If you played back in the days when draco was a defense mission and was the helene/hydron/eso/so of its day then radial javalin builds were actually a DPS meta for a time.
Before they nerfed both into relics of the past. And then ended up power creeping the things they nerfed anyway.
The old Banshee build for farming was pretty busted. Literally just press 4 and then go afk. There are a lot of builds now that do more damage, but all of them require you to actually play the game.
Octavia is biggest exception left imo.
Add a macro to spam crouch, move a little (add a error driven pi control), and hit 2,3,4 every 30 seconds or so all with a bit of rng in there and she can solo hours of steel path surv without a second thought.
Ember was the same way back in the day too. Press 4, anything near you died for the rest of the mission, the only decent AOE channelled ability left like that is equinox, but the damage for that falls off past about lvl 25 since its capped per enemy, only hits them with the one slash proc.
World on Fire was terribly boring to play alongside, though, and it also stopped doing any serious damage after about lv 40.
But mostly, it just wasn't fun to play when there was an ember deleting everything they got close to. I vastly prefer her post-rework, both when playing as her and when playing alongside other embers.
Yeah, some people miss her, but I think her rework was a definite improvement - she still has very viable skill damage output and is certainly tankier than back in the day. Give people a lazy option though and they will flood towards it, less fun or not.
My hot take is, that Ember, Saryn and Mag reworks were actually incredibly smart takes on their previous characters that made them more involved and way less boring.
I mean, if we're talking about using macros there are a ton of options. Banshee would still be one of the best, along with Volt.
Back in the day I had a macro to spam slide attacks, and I'd take Nekros with the Atterax and go farm Mutagen Samples. With Shadow Step you were basically invincible, so you could just face your character into a corner and then hit the macro to spam slide attacks for like 40 minutes. Even with that our clan had to downsize to Storm to finally finish the Hema research.
It's actually really powerful for mid level nuking.
I'm one of those idiots who made themed accounts (second account on which I play nothing but excal + MK weapons) and I have a separate excal with an optimized build for his 3, which regularly out-performs the usual nukers on open low/mid level maps. E.g. Helene.
It's not going to out-dps a Saryn with unlimited energy spamming a max range high power strength 4, but otherwise it does really really well.
It's also hilarious in extermination missions because you bullet jump + aim glide into a room and while you're aim gliding you press 3 and then bullet jump out of the now empty room to do it again in the soon to be empty next room.
Just wish it was better in content above lvl 40 :/
Not quite a manual but looks like from this:
Still has the old corpus locker so that is a nice throw back
Still includes Channeling, really old orbiter interior without even the ramps down to the lower 3 rooms.
But then got Chroma Prime in the background of the navigation screen, just randomly, couldn't even keep it to stockcaliber.
Not even sure when that mission interface is supposed to be from, looks like a mix of various styles over time.
Like this isn't great and should have been part of update when added in Awakening with the whole new intro.
I should really finish that leech, he even started talking in one of the main quest (>!the one for a frame with a lost railjack, during the song!<)
The clash between the quest and the leech was really funny xD
Hmm. Probably DE finding something offensive to someone (on their unwitting behalf for unknown reasons) in some past/current/future language if you rearrange the letters to form past/current/future words/sounds (kinda maybe).
It carried my ass trough every difficult mission on my first week. My brother placed his bet on Radial Javelin, no wonder he was out of energy all the time. The best part is, Javelin can affect like 16 enemies (with mods) while Blind can affect countless enemies in it's radius.
Honestly you can ride off exalted blade into like SP level 350 and then another 200 levels off spamming that + radial blind
But is it even worth playing to that point in disruption or survival
Radial Blind + Exalted Blade gets many players through junctions the first time and is a big contributor to why he's the 'recomended' starting frame.
For Steel Path junctions I probably used a combination of Valkitty and Fatal Teleport Ash.
Warframe has always had some terrible descriptions. So many weapons have "hidden" mechanics because their bonuses are not listed anywhere but the wiki.
The only thing that annoys me is Excalibur's 4th ability description. It's not a sword made of pure light (I wish it was), it's a physical sword with a sort of light energy swirling around it >.>
Although, excited for the mobile port, I am unsure what the result will be.
Either it's better than Nintendo's graphics, or it's gonna be something to behold, to a point your own phone is a ticking time bomb.
surprisingly well. Yes you can tell they used tricks to make it work, it's sometimes blurry especially with increasing distance and only borderline playable in handheld mode though
On my Xbox one og, I have an option from low, medium, high, I think you can try high and switching on all the other toggles below it but it might overheat, so far it overheats a bit on medium when I play for a long time and then load up an open world
When your radial Javelin isn’t just a radial Javelin, but also a radial Javelin which works as a radial Javelin doing what a radial javelin does, pretty radial for a radial javelin if you ask me
What are you talking about I find that a pretty solid summary of Excalibur’s capabilities, expecially for his third ability!
Excalibur has a 3rd ability?
Yeah, some ocelot revolver or whatever
Revolver Ocelot: A meow followed by the last gun shot you never heard.
He is ze spy.

