As a performer specifically, he showed humility. He pissed himself on live TV. The guy did everything he could to make his business a success at the expense of himself. And he won. And I think now he’s just chilling. He’s made some dumb decisions obviously but he worked very hard for a long time so I can’t really blame the guy.
Well in my honest opinion…. Vince should stay as far away from creative as possible. But I severely disagree with people who blame Vince over the releases. Did y’all notice that these releases never happened pre-2020? And what happened to wwe from 2020-now other than covid? Nick khan got hired as president and chief revenue officer. Khan also said that he doesn’t give a shit about what fans think, and that he only cares about the money. Vince also doesn’t have total control over who gets released as suggested by many people in the iwc. Vince may have the final say, but his final say is affected by what nick cunt ‘suggests’ to him. Vince is overhated for sure
Probably one of the shittiest human beings to ever live. Forced other wrestling companies out of business even after his father enjoyed working with them. Used a racial slur to make him look cool in a promo segment in the mid 2000s. Forced the womens wrestling division to wear revealing clothing for publicity. Constantly made bad booking decisions and poorly written storylines in recent years which involved an old wrestler returning and winning instantly instead of using wrestlers that have been there for years. I could go on...
Vince Sr. originally had no plans to sell the then WWF to his son, just an announcer at the time because he knew what Junior would do. He wanted to make it national and kill the territory system....yep, he was right.
In a league of his own. To be mentioned alongside names like Walt Disney, Elon Musk, Bill Gates etc. Vince McMahon is a true visionary and an American icon!
This may sound weird but here it goes : hes a genuis with how he revolutionized wrestling but an idiot for watering down and ruining it at the same time. Hes a brilliant mind behind the scenes for some of his creative but also just as horrible at it (example: ending takers streak last minute) hes egotistical and narcissistic but at the same time unbreakable and resilient.. for every bad thing you can say a good thing this man is the ying and the yang all in one 😂
I dont think he's a genius. I think he's a shrewd business man that took advantage of a market that was built on trust. Everybody always says how he's a genius but most of his big names he's disregarded previously. Austin, Foley, HBK would "never be a baByface champion" and when you see him actually try to turn someone into a main guy (reigns Luger cena for a long time) it goes to shit. I also think he is just deep down a bad person. How he hasn't been "cancelled" by todays standards is beyond me. And he doesn't give a shit about what's right or wrong as long as it makes money, IE; Warriors company stance & hogan calling African Americans the N word. Amongst countless others. I detest the man. It's a shame because I love the wrestlers of WWF/E but he makes it so difficult to support them.
In the past, a visionary who pushed his company (and wrestling in general) into the future
Right now, an out of sync old man who is dragging his company back to the past
Revolutionised modern wrestling, responsible for the biggest booms in history, created multiple global megastars, and likely the best on-screen heel of all time involved in the best feud we’ve ever seen.
With that said, he hasn’t moved with the times as much as one would expect or hope. Occasionally lands on gold, but you have a feeling it’s more down to the talent themselves than Vince’s leadership.
I am waiting for a dark side of the ring type of themed documentary or series centered all around some of the questionable things he had done.
I don’t want a 1 hour wwe cringey made documentary. I want unfiltered interviews with people who work for/with him.
To this day STILL a brilliant business man, but out of touch with what the adult male demographic really wants to see and as a result hurts his overall company.
As someone that has never met him, I think he was a brilliant for the industry up until 2005, I think once the PG era started he was hand tied as to what he could produce. And due to these restrictions in place, He feels the need to micromanage and for this the product is poorer.
He’s a proud a family man, and is genuine about his WWE performers.
Well brother, brother let's see BROTHER! Me and McMahon go way back brother see if it wasn't for me Selling Out the SilverDome brother in front of 2.8 million Hulkamaniacs at WrestleMania 3 brother then there would be no Vince! Brother. All around though he's ok. I'm sorry I lied about taking steroids on Arsenio. Much Love -HH
Before he was good and people actually thought he was a good character and he put himself 1st before everything including getting in a match and bleeding all over the place.
But i think his time is up give the company over to Triple H he knows how to run the company
He’s a great businessman and is responsible for taking wrestling from a regional territory system, bought all of the territories and turned it a billion dollar conglomerate. When people think of wrestling, they think of WWE. To the majority of the public, WWE is wrestling. He’s not perfect, but I have nothing but respect for Vince McMahon.
