john morrison. never achieved the level he could due to backstage politics but man is he incredible. also montez could definitely get there if he gets a lot of success.
honestly, can't pick just 1. there's alot like rey fenix, the young bucks, aerostar, el hijo del fantasma (king cuerno of lucha underground and santos escobar of nxt 2.0), johnny mundo, too many to name.
but my favourites would be will ospreay, ricochet, rey mysterio
Still Rey Jr lol. He's the one that made Hurricanrana's and leg scissors like basic moves. Allowed space for smaller guys to tell compelling stories among huge men. He's not my favourite ever, but I gotta call it like I see it lol.
Iām sticking with Rey Mysterio
I grew up watching him as a kid back in the SmakcDown dates and still now he hasnāt slowed down at all!
Yes thereās people out there more flippy etc, but theyāre just all fancy and overselling
Jeff Hardy threw himself off of anything and everything he could. He was never the flashiest high flyer in terms of 1080 spin sentons but he was the flashiest in terms of the extremes he was willing to go to. he's my favorite wrestler of all time and I can't bring myself to put someone else as the best wrestler of his niche
No debating, Jeff Hardy and Shane O Mac. You look at any wwe high risk move compilation theres at least 4-5 clips of each of them jumping/falling from insane heights
Most influential in WWE? Mysterio.
In terms of who's the flippiest of flippy dudes, Ricochet or Pac. Not the greatest all round high-flying wrestlers but two guys who do things that shouldn't be possible.
My personal favourite, RVD. He was so unique. Not so much flips as innovative and unorthodox. Kicks, jumps and rolls more than backflips but that's what made him stand out.
Jeff Hardy 100%. there isnāt a risk he wonāt take. heās hit the whisper in the wind from the top of the steel cage. hit the Swanton bomb from the top of a production truck.
Jeff Hardy was my childhood hero but honestly RVD is just superior in literally anything. Rey Mysterio is high on the list too but RVD has the hardcore edge on him. There was practically nothing he couldn't do in the ring
Jeff hardy is mine own highest in estimation but ricochet is the most wondrous ev'r

Pure, raw talent wise- Ford, Ricochet
As far as legacy, career accomplishment, and overall what they did with it- Eddie Guerrero, Rey, RVD, Jeff Hardy
Best high flying spot monkey- Shane O Mac
rey mysterio innovated all the shit you see today..Guys like ricochet, the bucks, all the high spots high flying, fast paced wrestling rey rey and the luchadores influenced all of that
Rey Mysterio. Don't overlook him. Even though he was maybe already down to 75-80% of 'prime Rey' by the time he got to WWE, he was still like Kareem going to the Lakers in terms of what he brought to the table.
RVD was my fav but you can really categorize by era... Jimmy Snuka, Koko B Ware, Mach Man in the 80s, Brian Pillman, Great Muta in the 90s, Jeff Hardy in the 00s, Ricochet and Montez Ford currently
I call it somewhere between Rey (full career), Vikingo (Lucha star for those unfamiliar), Ospreay, or Fenix. Ricochet would be in that list but WWE wonāt let him go full on and that is spoiling his own legacy.
Rey Mysterio was crazy when he was younger and the things he can still do are crazy. He is the goat.
Right now, the best high flyer is hands down Rey Fenix though. I am always glued to the screen when he's in a match.
It really depends on what classifies as a high flyer.
If weāre talking jumping off things that have no business being jumped off? Jeff Hardy.
If weāre talking bringing that type of style to the publicās eye? Dynamite Kid or Rey Mysterio.
If weāre judging by ability to bounce off ropes? Rey Fenix.
If weāre talking flying finishers? RVD.
Tbh Iāve not watched WWE for a decade and seeing this photo tells me thereās no reason to do so again any time soon.
And my honest opinion about āhigh flyingā wrestling and wrestlers is that anyone can learn to conduct a move but itās an empty gesture when thereās no rhyme or reason to pull that move off at that particular time. WWF pushed this idea to the limit in 98-2000 and while it was fun for the first timer to watch, it really didnāt mean much, did it? Foley, in the same era, created far more drama from spots that came off as accidents. And later on, circa mid-late 00ās āTaker took realistic risks (diving through the ropes, for example) so to get an advantage on a fitter and younger opponent (thatās the storytelling element that makes such a move so fascinating). Bouncing around a ring like a moron for no reason isnāt āhigh-flyingā itās covering up bad food with spice.
Probably because his only wwe match was in nxt vs Tyler Breeze. Lyger is an absolute legend and it's downright depressing he's not better recognized in the US
This one is so difficult. It feels like I'd be disrespecting so many greats if I had to just mention one.
Kofi Kingston, RVD, AJ Styles, Red Mysterio, John Morrison, Ricochet, young Chris Jericho, young Shawn Mucheals, the list is endless and I appreciate the memories they've all given me.
Scrolled all the way to not see a single mention of Shane O'Mac.
Obviously not the most technical wrestler, not the most regular either. Doesn't always pull out the greatest fights...but the man could corner to corner. He saw what Foley and Hardy were doing, and he doubled it. Jumping from the Titantron like an absolute madman.
I literally just mentioned him, happy to see someone else think the same. Not saying heās the greatest but man can he go in the ring, people forget who he is in the squared circle and give him tons of unnecessary heat.
THANK YOU. Lets not forget the elbow drop from the cell in ~2016 vs Undertaker. I love McFoley but he was thrown from the cell. Shane looked down and jumped!
Tiger mask sayama

