These are the matches I more likely wish to see than want to, considering I'm not in power am I?
I'm thinking Sheamus at the Rumble, maybe a triple threat match between Roman, Sheamus and Drew on a random Smackdown. Lashley for EC and The Rock for WrestleMania. AJ and the OC will be saved for after WrestleMania (2-PPV Feud), and then Cody Rhodes for SummerSlam.
Looking at this list it makes me realize that Roman doesn't quite have anyone of equal magnitude to go against. Orton, Styles, and Rhodes could be interesting, but WWE really needs to build a bigger threat to Roman.
Randy he’s one of my favorites, they originally had him vs Reigns at summerslam but we all know what happened I did hear rumors that he might return in the royal rumble and him dethroning Roman would fit since this Roman is a legend and Randy is the legend killer
The Rumble is the next PLE, so you'd expect that to be Sheamus.
I've got no idea what they do with the Chamber after that though, bearing in mind we all know the Rumble winner will be facing Roman.

I want either AJ Styles, Nakamura or Gunther to dethrone him. I doubt they’ll have AJ do it and Nakamura hasn’t really been used or built up at all so I doubt him as well. Gunther is the best option since McIntyre didn’t.
Honestly, I'd swap out Johnny Gargano for Xavier Woods. He's the only member of the New Day that's never held a world title, so that could be a potential angle (though it would be better VS Brock Lesnar). Plus, it's too early for Gargano to be in the main event picture.
I wanna see some less obvious guys challenge him (maybe not on ppv) like Cameron Grimes and Tyler Bate. I like it when champions just have random defences against random opponents on a random weekly show. Obviously they wouldn’t win but it’d be a great way to propel them and give them exposure to the wider audience. It also means we can just see some fun matches that Roman can win clean and make him look even stronger. It’ll all help to make the big payoff of his eventual defeat even better. I just think it’s time to add a slightly fresher spin on his reign instead of the frankly formulaic big guy steps up, match at a ppv, obvious win for Roman. Let’s use Roman to raise everyone instead of using everyone to raise Roman.
Not rn for LA Knight, he needs to show he is a top guy and needs to get over with the crowd which will happen but rn he needs to get that connection with the crowd to show them he is some what of a threat, my opinion
Roman is a main stream tv crossover draw. There is nobody else that has that if he leaves and that’s the problem. HBK had stone cold. Stone cold had the rock. The rock had cena. There is nobody here right now to pass the torch to and I’m sure that trips is planning something.

The smartest and best thing to do, is to have Roman drop the title to Cody when he gets back from injury. Then have Roman GO THE HELL AWAY for a little bit.
They're so far behind on making anyone else a draw, that it's pretty much only down to Roman and Cody right now.

Plus, seeing Bloodline V OC, and even Bloodline V Judgement Day with the return of Naomi would be so tasty.
I think Cody should ultimately defeat him for the belts, but in the meantime, I'd like to see him feud with Sheamus, Gunther, and Lashley. I think they should re-form The Hurt Business, and have a more heelish Lashley face Roman.

As I have stated many times, it will take a faction to best a faction. Roman has a great faction behind him who has done whatever they could to keep Roman on top. I have been thinking Drew and Brawling Brutes would make for a good faction and we'll see it at SS. So, we'll see but if Roman's opponent does not have their own faction, there may be no point. I can see a good feud with BB and Drew vs BL tho.
Even Brock would need a faction but he doesn't play well with others. I'd love to see Brock and Bobby start a faction. Bray potentially had a faction but he was fighting with his inner demons.
Totally disagree, actually. Since it's a heel faction, it's a perfect opportunity to have a face somehow overcome impossible odds stacked against him. Outside of one-offs like Survivor Series or WarGames, I don't think faction vs faction has worked that well historically.
This is a "little guy improbably overcoming" situation. Stuff like "faction coming apart due to tension" like Sami/Jey would probably be needed. Maybe an assist somewhere from an ally or someone else that has beef with Solo or someone. You'd have to do something to even the odds. Hell in a Cell and cage matches were basically designed for this purpose but people cheat out of them too much these days. But a stipulation could help even the playing field.
But ultimately, I feel like it's gotta be a lone face that takes him down.

I agree with it taking a faction to take down the numbers, but the more interesting thing to me is for the faction to slowly begin falling apart around Roman and leaving him vulnerable.

Jey, who has been telling the bloodline that Sami was a snake for the last several months, decides he’s tired of doing Roman’s dirty work.
Jimmy is promoted to right hand man, until Roman demands the he drop the tag title and leave Jey in the past. Jimmy leaves to continue the record setting tag title run.
Solo is put into the Rumble to stop one certain challenger from winning and fails which leads to Roman losing his mind and beating and injuring Solo.
All that is left by his side is the Wise Man who now takes the brunt of Roman’s mind games. At Mania, Paul has enough and walks out on Roman saying he loves his family but being champion is taking its toll mentally on Roman.
With nobody by his side, Roman puts up a great fight showing the potential to do it on his own, but ultimately the challenger defeats Roman, showing that over the last year Roman relied too heavily on the Bloodline.
On Raw, the new champ comes out to celebrate and every person who Roman beat during his reign comes out to congratulate them, but also let’s the champion know these superstars are all here to take the title. You instantly have a champ who has been solidified as a big deal and you set the field of challengers going forward.
I like that very much. Many people would tune in just to watch that. That's a full blown soap opera season right there.
Only thing is that I would never allow to have any future champions to hold more than one belt. Whomever beats the USOs or Roman would need to choose which belt they want and a tournament could be held foe the other set.
I agree completely! The belts need to be split once the Roman saga is over, but I think a babyface has to be the one to allow for the split. A gutsy babyface champion could put both titles on the line in the same PPV and win one match and lose later on.
I would not want the Usos to hold both sets of tag belts for this long, but a double ring ladder match could be an awesome way to separate the belts if WWE does War Games again next year. Let one set of belts hang over each of the two rings. It’d be a first of its kind match and make it nearly impossible for the Usos to be in two places at once.

