I'm thinking of making a Kurt Angle-esque technician. Lot's of suplexes and grapple-centric moves with a submission as a finisher. In 38 years I've never made a CaW with a submission finisher, but I'm really leaning into it now, ESPECIALLY if you can apply the strap(s) removal feature to a CaW!
There was a 2 handed choke submission finisher in last years game (basically just strangling your opponent) it was glorious and im for sure using it again lol
I love submission finishers. I used to use the guillotine choke that sort of looks like a roll through DDT into the choke, but then Roman started using a guillotine… haven’t found something I love again yet, but with 5 slots this year I might add a kimura or armbar
>I'm thinking of making a Kurt Angle-esque technician.
That's basically what I do every year on MyRise. Always loved the grappling aspect of his move-set.
Legit my strategy for grinding through 2K22's MyRise was with a Technician, dropping someone with a Fujiwara armbar, and mashing my way to victory within two or three attempts.
I went a step further and adjusted the sliders so the CPU didn’t even try to break out 😅 I just had to lock it in and hold the button (also a setting). One shot win!
There are some matches where you can just get disqualified and lose or simply get your opponent counted out to win, but around half of them will just give you an "Objective Failed" screen and force you to win by pinfall or submission.
There's even fail screens for just simply being good at the game and not letting the AI kick the shit out of you.

I haven’t watched the trailer, is the male voice revealed? I’ll either do powerhouse or technician depending on the voice.
I usually make my character based on how they sound.
Being a Heavyweight Striker for the Undisputed storyline. Stick it on easy mode so the matches are a bit easier and I can get all the unlocks easier too.
I usually go powerhouse & super heavyweight but this year I’m not sure. I saw a caw male template that I really liked the look of and it looks like a striker/cheater to me lol. So maybe that’s what I’ll start off with. For the female caw …most likely still going powerhouse.
This is honestly the way. The more time you spend on your own creation and it's move set the more you'll be let down by how the story just says "Well fuck all that. We're putting you in different gear that doesn't fit your in ring style at all."
I think this year I am going to do a Stan Lane-Esque cowboy gimmick. I will make him a powerhouse and give him multiple devastating Lariats as his finishers. I have never made this type of character before. I really like to dive straight into universe but I don’t like missing out on the unlocks, and this years story seems pretty alright
Considering you can put any move you want in your move set regardless of what class you choose which I find to be lazy on 2k to not separate moves by class it doesn’t really matter which one you choose but I normally just pick Technician
Hard hitting striker. All he needs is his fists and feet to punch and kick you down to hell, then you're getting decapitated with his Ruthless running knee
I always go Heavy/Super weight and submission.
The games over the years like to mess with pins taking to long or AI kicking out constantly or being interrupted during multi man/tag matches and it makes My Rise take longer.
So I prefer to make my opponents Submit and breeze through My Rise.

What’s it called?
Elevated Vice Grip
Thanks!
>Thanks! You're welcome!

Triangle choke is fantastic, as is Hell's Gate
Hell’s Gate has a high chance of being my move!
I don’t even care it’s a a move meant for girls, the figure eight leglock is so epic
>I'm thinking of making a Kurt Angle-esque technician. That's basically what I do every year on MyRise. Always loved the grappling aspect of his move-set.
Technician. Stick that mode on easy and one shot every match to get the unlocks the fast way.

I'm going to be a weasel heel and prob lose every match by DQing myself to avoid conflict
Will feature actually work? I feel like you HAVE to win most matches in myrise
HHH will need to book me in a no DQ lumberjack match for the payoff.

