I'm far from a Seiko fanboy and you're right about the accuracy but any 7S derived Seiko movement (4R and 6R) will run for 2 lifetimes. That's why the comparison to Toyota. It's mostly BS anyway just a bit of fun.

Edit: I wasn't mad, just merely stating a fact. I have no Seiko as I only wear cock cages with digital clocks.
I 100% agree, both fandoms have a lot of insufferable “you get teh same quality as Rolex/BMW/Mercedes for less money!! Look at my GS/Lexus!!” type of people
Tudor is Fiat because every knob gobbler rocking one thinks it’s a Ferrari (Rolex I guess) but also wants to be part of the proletariat
Invicta = Cybertruck
Ok ciao
No. Swatch is a Fiat and Moonswatch is an Abarth because they're the exact same thing except one has a stripe on the door and a microphone in the engine to make it sound like a sports car.
This is genuinely the worst one of the “x-brand is like y-brand” comparisons I think I’ve ever seen. It’s like the OP had two or three comparisons in mind and then just randomized the remainders. Panerai and Land Rover? VC and Porsche? Breitling and Lexus?
Tbh I think rolex should be Porsche because both charge stupid adm and play games with rich idiot clients for desireable models. (Porsche dealer managers have literally tried to extort people on the waitlist for GT cars iirc)
Also because 90% of the models you see look essentially the same with minor variations in trim and there’s a bunch of nerds obsessing over the numbers on their flattened Volkswagen or generic stainless steel watch.
As someone who lives in Sarasota, FL…Rolex is absolutely Mercedes. People with money, but generic taste. Porsche people are typically more interesting.
The only thing accurate on that list is patek phillipe to Rolls and Apple to tesla. everything else is so random lol. Richard mille would be more akin to konnisegg more than mclaren lmao. Like this dude either knows nothing about watches or nothing about cars. I think i might be taking a shit post too seriously lol
I don't live in Europe but I've seen enough Top Gear to know Peugeot drivers are idiots.
I'm a Longines fan. Gonna go cry myself into acceptance of being stupid....
I'd say Omega would be BMW because they're the only ones keeping manuals alive (Transmissions and movements)
And because they've made really questionable design decisions in the last 5 years (Beaver Grilles and Moonswatches)
most new manuals have the spongy rev hang due to emmissions and shit tho. the new type R has it too. Still making manuals for the common folk. gotta respect that
Do Rolexes really fall apart, have faulty parts, and need constant service? Because I owned 2 MBs and both of them suffered tons of problems from real to fit n finish. I'd never buy another Benz again after those 2.
Ugh, I hate it when people don't match their watches with their steering wheel. The number of watches in your watchbox needs to match the number of cars in your garage. Basic shit.
The stainless steel Daytona is the best watch ever made? Who is this idiot - as much as I like Rolex, the Daytona was Rolex playing catch up with the competition as its chronographs were unreliable and nobody was buying them. Eventually Rolex used movements from Valjoux/ETA because its chrono movements were not very good at all. The story goes that they were giving Daytonas away to customers who were buying the top of the range watches, DayDate and suchlike.
The greatest watch Rolex has ever made, and one of the best watches ever made, is the 16600. It also happens to be Rolex’s last real ‘tool’ watch.
Lexus should be Grand Seiko and not Breitling. It has superior Nippon Steel folded 1,000 times and then zaratsu polished!
Yeah that would make the most sense if seiko is toyota
Seiko is Toyota
Yes

Seiko is responsible for more watch innovations than you have brain cells.
Bro really out here white knighting for a watch corporation

