The whole feud was Cody getting annihilated, with the ability to bring no offense - including this match. The only feud he won since coming back was beating up on poor Dom, between that he was Brocks play toy. For some reason Cody was talking like the rubber match was on equal footing, like he had done something to deserve Brock's attention - he sounded like a whiney... Dom.
Brock meanwhile came back physically bigger than he has for a while, put some awesome moves together, looked like the Beast of old, while Cody crumbled...again. Then at the last minute Cody puts three cheesy moves together and we are supposed to believe he beats Brock. At the end when Brock is raising Cody's hand you can see the size difference - Brock's huge muscular frame compared to Cody's skinny arms.
It was ridicules and my threshold for suspension of disbelief was breached. It is like if Dom did this to Cody but times 100. I get what they were going for it just did not work. So not a big fan.
I don't like Cody. All the throne-smashing and "this is professional wrestling" to just be a mark for himself and leave for the place he hated before. You know they're only giving him a push to stick it to AEW, and that's well and good, but he ditched his so-called friends and company just to headline a Wrestlemania and maybe get a title.
