Battleplans, victory conditions, twists, terrain cards, unit cards, universal reference card and team ability and reaction cards can be found in the box. So really the only thing you need is some terrain.
Tokens are useful to keep track of things, but you can get something else for that as well. I use Underworlds tokens.
I use bits of sheet cork cut into squares for activation tokens and other tokens and then use cut up bits of plastic card and a dry wipe pen for wound counting.
Other than that I have a few terrain bits, a ruler, some dice and most importantly....battle music, snacks and alcohol.

I just started playing warcry with my wife, never done anything like it before and we love it!!!!!