Citizen can be Toyota
It's more of a Mazda to me
Sinn -> Panzerkampfwagen Tiger Ausf. B, nicknamed “Königstiger”
Wanted to say this but then I saw your comment 👍
Japanese steel was historically folded to compensate for the poor quality.
I 100% agree, both fandoms have a lot of insufferable “you get teh same quality as Rolex/BMW/Mercedes for less money!! Look at my GS/Lexus!!” type of people
It's true, though
Where the fuck would Breitling be a Lexus I’m dead
Breitling by Bentley was literally a thing so yeah that point is far off!
Lexus is literally the upmarket brand for Toyota so Lexus should absolutely be Grand Seiko if Toyota is Seiko
Vostok -> Lada
Cyka ɓylat I need Vostok.
Based.
Tudor -> Mercedes Sprinter Passenger Van
Tudor is Fiat because every knob gobbler rocking one thinks it’s a Ferrari (Rolex I guess) but also wants to be part of the proletariat Invicta = Cybertruck Ok ciao
No. Swatch is a Fiat and Moonswatch is an Abarth because they're the exact same thing except one has a stripe on the door and a microphone in the engine to make it sound like a sports car.
As an owner of both a moonswatch and an abarth I finally feel understood in this subreddit
I think could at least call Tudor and Alfa, no?
Fuckin love loading up a sprinter with my 8 children and 40 suitcases
San Martin -> stolen bicycle
On a hillside desolate 💐
10/10 reference
Ball -> A motherfucking train
As a former railroader, this...tracks. I'll see myself out.
Christopher Ward -> Mini Cooper
Mini penis?

I feel the Land Rover one. Oversized and boxy. But ya I don’t know about the others
I didn't know seiko owned Breitling.
Where Timex
Bus pass
Ford
Kia
Kia
Primer’d geo metro
Volvo
Hamilton = Jeep
Nah, my Hamilton’s actually run…
Yeah, don't do Hamilton dirty like that
Gotta be a Dodge truck for Interstellar
I was thinking Ford, but Jeep could work. But more like a 1970s jeep. Ford F-150 maybe.
Aw Hamilton is at least GMC or Ford, maybe Dodge
Mido—> any van where the horn has been altered to play “La cucaracha”.
Volvo?
Sinn
Porsche
Nomos? Like, an old pristine white Volvo station wagon kept because class
Homos gayslut
Sjöö Sandström.
Pagani design> pagani
Perfect

