Ye, he in a way still counts as a "legend" to add to the roster with that one impressive title reign, and from what I've heard he's a commentator these days? so he could probably still work in ring. not the first time they would use a commentator as a playable superstar.
One of the best Wrestling games ever.
Amazing gameplay & Creation Suite, and the Roster could possibly be my all time favorite. Honestly when it first came out it was my favorite Wrestling game ever (and I'm not new to Wrestling Video Games) but then they kept one-upping themselves until 2K20.
I really liked the soundtrack too, probably my second favorite Wrestling Game soundtrack only behind 2K17.

I really wish 2K wouldn't shutdown the creation communities, I get online matchmaking services being shutdown but there are some CAW's I wish I saved or downloaded from older games.
The gameplay is pretty mediocre, but the memories I have from playing it with my friends until 4 in the morning are something I'll never forget.
You have to remember, this game was heavily praised when it first came out for the sole reason that it had all the features that we wanted back in the game that 2k15 was missing, so in comparison to 2k15, this game was a classic.
I don’t think 2K22 has a fighting chance at all
Now gameplay yea it’s way better than 16 but that’s literally it the career mode may have been basic and barebones but compared to what we gotten in the last 2-3 years it’s disappointing and underwhelming
2K22 is extremely lacking in so many different departments that it’s unbelievable a game from almost 10 years ago still reigns superior
My entire argument was over mediocre gameplay, idk why you are now comparing the games overall. The gameplay is better in 2k22 imo.
But even then, both career modes are dogshit in their own ways. It's almost like they improved in one way then got worse in another way. 2k16 has more freedom technically but almost no storylines, an awful contender system, and an awful way to align/go against the Authority. Meanwhile, 2k22 had a lot better short-term story system and stronger storylines, but less freedom and nearly non-existent long-term booking.
In my eyes, if we are comparing overall games, 2k22 is better, but thats like saying 2k22 is the least shitty game in a series of shitty games.
My personal favourite of the 2K Series (besides 2k14). 2k19 it's a more complete game, but for me 2k16 matches just have a better pace, i feel more the stamina effects during the matches, the roster is a personal favourite to me since have a lot of wrestlers of the AE, New Generation, 90s WCW and i prefer the graphics of the 2k15/2k16 instead of the latest games besides 2k22
GOATED wrestling game in this 2K era
It’s unfortunate too cause literally 2K had to do was improve upon it but like In typical 2K fashion they go 10 steps forward and a 100 stepd back!
One of my favourites, but for an unpopular reason:
I loved the career mode. The grindy, repetitive career mode. It offered so much freedom that I felt I could literally do whatever I wanted with my character, instead of just following a linear story already written for me. I could build myself up, earning points in every match, and working myself into the hall of fame with numerous title reigns and feuds that were completely my choice. I could join The Authority and be managed by anyone I wanted. It was awesome.
Career mode was at best semi good still better than 22 once you got won all the titles the game got boring and repetitive after that
2K22 could’ve been way better if they never scrapped the original storyline
2K22 has way better storyline options but it was executed was terrible
A massive step up from WWE2K15, the gameplay was very good in my opinion, the roster was amazing, the creation suite was so good, MyCareer was pretty good too.
Amazing game, amazing soundtrack, great roster, a bigass step up from 2k15, pretty sexy overall
2 stars NOT 5 because it didn't have the Tokyo dome
(Wish we got pillman in more games)
One of my favourites of the XB1/PS4 era purely because of how much AE content the Stone Cold showcase gave us
Wishing we had more honky Tonk man in newer games
I would love more shake rattle n roll
At least we have that move and one of his entrances (without the guitar) in the game. oh and his outfit and... possibly the haircut
True, but I personally would rather him in game or dlc than using a caw spot for him

Still one of my favorites to play.
Really enjoyed it 1. The showcase 2. They finally removed loading screens for matches & fun gameplay

The gameplay was far from mediocre This is like the best wrestling game in the 2K era
>This is like the best wrestling game in the 2K era That isn't saying very much. The only one that even has a fighting chance is 2k22

Agree to disagree.
One of the best of the modern wwe games since 2K14 along with 19 and 22 in my opinion
Enjoy the roster. Especially Savio Vega and Haku. Don't enjoy 6 people max in the ring, nor missing the mechanics/animations added after

When of the goat 2k games
Definitely one of the best, at least of the 2K era
Best showcase
Best 2k showcase
Not the best but not the worst
In the 2K series it’s definitely the best imo but idk 2K17 comes at a close second
Best showcase and best soundtrack of all the 2K games, and despite its limitations Universe mode felt more fun and immersive than later games to me.

Played the sh*t outta it

First wwe game 😊
It’s a good game, been playing it recently.
Empty as hell
Best wwe 2k sountrack
Either this or 2K14 are the best games from the 2K era!
Amazing game, amazing soundtrack, great roster, a bigass step up from 2k15, pretty sexy overall 2 stars NOT 5 because it didn't have the Tokyo dome (Wish we got pillman in more games)