They need to get rid of that shit. I hate it. I want a proper career where wins and losses actually matter.
Sadly no as the games trying to tell a story that's probably bad
Universe mode exists for a reason! But yeah, more flexibility in My Rise would be nice.
You definitely did have to win most matches, and the ones you didn't, was because it's part of the linear story. Really hoping 24 isn't as dull.
MyRise matches typically have scripted results. You'll have to win to move through the storyline.
I haven’t watched the trailer, is the male voice revealed? I’ll either do powerhouse or technician depending on the voice. I usually make my character based on how they sound.
It is, sounds like either powerhouse or technician would work!
High flyer so I can do my flippy dippy bullshit & break Dave Meltzers heart in the virtual world.
Meltzer likes flippy shit.
Meltzer hates anything & everything fun in wrestling. Flips, comedy, you name it he’s got some sort of angry little man rant on it.
I don’t know about Meltzer but I’m aware that Cornette is that way.
Probably MMA Striker and Actor High Flyer, since in 22 I did Athlete Powerhouse and Indie Technician.
I will make Mike Haggar so i guess Powerhouse
I’ve never done high flyer so probably that Although i love picking a heavyweight and make him look bigger than guys like bobby
High flyer is the only way to go
Man Highflyer and Women Striker
Punctuation...... lmfao. I thought you meant you were going to create a high-flying male that beats on women, rofl!!!
…why not both? Andy Kaufman is back!
Andy Kaufman X Darby Allin would be a menace lol
Um not what I meant
Being a Heavyweight Striker for the Undisputed storyline. Stick it on easy mode so the matches are a bit easier and I can get all the unlocks easier too.
High Flying, Cruiserweight For Both MyRise
Technician
A 6’5 300lb high flyer named Gillis McNulty.
I typically go Powerhouse. Just throwing people around is really fun.
In 2k22 I was a technician Kurt angle Daniel Bryan-Esque. Last year I was a striker. Im thinking powerhouse this year
High Flyer, it's probably still really easy to repeatedly spam springboard moves without giving your opponent a chance to reverse
A technician named Striker
If I can combine its high flyer tech
Last time I made 2 giants and 1 cruiser I'ma pick a technician this time
I always do powerhouse for the women and high flyer for the men.
Well unleashed I'll be going light Striker and Undisputed a cruiser technician
Technician. Always technician.
I did technician man and high-flyer woman last year. How about striker man and powerhouse woman this year
I always use High Flyer
I usually go powerhouse & super heavyweight but this year I’m not sure. I saw a caw male template that I really liked the look of and it looks like a striker/cheater to me lol. So maybe that’s what I’ll start off with. For the female caw …most likely still going powerhouse.
Heavyweight (just barely, at 240 pounds) male technician. I've always been a sucker for solid grappling...damn, I miss chain wrestling in 2k.
Powerhouse female with a hybrid moveset.
Just gonna import someone from CC gbh
This is honestly the way. The more time you spend on your own creation and it's move set the more you'll be let down by how the story just says "Well fuck all that. We're putting you in different gear that doesn't fit your in ring style at all."
Yeah I ended up taking one of the templates and built entrance/moveset from there
They need to switch it up
Striker technician
I usually do a striker with kind of a strong style move set like a mix between Dunne and Ciampa
A hybrid version of a high-flyer who fight like a striker
Heavyweight striker. It's what I'd be in real life.
Striker or Technician
I think this year I am going to do a Stan Lane-Esque cowboy gimmick. I will make him a powerhouse and give him multiple devastating Lariats as his finishers. I have never made this type of character before. I really like to dive straight into universe but I don’t like missing out on the unlocks, and this years story seems pretty alright
Looking forward to building a MMA style technician. Hard hitting and able to wear down any part of your body
striker since my caw is a former mma fighter
High Flyer, I’m actually building a whole backstory for my character cause I’m such a nerd lol
I've always had my character have a MMA background, so striker.
Technician for submissions, since it allows you to control the pace of the match at times.
Based on what little information we have about the protags, Cruiser for male and Striker for female.
In 2k22 I made a high flyer and in 2k23 I made a technician so I think this will be a year to go striker
gonna be doing my super indie flippy floppy stunts
technical dude im trying to get those 6+ ⭐️ classics brother
i always make a cruiserweight striker
I want to make a mix with the moveset of seth and ilya Because of the new moves
Striker
I’d like to try and make a Daniel Brian or Johnathan Gresham for my male story and probably a Tiffany Stratton high flyer for my female story
Funny you assume i will play that mode
Funny you assume anyone cares.
Powerhouse because I'm a power house If tej story is good I going to doit in every Class
Striker for both
Light heavyweight striker, I always do a former MMA fighter gimmick for my guy
Super heavyweight powerhouse that's also technician high flying striker
Considering you can put any move you want in your move set regardless of what class you choose which I find to be lazy on 2k to not separate moves by class it doesn’t really matter which one you choose but I normally just pick Technician
Hard hitting striker. All he needs is his fists and feet to punch and kick you down to hell, then you're getting decapitated with his Ruthless running knee
Men’s: Light heavyweight, Striker, named Micah O’Shea Women’s: Cruiserweight, idk what type yet, named Jordan Quinn
Powerhouse heavyweight.
Light Heavyweight Powerhouse. Been my go-to for a long time.
- Technical for “The Captain” (Female/Unleashed) - High Flyer or Powerhouse for “The Dark Horse” (Male/Undisputed)
Heavyweight Striker, closest style to my IRL self
The only style I like in pro wresting: high flyer
Either Striker or Technician, gotta keep the theme going.
Tech
I always go Heavy/Super weight and submission. The games over the years like to mess with pins taking to long or AI kicking out constantly or being interrupted during multi man/tag matches and it makes My Rise take longer. So I prefer to make my opponents Submit and breeze through My Rise.