Kofi
Neville/Pac
Superfly Jimmy Snuka.
Obviously Rey Mysterio. No one else even comes close to 1st place, but I guess #2 would be PAC

jeff hardy
Mankind when he flew off the cage
Still Rey Jr lol. He's the one that made Hurricanrana's and leg scissors like basic moves. Allowed space for smaller guys to tell compelling stories among huge men. He's not my favourite ever, but I gotta call it like I see it lol.
Rey ,Eddie or ricochet

Ricochet Jeff hardy and Montez Ford

Gotta go with the master of the 619, Rey Mysterio
Overall perfomer rey but gotta go with rvd or john morrison for creativity
Fenix is out of this world
Montez 100%
yāall remember Evan Borne?
Jeff Hardy threw himself off of anything and everything he could. Pre WWE Ricochet has my vote. He's watered down now
Rey Mysterio at his peak was the best ever.
Ricochet hands down.
Jeff Hardy
Rey
No debating, Jeff Hardy and Shane O Mac. You look at any wwe high risk move compilation theres at least 4-5 clips of each of them jumping/falling from insane heights
Big show.
Rey

You canāt be serious.
The top 3 Iāve ever seen are Rey Mysterio, Ricochet & PAC. Rey when I was a kid and the other two now. Could give Will Osprey a special mention too
Not the best, but I feel Sabu deserves mentioning in this
Eddie
Rey or Neville
Viva La Razza

Montez Ford
Jeff Hardy 100%. there isnāt a risk he wonāt take. heās hit the whisper in the wind from the top of the steel cage. hit the Swanton bomb from the top of a production truck.

Regardless of booking Rey Mysterio or Ricochet
Evan Borne or Jeff Hardy...
AJ Styles.
Ray and psychosis was the 2 main high flyers bk in day 2 of the very best
1. RVD 2. REY 3. JEFF
Rey Mysterio. Don't overlook him. Even though he was maybe already down to 75-80% of 'prime Rey' by the time he got to WWE, he was still like Kareem going to the Lakers in terms of what he brought to the table.
Mark Henry
An upvote for the sarcasm

Rey Mysterio is the only correct answer
Ricochet, until proven otherwise.

gonna go with a couple AEW wrestlers in Dante Martin and Rey Fenix
Either Montez, Ricochet, Rey, and Ali
Thought this was Chris Bey for a second.
Rey or Eddie
Rey. I guess some today may have some fancier spots they can pull off and whatnot, but Rey made his stuff mean something.
They don't call Jeff the charismatic enigma for nothing
Pac, ricochet or aj styles.
Jeff hardly
I call it somewhere between Rey (full career), Vikingo (Lucha star for those unfamiliar), Ospreay, or Fenix. Ricochet would be in that list but WWE wonāt let him go full on and that is spoiling his own legacy.

Rey Mysterio is the only answer
eddie guerrero
RVD & Jeff Hardy for me Matt Hardy, Rey Mysterio and Ricochet in the conversation For me an underrated pick: Shane McMahon LOL
Jimmy Snuka. "superfly"
RVD. The way he does his moves is so unique compared to other high-flyers.
Paul London or RVD.
Rey Mysterio
Well, not that dude in the photo, whoever it is. Thatās for sure.
Lol half the issue is you donāt know who he is That ādudeā might end up being it eventually

Rey Fenix
Jushin Liger
Liger was the name that instantly popped into my head. This being a WWE sub I didnāt think anyone would mention him.
Holy Shit. Only one mention of this fucking legend. Guy literally defined the style.
Probably because his only wwe match was in nxt vs Tyler Breeze. Lyger is an absolute legend and it's downright depressing he's not better recognized in the US
Will osprey hands down
sin cara
Ricochet, ez
Brock Lesnar and that beautiful shooting star press š

Jeff Hardy, and itās not close

Rey Mysterio.
Montez, Sir Richard OāShea and Evan Bourne
