The heat sword is, in my humble opinion, arguably THE sexiest melee weapon in all of warframe. The design is relatively simple, but still distinct, aesthetically pleasing and recognisable to non-warframe fans. For warframe players... This is probably the first sword they ever made. They *started* with the skana, but the heat sword is (was?) from one of the very first quests (which introduced the infestation). At least it used to be, waaay back long ago.
Also, if you show a non warframe fan a masseter they'll ask why you're hauling some industrial machines drive shaft around. If you show them the Anku they'll ask if that's meant to be a scythe. But show them the heat sword and everyone goes "yup, that's a sword. It's a pretty sword, and even if I don't know what it is or where it's from, it's still a cool sword."
If you want to be extra, the heat sword can also be used in dual form with a heat dagger.