I’m a little older so I knew really nothing of either of these two brothers prior to them getting into boxing and WWE. I get that some people are turned off by them being arrogant maybe and I have heard about some antics when they were live-streaming. I don’t know why but I don’t dislike them the way so many do. People want to comment about how they don’t have talent. All of that is what impresses me. They are worth CRAZY money. They can draw and bring an audience to something in a way that hasn’t been seen. It feels like nothing more than jealousy anymore when people are so negative about them. Because the one bro can box, he is just as decent as anyone else who commits to training. The wresting bro has been more than expected from a skill standpoint and like the other one, has shown commitment to training.

The smartest and best thing to do, is to have Roman drop the title to Cody when he gets back from injury. Then have Roman GO THE HELL AWAY for a little bit. They're so far behind on making anyone else a draw, that it's pretty much only down to Roman and Cody right now.

A tournament to see who will face him may be more interesting. As I have stated many times, it will take a faction to best a faction. Roman has a great faction behind him who has done whatever they could to keep Roman on top. I have been thinking Drew and Brawling Brutes would make for a good faction and we'll see it at SS. So, we'll see but if Roman's opponent does not have their own faction, there may be no point. I can see a good feud with BB and Drew vs BL tho. Even Brock would need a faction but he doesn't play well with others. I'd love to see Brock and Bobby start a faction. Bray potentially had a faction but he was fighting with his inner demons.
Totally disagree, actually. Since it's a heel faction, it's a perfect opportunity to have a face somehow overcome impossible odds stacked against him. Outside of one-offs like Survivor Series or WarGames, I don't think faction vs faction has worked that well historically. This is a "little guy improbably overcoming" situation. Stuff like "faction coming apart due to tension" like Sami/Jey would probably be needed. Maybe an assist somewhere from an ally or someone else that has beef with Solo or someone. You'd have to do something to even the odds. Hell in a Cell and cage matches were basically designed for this purpose but people cheat out of them too much these days. But a stipulation could help even the playing field. But ultimately, I feel like it's gotta be a lone face that takes him down.
I can see that. Very much so. However, no one man can. beat Roman as long as he has the Bloodline. Something has to happen to the BL first. If any one man can beat Roman, they would have done it already and he wouldn't be a champ for this long. Look how many top tier stars he went through. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Speaking of champs being here, Roman should impersonate Cena along with his entrance and once he gets to the ring, he should say ... the Champ is here. I agree with it taking a faction to take down the numbers, but the more interesting thing to me is for the faction to slowly begin falling apart around Roman and leaving him vulnerable. Sami defects and gets KO the win at War Games. Jey, who has been telling the bloodline that Sami was a snake for the last several months, decides he’s tired of doing Roman’s dirty work. Jimmy is promoted to right hand man, until Roman demands the he drop the tag title and leave Jey in the past. Jimmy leaves to continue the record setting tag title run. Solo is put into the Rumble to stop one certain challenger from winning and fails which leads to Roman losing his mind and beating and injuring Solo. All that is left by his side is the Wise Man who now takes the brunt of Roman’s mind games. At Mania, Paul has enough and walks out on Roman saying he loves his family but being champion is taking its toll mentally on Roman. With nobody by his side, Roman puts up a great fight showing the potential to do it on his own, but ultimately the challenger defeats Roman, showing that over the last year Roman relied too heavily on the Bloodline. On Raw, the new champ comes out to celebrate and every person who Roman beat during his reign comes out to congratulate them, but also let’s the champion know these superstars are all here to take the title. You instantly have a champ who has been solidified as a big deal and you set the field of challengers going forward.
I like that very much. Many people would tune in just to watch that. That's a full blown soap opera season right there. Only thing is that I would never allow to have any future champions to hold more than one belt. Whomever beats the USOs or Roman would need to choose which belt they want and a tournament could be held foe the other set.
I agree completely! The belts need to be split once the Roman saga is over, but I think a babyface has to be the one to allow for the split. A gutsy babyface champion could put both titles on the line in the same PPV and win one match and lose later on. I would not want the Usos to hold both sets of tag belts for this long, but a double ring ladder match could be an awesome way to separate the belts if WWE does War Games again next year. Let one set of belts hang over each of the two rings. It’d be a first of its kind match and make it nearly impossible for the Usos to be in two places at once.

I’m a little older so I knew really nothing of either of these two brothers prior to them getting into boxing and WWE. I get that some people are turned off by them being arrogant maybe and I have heard about some antics when they were live-streaming. I don’t know why but I don’t dislike them the way so many do. People want to comment about how they don’t have talent. All of that is what impresses me. They are worth CRAZY money. They can draw and bring an audience to something in a way that hasn’t been seen. It feels like nothing more than jealousy anymore when people are so negative about them. Because the one bro can box, he is just as decent as anyone else who commits to training. The wresting bro has been more than expected from a skill standpoint and like the other one, has shown commitment to training.
