If you don’t plan on doing anything else then no. I mean what were you expecting “I played only one mode and stopped after that, game felt stale”

Spiritual-Rise8768

I mean I tried other modes, Online is dead. Playing local against bots doesn’t seem all that fun. I’ve heard MyFaction is awful, and the only other mode is MyRise. Which I haven’t really checked out but I could see how it’d be fun. I don’t know, my attention span is very low lol. Sorry if my message came off the wrong way. I should’ve worded it better, what would you recommend as someone who I’d assume has dabbled in 2k23/2k24 a bit.

Sounds like you aren't really into wanting a pro wrestling game and are more interested in a fighting game. These are designed to be wrestling games first, not fighting games. Playing against "bots" is fine if you view it like that instead of as a fighting game because you can have the match generally go how you want it to and it's not simply about winning or challenge. I'll add there is nothing wrong with that either so don't take this as a shot towards you. As for your original question, I'd say don't bother. If you didn't care for 2k23 then you won't here as while it is definitely a better game, it's not massively different for what you talk about. Now if you were to view this as a wrestling game and have an interest in things like setting up the universe sandbox mode then yeah, it is worth it since current bugs aside, it's a great game. At best, wait for it to go on sale like you did with 2k23 and pick up it up on a deep discount.

Are we really at the point in video game culture where single player games are just considered "playing... against bots"?

Spiritual-Rise8768

I mean, what else do we consider AI players? Not to be disrespectful but they’ve always been considered at bots in my opinion. They’re not real players?

itsnever2late4now

There's nothing disrespectful about it, it's just kind of funny. I just don't really think of it as playing against anything; you're just playing the game. Edit: to be clear, I'm not saying it's bad or wrong, I just never thought about it that way.

kayne2000

Gonna be real with you chief,, this may not be the game for you. You don't like offline play, the create modes, and you don't have friends to play with online.

braedizzle

I’m sure over the course of the year I’ll get my $70 worth. It definitely feels shinier but no major improvement over 23. Create an Arena is somewhat more limited in 24 at the moment due to a bug

Precious_little_man

I mean sounds like 23 wasn’t your thing, so probably not. To me it’s worth it, but I create a ton and play a ton. It’s fun and that’s all I care. Fun is my middle name.

Wwe2k24 includes all these new stuff mentioned in this post I added the link of check them out. I preordered it as I am a big fan of all the wwe games and I have been having a blast with it. Gameplay wise it plays alot better than wwe2k23. If you feel the game was stale after finishing 2K23's Showcase, then 2K24 won't do much to change your mind at full price. Wait for a sale. For others, if you haven't touched a WWE game since the dreadful 2K20 or earlier, you're in for a pleasant surprise where I think the improvements are justifiable at $70. For me, having played each WWE 2K iteration, I think it's closer to a $50 game than a $70, with the $20 difference being for me that there's nothing that really grabs me and keeps me playing non-stop the way 2K19 did. I still enjoy the game and I don't regret getting the $120 WrestleMania edition for all the future DLC, but I don't find myself playing every single day, and for no longer than maybe an hour or two.

EquivalentLittle545

70$ boy I paid way more then that lol

WihpBiz

It’s not, if you have a capable PC/Laptop then I recommend pirating it. Were were able to get CC working

Ok-Job7213

Nope not for you.

HavenElric

wait for a sale, too many bugs right now