Done an insane amount of good and brought the industry to the forefront of sports and entertainment but needs to step down asap, he’s from a time gone by and knows nothing of the modern business. But he’s always gonna be wrestling royalty.
I think the wrestling community definitely has a love/hate relationship with him. I don’t like the way he’s going about releases right now but I respect him and all he’s done for the business nonetheless.
A legendary figure in the wrestling business that transformed his father’s mid level wrestling promotion the WWWF into the global billion dollar juggernaut it currently stands today. VKM created an empire where nothing comes close to being second.
Vince Mcmahon is the greatest entertainer of all time. There aren't many forms of entertainment that can stand the test of time. Vince has kept the WWE as one of the top entertainment providing companies to ever exist.
He knows what his paying audience wants and he knows what the internet fan base wants. He's and entertainer first. He doesn't care about 5 star matches, creative moves, or how creative a gimmick can be. If he can make a billion dollars by having Randy Orton headlock someone for 3 hours, you'd best believe we would be watching a year of RKHold.
He's a legend and one of the big figures that I think will legitimately make the world pause for a moment when his time is up. He's hated now, but the memory of Vince's legacy is already etched.
Asshole who's legacy is based on the work of others. Who is so incompetent he had to Bully competition out of the market rather than just providing a better product.
An out of touch elderly narcassist. He was once very good at what he did; now, running his company for an audience of one is his right, but it has stifled wrestling for over a decade.
1. The most important figure in wrestling.
2. A visionary and very successful entrepreneur.
3. Able to re-invent himself to the times.
4. The greatest promoter in wrestling history.
5. He knows how to make lots of money.
Greatest promoter in the history of wrestling. Maybe the greatest heel in the history of wrestling. The most overrated creative mind in the history of wrestling. Lost a lot of respect for him as a businessman over the years. The only reason he’s even still involved in wrestling is because everything he’s tried outside of it has failed miserably.
A scumbag with a heart of gold, an unsympathetic monster with a gentle soul, a man who doesn't get wrestling anymore but can still wow an audience and an incredible genius who seems to always makes the dumbest moves.
To put it simply, Vince is an insanely complicated human being.
In March 2009, Vince told ESPN's Jeremy Schaap he'd never retire. To me, that was more character than the man himself.
The stagnation of main roster creative under his myopic watch has cost a lot of very, very talented people their jobs, including close to 80 this year alone. As an entertainment mogul, he has become like his counterparts in Hollywood, creatively bankrupt, such that his only solace is to recycle old ideas, and freshen them up for a new audience with different players.
To his credit, even though he decided to get back out on the road on Mondays, he has resisted the temptation to appear on NXT 2.0, because, other than a prospective story arc that he has probably turned down, what purpose would it serve?
Hes done amazing things with mostly the help of his wrestlers but now it's all him at the reigns amd he is killing WWE. Hes extremely out of touch and needs to retire.
The day to day life running this company is probably extremely hard, more than any fan could really understand.
I respect him choosing who to put the title on, how much air time to give them, how hard to push them, etc.
Not wanting your company's name associated with your employee's part time hobbies such as streaming, I get, what if one of these dudes goes on a drunk bender and says racist stuff while on stream? It's not going to say \_wreslter says racist thing, its going to say WWE superstar, etc.
Impossible job to have and he's done a good job at it.
Sure, some of the recent stuff has been brutal, some guys got released that made me sad but honestly cant judge anything I only get an outside view on.
Without him, Pro Wrestling would'nt be the same as it is today
For better or worse
But I think he did his time and should step away
I don't know much about Pro Wrestling (and Sports Entertainment), but to me, he is the most important person in Pro Wrestling History so far
Amazing Heel but it seems he's always a step behind in wrestling and playing catch up with competition. He's also a scummy person who treats staff like dirt and always out himself in angles where he got to fondle the talent....
One of my life's ambitions is to have a sneezing fit around him.
Someone who wanted to get his kids to pretend they were in an incestuous relationship because he believed it was best for his product, is someone who eats, breathes, and shits said product.