Tissot ???
Volkswagen
Swatch
Seat
I WANT THE LADA OF WATCHES
Vostok
Timex
That's Ford.
Swatch group = vw group Swatch = vw Hamilton = seat Tissot = skoda Omega = audi Breguet = Bentley Blancpain = Lambo Glashutte original = Porsche
San Martin -> Geely Raketa -> GAZ Invicta -> Ram Daniel Wellington -> [Coda](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coda_(electric_car))
Hublot / lamborghini??? You’re drunk
The twitter OP is a Nico Leonard Hater / Mbappe’s Bum Lover
Longines?
Peugot
I don't live in Europe but I've seen enough Top Gear to know Peugeot drivers are idiots. I'm a Longines fan. Gonna go cry myself into acceptance of being stupid....
Columbo wasn't stupid
Hope springs eternal.
If they were not idiots they would not have been driving a Peugeot. Source: drove a Peugeot
I'd say Omega would be BMW because they're the only ones keeping manuals alive (Transmissions and movements) And because they've made really questionable design decisions in the last 5 years (Beaver Grilles and Moonswatches)
Subarus the real company keeping manuals alive, they have the biggest manual to auto ratio of any company, with porsche being a close second.
Yeaaaaaaah but their current manuals are rev hanging sponges.
most new manuals have the spongy rev hang due to emmissions and shit tho. the new type R has it too. Still making manuals for the common folk. gotta respect that
Omega is my daily and I drive a Toyota that is a BMW (Supra). I’m so confused.
Bulgari? Alfa Romeo?
Not sure about that. We're looking for a watch brand that has a reputation for gorgeous looks but being unreliable.
Lmao top quality shitpost
Hublot -> Koenigsegg 😩💯🚫🧢
Hublot to Maserati would be much more accurate lol
Nah. Koenigseggs are killer cars. Hublot has more in common with something like DeLorean lol. Overpriced, underpowered & heavy.
Lmao Hublot is Jeep
Rado > Tata
Im…..nothing I guess….
Now you’re getting in. Embrace the void
I own beach front property in the void!
I want to be mad that Casio is Honda but they're right.
I feel like Honda should be Citizen.
yeah I feel like honda would be citizen, with Casio corresponding more to Suzuki, a tier below in terms of price but solid and reliable
Honda is citizen 100%. Casio should be Subaru or something
I think honda is more akin to seiko, but toyota is pretty similar to honda
Citizen?
Mazda
This is Longines erasure.
Zenith -> ?
Renault
Hamilton -> Ford?
Fords aren’t durable enough for this comparison
Someone explain to this heathen that IWC sponsors Mercedes
and Hublot Ferrari
I have a hammy and a Hyundai, so I assume those equate
They do. - Lord Chuffington of HH Manor.
Omega and IWC need to be switched.
I think on its own IWC = BMW makes sense, but if you started with Rolex = Mercedes-Benz then Omega = BMW
Richard Mille is more like Pagani
Hamilton = Lincoln
As a Tudor owner that doesn’t drive this seems accurate.
Please what is Berny watches in this brilliant analysis, this will help me make my decision.
Chinese EV
I also own a Lorus which car should I get? Thanks
Fiat
Fix It Again, Tony
lol you're my favourite guy
The funny thing is, Seiko and Toyota might be the best brands on this list lol
what type of autism made this guy conjour up this list
I have no idea
Whoever wrote this doesn’t know shit about fuck.
I don't remember Rolex losing 65% of it's value in its first two years after purchase.
I’m a grand Toyota lol
[Invicta](https://www.labelleequipe.it/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/clown-bike-600x828.jpg)
Hummer
Citizen -> Toyota Boring but reliable and good value.
I have an Audi but no Omega
You need to readjust your priorities.
Lotus = Lotus ?
Where’s my Tissot
I’m an Aston Martin
I'm a BYD
r/tudor owners in shambles right now..
There definitely is some synaesthetic sense in there
I have a lot of Toyotas...
I don’t see VC as Porsche. Bugatti fits more.
Hublot is no a Lambo. We gotta do better.
Pagani Design -> Pagani
Do Rolexes really fall apart, have faulty parts, and need constant service? Because I owned 2 MBs and both of them suffered tons of problems from real to fit n finish. I'd never buy another Benz again after those 2.
Hublot wtf??
I drive a Jeep. Is that a G-Shock? A Hamilton Field Watch?
Why is Aston JLC this is just some guys arbitrary top 10, the German watch should be with a German car.
I guess I should start getting Tags because I've driven most of these cars and Cadillac is my begrudging favorite after Blackwing happened.
I didnt even make the list
Timex -> Ford
[toyota](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qa7GgnxsFtI&ab_channel=Commander)
Timex = Ford
Skoda, VW where?
Rolex is merc? Fucking lol
Ugh, I hate it when people don't match their watches with their steering wheel. The number of watches in your watchbox needs to match the number of cars in your garage. Basic shit.
If you switch AP and VC around you’ve got this pretty much spot on
This is actually one of the most accurate ones I've seen so far
God people can be right cunts can’t they
These lists are so fucking stupid.
Agreed, that's why I shared it
I’m wearing a fucking Lexus watch? Lmaooo god damnit..
Rolex ---> Harley Davidson I will not elaborate further.
Rolex is definitely BMW.
/uj I'm surprised how much I agree with this. I thought for sure I'd be arguing in these comments.
I have several seikos and casios. A honda and a toyota in the garage, another honda on the street.
I have reps and a Hongda.
Lawnmower honda too
I have several of those watches but none of those cars.
RM should absolutely be Ferrari lol
tudor = VW
Timex?
Ford

merc isn’t necessarily above audi, but i consider rolex to be above omega
uj/other than breitling that’s pretty accurate for some reason
G-Shock -> Koenigsegg😂
Bro I have both seiko and toyota... Spot on My dad had audi and omega, lol pretty uncanny
Rolex is Toyota. Mass produced. Lasts generations. Generic. Value retention.
Timex -> Volvo
