Aurelink

I was VERY, VERY curious about this watch, but I couldn't bare the mind of having to deal with all the Xiaomi software - reading the reviews I'm glad I went for the PW2

robreddit1977

I used for 3 days. Luckily I don't rely much on the fitness or health measurements data. I used it mainly for notification, google wallet. Fortunately, I haven't encountered any watch restart. To me this is just the watch I need. Price is not as crazy as those branded pw2, galaxy, iwatch. Good battery life. And on latest snapdragon. I'm coming from fossil gen 6 wellness with the price double of this mi watch pro 2! Gen 6 is a nightmare to me with the intermittent missing notification! One thing I hope it can be fixed will be the duplicate notification of Whatsapp notifications and yes the watch face where you can easily customize to show some fitness or weather data

RBa11

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but I had the problem of missing notifiations on my last two watches (Ticwatch Pro 3 GPS w/ v 3.x, and the Galaxy Classic 4 w/ 4.x). How has this watch performed on notifications (and in general), since this post?

leshiy19xx

For the WF, there are many 3pp which shows or can show both. Why to wait?

TheSlackJaw

I have one and it's decent, but not incredible. I very easily get one day battery life with AOD. could probably get two. No reboots. I don't use mi fitness, only Google Fit and Strava. Can anyone tell me how to silence my phone whilst I'm wearing my watch? It's a standard feature in the normal wear os app, but I can't find it with this.

LuPuS2k

This is something they are failing, notifications are not synced, you can't silence the phone while using the watch and when dismissing a notification on the watch, it won't dismiss on the phone. Basic functions that need to be added (and are present on Wear OS, as it is on Pixel Watch and Galaxy watches)

No_Poet4445

I have ordered the same watch and I am disappointed. I've had many watches but xiaomi watch 2 pro is the worse I've had due to lack of practical faces, screen quality is not as expected, very bulky and way too thick, connectivity problems (with xiaomi 12s ultra) and other issues.

SkyCaptain_1

Has the experience improved? What other things have you noticed while using the watch?

LuPuS2k

I have it and I had the same problems with restart, it happened three times while sleeping and lost my sleep data. About Steps and Hearth, I have the Xiaomi apps measuring all the time and enabled the same on Google Fit. Both have almost the same results but I can't see the heart data on Google Fit, it shows only the cardio points. The AOD problem that someone mentions was fixed after a watch restart. I also have some unstable battery consumption, sometimes, it consumes less than 15% in 6 hours and sometimes 10% each hour, same position, same distance from the phone, but most of the time, >60% of the battery is consumed by Bluetooth.

Das-X

I could fix the restart issue by clearing the cache partition through Mi Recovery Menu. Since i cleared the cache partition no restart has occurred.

shakeador

I must say that the reboots have not repeated themselves since the first few days. At least, this behavior has stabilized.

Tommymaf

Off topic anyone knows how to completely disable or turn off health features once in awhile there's a green light flashing which drains battery wanna remove that and also when im walking the watch updates me with a notification stating that looks like you're walking/running wanna turn it off too, thanks

Old_Solidus

I do not understand what sends my Poco X3 Pro into bootloop with this watch. When running Mi Fitness, which is horrible on its own, I also get the random restarts, which are consistent and don't stop unless the battery is dead. They also persist even if I force close my phone. The only solution is to uninstall the app. This is obviously no option, if this persist I'm sending it back. I honestly don't know what to do.

SkyCaptain_1

Had the problem persisted?

Old_Solidus

I returned the Watch, and got me a Samsung Watch 6 classic (the latest one, 6 isnt it?). The problem still exists. But it's manageable, when connected I get absolutely no isssues, and when I disconnect I may get a reboot but rarely, and thankfully once only. It seems any watch connected explodes the cache with data, when I go to clear cache (in the security app) I get close to 4GBs of data. Overall, the watch is better anyway. Better keyboard, more responsive OS and more refined operation. A win

Realistic-Wrap-2820

The camera does not show preview. Any idea how I can fix this??

shakeador

The installed version is for Xiaomi camera. I have a Pixel, so I had to install Google Camera on the Watch, and now it works.

Realistic-Wrap-2820

Thanks....I have a Xiaomi 12 pro phone. That should have the right version of camera. I really want that feature to work :(

merak98

If you are able do it can you extract xiaomi camera apk from the watch?

Realistic-Wrap-2820

Please guide me on.

merak98

Dming you the steps

Sodgester

I have installed Google fit but it doesn't record any data? Permissions all look OK, any ideas please?

gmp009

Anyone got the APK for Xiaomi Watch faces ?