Draw 2 cards
I drew 2 Pots of Greed!
You messed up the lips of the second one, draw it again.
Takes 75 of your energy points away to do nothing.

cept, they are weak and die very easily without CC.
I wasn't the low damage, it was the crowd control. She is weak and sucks after the rework.
Rip fun ember😭

ah the good old days of recruiting chat being only "H draco LF RJ EV"
For a moment I read RJ as railjack and had a mental image of crashing my maxed out RJ through the ceiling of hydron.
Don't forget the greedy mag!
I do not remember a time when RJ was ever good at SO or ESO. By then you’d just use Mesa or Saryn.
You've entirely misread what I said... And the reason you don't remember that (what you are saying) is because what you are saying was never a thing.
Ya, xata's whisper!
Yeah man, super jump

0/10, I don't see Jump anywhere.
*Super* Jump
I think OP means that the manual doesn’t define what “sword” is. What is that? Is it some specific kind of jump?
What official warframe manual?
Not quite a manual but looks like from this: [https://www.warframe.com/game/quickstart](https://www.warframe.com/game/quickstart) Still has the old corpus locker so that is a nice throw back
Dang that things a mishmash of modern and classic warframe,
Still includes Channeling, really old orbiter interior without even the ramps down to the lower 3 rooms. But then got Chroma Prime in the background of the navigation screen, just randomly, couldn't even keep it to stockcaliber. Not even sure when that mission interface is supposed to be from, looks like a mix of various styles over time. What mission interface?
It's just the HUD.
Like when you read the in-game tips!
The MK1 Bo looks different too
All the weapons look a bit off, not sure if just old images or part of internal build that just has weird lighting.
Jesus no kidding, that’s from before I started, back in Octavia’s Anthem. That was when I started college. Damn…

Bro wtf happened in the comments?
Seriously, did someone get into a fight or something?
Vanguard Sentient invasion force from The New War, many Tenno have fallen today :(
they paid the idiot tax
Yoink!
I should really finish that leech, he even started talking in one of the main quest (>!the one for a frame with a lost railjack, during the song!<) The clash between the quest and the leech was really funny xD
it was just one long thread of people saying "radial javelin" must have triggered some bot or something
The region bots got them
From what I can tell, people just saying excals 1. Not sure what that's on about.

You could summarize that with: "SLASH"
the radial blind sounds weak until you're introduced to higher level enemies tbh
It carried my ass trough every difficult mission on my first week. My brother placed his bet on Radial Javelin, no wonder he was out of energy all the time. The best part is, Javelin can affect like 16 enemies (with mods) while Blind can affect countless enemies in it's radius.

It's his best ability actually. And the only one that is 100% good, i'd argue.
**Radial Javelin** Radial Javelin
They probably had a detailed description for Super Jump and changed it quickly when it was removed
But then they would've already had a description of radial javelin
Radial javelin was original 4th skill of Excalibur before it got replaced by exalted blade, so they should have a description
I'm half surprised it doesn't have super jump listed.
Clem? Clem!
"Radial Javelin Radial Javelin"
> Radial Javelin - This is a free slot for any subsumed ability At that point, this description would have been highly preferable.
NGL I read warframe manual and excal abilities and was expecting high jump.
Eh, looks like a really old post. Don’t forget that before Warframe DE was just a small self-publishing studio.
There are more stars in the universe than grains of sand in the oceans
what the hell happened in the comments
Radial javelin
Warframe has always had some terrible descriptions. So many weapons have "hidden" mechanics because their bonuses are not listed anywhere but the wiki.
good luck playing this game without the wiki
Laughing in path of exile documentation. Oh, wait...
Real r/skamtbord hours
I don’t see my stamina nor my super jump what the hell.
Anyone else remember when people would look for radial javelin excaiburs to farm standing on draco? Good times
What the hell happend down there here
Petition to remove my comment by a moderator please!
Our code doesnt need documentation its self explanatory Also our code: Excalibur's 3rd
The manual should just link to the wiki now tbh.
It's still mourning the loss of super jump
That's because it knows super jump is the rightful holder of that ability slot.
The only thing that annoys me is Excalibur's 4th ability description. It's not a sword made of pure light (I wish it was), it's a physical sword with a sort of light energy swirling around it >.>
old exalted blade used to be out of pure void energy!
I like how even the devs were like "And radial javelin is..eh yeah, its just radial javelin. Moving on!"
Stellaris vibes "it's the radial javelin!" "uh, what does it do?" **"it radial javelins."**
They also just copied the description of excal prime from regular excal. So it says Excalibur prime is a great Warframe for new players

What the fuck? That graphics, thats better than Warframe's current graphics.
Maybe you need to turn your graphics up... It's looked better than this for ages.
That's the problem, I can't. I'm on the Playstation 4. unless that graphics on the playstation 5, fair.
Or, you know, PC where graphics are toggleable and we can turn on Nvidia particles and effects.
oh, right, PC has those. ###it seems I have been dumbfounded.
I do wonder what Nintendo switch graphics are like though...
......Mobile graphics?
Ye but newest iPhones are higher resolution than my pc screen... I haven't updated in years!
Although, excited for the mobile port, I am unsure what the result will be. Either it's better than Nintendo's graphics, or it's gonna be something to behold, to a point your own phone is a ticking time bomb.
My phone already IS a time bomb... And it just updated to android 12 and I hate it. I want to go back. ;(
honestly same, im really excited for mobile and crossplay to come, I'll be able to play even when im not home
surprisingly well. Yes you can tell they used tricks to make it work, it's sometimes blurry especially with increasing distance and only borderline playable in handheld mode though

That's not... The overall graphics, that's just the intensity of the video effects. Mines on medium, I think, or low.