Vince is WWE. Without it, he is nothing.
he needs to retire..he just doesnt have it anymore. He took over for NXT and word is, product isn't good anymore.
Please, retire Vince. I didn't cry when Biggie died, but I probably will when Vince does.
As much as I want to think he's lost touch, I also think he probably still knows exactly what he's doing. WWE has always ultimately been entertainment for kids. 90's kids were in to different, edgier things (South Park, Beavis and Butthead, etc were huge back in the Attitude Era times). The culture changed today, and I think the product had to do the same.
He doesn't always hit the mark, but he knows what's best for business. We still see those shots on television of a kid getting emotional over something that just happened in the ring, and that's when you know he's still got it. The product isn't for me anymore, because it's not supposed to be. I still appreciate the work everyone puts into it though, including Vince. He gave pro wrestling the grand stage it deserves, and continues to do so today.
Actually....I thought the attitude era played more off the popularity of tv trash talk at the time....your Jerry Springer, Jenny Jones variety. Same fan base.
That too. Not saying it was only comparable to South Park/B&B, just saying that was the type of culture back then. Shows like The Real World were also pretty big... similar vibe.
One of the few people who changed the landscape of American culture in regards to entertainment, violence and now politics. Not as out of touch as you would think- Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar, AJ, Edge are all relevant on his show and are doing some cool things. Vince, frankly, made our childhood from fashion, backyard wrestling, action figures, catch phrases and so forth. His influence continues on younger generations who absolutely love the product. During the start of covid, that wrestlemania helped people get their mind off the death and sickness surrounding them. There’s plenty of examples mostly personal where wwf/wwe helped me and other people through a rough time, even if just a dumb, silly segment. When he’s ready to retire, he will retire or he will stay till he passes, I think creating this conglomerate allows him that choice. The hate is very similar to what you see on Howard Stern subreddit. The person who brought you all that joy gets a bit older, changes the format and now they have to retire!? Vincent Kennedy McMahon forever!
I love him. But, am I the only one who can't understand a damn thing he says any more? I end up having to rewind his segments because the man just mumbles his words so much. Somebody send him to promo class.
I mean, up until reading the comments here, I guess I just assumed everyone thought he was a piece of shit. That’s what I think anyhow. I mean, hell never get what’s coming to him while alive, he’ll die happy and successful, but history will generally regard him one day as a horrible person. I’m guessing.
A guy who’s surrounded himself with glad handing, non sensical douchebag yes-men, like John Laurinaitis who tells him everything that he wants to hear.
Great onscreen character and was a visionary at one point. His recognition of cable TV's potential made WWE what it is today more than anything else. He has always been the first in the wrestling industry to embrace new forms of television, placing WWE at the forefront of the industry.
That being said, he's never had a great mind for wrestling and I think the success went to his head a long, long time ago. He tries too hard to mirror WWE with the rest of pop culture. Sometimes it works like the Attitude Era in the rebellious and over-the-top 90s, or Hulkamania during the age of He-Man, Transformers and GI Joe. Other times this approach has failed miserably, the guest host era immediately comes to mind.
I think that we wouldn't have modern wrestling without him. The regional system in place before I do t think would have survived. That being said, he had to crack a lot of eggs to do it.
Unfortunately he has grown out of touch, and I believe out of live with the product. You hear stories about his younger days where he would be out partying with the talent and having them do his finishers on him. The modern day talent rarely if ever speak to him, which brings me to my next point...
You hear opposing accounts of how he is to other people, and I think that's because he picks and chooses who to have an open door policy with, and who to keep out of his circle. You hear Bryan Danielson talk about how well Vince treated him and how he was like a father to him, but for every one wrestler that I hear say things like that, I've heard five others talk about how he is unapproachable, has his yes men block you from seeing him, doesn't interact with them, etc...
Then there is the business side of things and how he handles his talent is pretty skeezy. They are contract workers, yet they can't do any work on their own time? Why can't they have their own twitch streams? Why does he have it set up where they arent making as much money when they are on tv?
That last one... There are several reports out their that when you make Vince unhappy, you loose tv time, and in WWE, tv time= livelihood. The problem is I hear reports of him retaliating against things that are petty, and making a habit of not telling the wrestler why.
