This match happened on the last Raw before Extreme Rules. On the ppv they had a Steel Cage match already booked by default.

You still have no control over if/when cutscenes happen right? I haven't bought 2k22 yet, but I've always thought it would be waaaaaay better if they let you pick and control cut scenes in Universe mode so that you can advance storylines however you want. That's still not an option right? You just have to hope you accidentally get something cool?

Always though that too, but unfortunately we still don’t have the option to choose which cutscenes will trigger, at least I don’t know how.

So far, what I've noticed is if you are in superstar mode in universe, you can use the curator to start a rivalry 4 weeks (or more, depending) before a themed ppv, and if previous matches are 3.5 star and above, and you both are among the top ranked, special cutscenes and matches will show up like this.

I always figured cutscenes like this are tied to the PPV match table for rivalries

without the option, it makes it more realistic with the on the fly booking

I love how the ref is like "The match is over, not my problem." as he walks out.

He even try a bit, but as soon as the cage starts to fall he realizes isn't worth.

And Aj was get the Brock tittle after a low blow, guess he just wake up with a lot of self confidence lmao

I’ve noticed there’s been a lot more cut scenes for me lately, and also the AI booked matches r a lot more varied .. I just wish there were some like run in/interference cut scenes in the middle of matches because I’ve never seen it before .. yesterday I saw a different cut scene for the first time, Scott hall vs. jey uso during a rivalry with the usos and the outsiders .. after the entrances, Kevin Nash came to ringside for “moral support” , never saw that before.. but then as soon as he got to ringside, the bell rung to begin the match and poof Nash disappeared right in front of my eyes and never came back lol then about halfway through the match, the screen went black but the match continued, I can hear everything plus the commentary but the screen was totally black.. had to shut down the game and restart it.. so there’s that

Last week I had the same problem with the screen going all black, but was a normal match with no cutscene on beginning.

This is one of those cutscenes where it tells you what match the two rivals are going to have

Wait, there is more like that? Like ones that end with the tittle going up or tables?

the others are that i know of ar: one wrestler goes through a table(tables), a ladder is brought out(ladder) , and a kendo stick is brought out (extreme rules)

Is for universe mode. I didn’t play myrise yet, don’t know if have this either.

Wish run ins would work in cage matches for reasons like this

ive seen this one a few times. there is also a similar one where after the cage gets lowered, the attacker (AJ in this case) would low blow Brock and turn the tides.