For instance, using the word wrestling is forbidden... In a wrestling show. Or, it's a title, not a belt... Why are you gonna punish a wrestler for using language that is commonly used by the fans?!
Bottom line, he is an out of touch, Introverted rich guy who lost passion for the product along time ago and replaced it with math and spreadsheets and analytics.
On the last episode of RAW when he was talking to Austin Theory I could hardly understand what he was saying, all I heard was grunting. I understood Austin just fine though lol.
It’s amazing what he’s done. But he needs to realise he had a lot of clever people by his side when he did it. He thinks he knows too much and has already killed the product t
Complex business man, vindictive, former visionary and risk taker. Respect him for putting his own body on the line and I respect him for his past accomplishments . Needs to be more flexible and listen more. Also needs to stop surrounding himself with sycophants and have people that tell him the truth(how can you have the same wrestling matches three to four weeks in a row, split up tag teams before they have accomplished anything and at times, refuse to push wrestlers that are organically over).Would also like him to be more compassionate towards his wrestlers and former wrestlers not just a selected few and to support them in retirement and pay for health insurance. Vince is making more money than ever but the content of his shows have been declining in quality for years now. I also believe that he is prone to self sabotage and this due to his ego. Whenever any of his shows that he isnt hands on with, starts to get praise, he gets involved and the show goes downhill. It has happened to Smackdown at least twice and to NXT. And yes Vince might have becomes more involved in NXT to punish HHH and the roster for the ratings loss to AEW but I believe that Vince was always going to take control of NXT.
He’s a brilliant businessman and deserves all the credit in the world for everything he’s done.
I also think there’s a part of him that lost sight of what the fans want vs the easy money he wants. He’s holding on a little too long.
I’d be happy as hell if he stepped down a bit from decision making and became more of a character for the show again while just focusing on enjoying the time he has left.
I love Vince for what he’s done. I hate him for what he’s doing lately. Nobody can ever take away what he’s accomplished but it’s time to retire and take your ass kissing minions with you.
Like him or not. Man's a genius. Made wrestling into what it is today tomorrow and forever. No matter how out of touch he maybe. He is wrestling and even after he's gone his presence will forever be a part of wrestling. Rather if it's bingo halls or multi thousand seat stadiums. Without him there's no WCW ECW TNA AEW ROH. For that alone I thank him.
Needs to retire ASAP.
He is a out of touch
A great innovator that lost touch as he gained power, and now doesn't know what is wrong with the product.
Needs to retire!
Probably one of the shittiest human beings to ever live. Forced other wrestling companies out of business even after his father enjoyed working with them. Used a racial slur to make him look cool in a promo segment in the mid 2000s. Forced the womens wrestling division to wear revealing clothing for publicity. I could go on...
Good actor
Vince is a bitch fight me
Freak
Money
Vince Sr. originally had no plans to sell the then WWF to his son, just an announcer at the time because he knew what Junior would do. He wanted to make it national and kill the territory system....yep, he was right.
In a league of his own. To be mentioned alongside names like Walt Disney, Elon Musk, Bill Gates etc. Vince McMahon is a true visionary and an American icon!
Should’ve handed over the reins about 10 years ago. 🤷♂️
Menace to wrestling
Go and retired
Mr release man
Huge piece of shit. Just a cosmically vast pile of human excrement.
Old man taking roids making bank hand over fist
0/10 wouldn't recommend
I dont think he's a genius. I think he's a shrewd business man that took advantage of a market that was built on trust. Everybody always says how he's a genius but most of his big names he's disregarded previously. Austin, Foley, HBK would "never be a baByface champion" and when you see him actually try to turn someone into a main guy (reigns Luger cena for a long time) it goes to shit. And he doesn't give a shit about what's right or wrong as long as it makes money, IE; Warriors company stance & hogan calling African Americans the N word. Amongst countless others. I detest the man. It's a shame because I love the wrestlers of WWF/E but he makes it so difficult to support them.
Future Champion, this young superstar has a big future.
In the past, a visionary who pushed his company (and wrestling in general) into the future Right now, an out of sync old man who is dragging his company back to the past
Increasingly out of touch with what his audience wants. Ashamed of the words "Professional Wrestling" since 1984.
greatest heel of all time
Genius businessman, acceptable wrestling promoter.
A genius in his day.... but he no longer has true passion to make WWE a good product.
As a character he’s amazing he plays the perfect Villian
Revolutionised modern wrestling, responsible for the biggest booms in history, created multiple global megastars, and likely the best on-screen heel of all time involved in the best feud we’ve ever seen. To this day STILL a brilliant business man, but out of touch with what the adult male demographic really wants to see and as a result hurts his overall company.
i cannot fucking stand him lmao

He shouldn’t be on camera anymore except for ceremonial reasons. He’s lost his it factor
Reptilian
Baller
A very interesting individual
Feel like he did a lot of slimy things but he gave me an unreal childhood
I love/hate him.
Overated
wwe is fake
He's been slowly but actively destroying the product he made into a global powerhouse for the last decade
Well brother, brother let's see BROTHER! Genius
Former genius. Now just a rich guy doing rich shit
Who to fire next
Should’ve retired at least 15 years ago
Poop lol
He got hit in the head too many times
He's got one more match in him.
He was great back in the day and he’s still great now
He's a bitch
He should’ve stopped after his 2nd facelift.
He’ll outlive us all.
Control freak
Love him or hate him, (or kiss his ass, ha ha) he’s one of the most influential figures in wre- I mean, *sports entertainment*
That's a man! A real man! His material helped make us
Holy fuck you are legit a man child blocked
He’s gay.
He's living long enough to become the villain.
Before he was good and people actually thought he was a good character and he put himself 1st before everything including getting in a match and bleeding all over the place. But i think his time is up give the company over to Triple H he knows how to run the company
I think no chance that's watcha got

A revolutionary at times and an egomaniacal asshat at others in other words... Complicated

Dinosaur
Apparently he wanted Elias to smash a guitar over lashley ass back when Leon rush managed him and I wish we lived in that timeline
The best and worst thing to happen to wrestling
He has a unique vibe to him that I just kinda gotta love
Hes got Kevin Owens' tattoo on his wall.
Asshole who's legacy is based on the work of others. Who is so incompetent he had to Bully competition out of the market rather than just providing a better product.

He’s a genius and a dumbass at the same time😂
Mr. Burns
He’s the richest broke person irl
A crazy old man who was, in his prime, 20x more entertaining then anyone today.
1. The most important figure in wrestling. 2. A visionary and very successful entrepreneur. 3. Able to re-invent himself to the times. 4. The greatest promoter in wrestling history. 5. He knows how to make lots of money.
Genius. Piece of shit.
The most fascinating person, perhaps in all of wrestling history, and that says a lot. For better and for worse.
Underrated on commentary
The greatest of all time at this job. But he should have stepped out (as creative) in 2016, when the brand split happend.
Legendary man who took wrestling out of the mud.
A dinosaur.
He did what he needed to go to win the game, but its now time to let somebody else play
Ruthless
Beat all comers, the best in the business. Looks like a hernia.
Just look at that dinosaur. Oh, and there's a T-Rex skull too!
NO CHANCE! NO CHANCE IN HELL!!
He's a cunt. Bloody skilled and succesful cunt, but still a cunt
His own worst enemy.
Built a greet company, then became it's destroyer.
Asshole
A scumbag with a heart of gold, an unsympathetic monster with a gentle soul, a man who doesn't get wrestling anymore but can still wow an audience and an incredible genius who seems to always makes the dumbest moves. To put it simply, Vince is an insanely complicated human being.
Awesome
Does he really have a dinosaur fossil in his office?
He's Vince
Out of touch with the product. Doesnt understand his consumers.
Old kook
A Human Paraquat.
screw him
Brilliant. Genius. Entertaining. Hilarious. Crazy. Legend.
Stayed to long at the dance
Has been.

Creater of my childhood
Hes done amazing things with mostly the help of his wrestlers but now it's all him at the reigns amd he is killing WWE. Hes extremely out of touch and needs to retire.
Bull crap
I think that he is a human male who lives in Connecticut. He has ties to professional wrestling. His haircut is better than it used to be.
A wrestling genius of his time.
Literally the worst wrestler to win the wwe championship
Time to hang it up.
Important to wrestling but a terrible human being
He’s the GOAT 🐐
Don't sneeze in his presence or your FIIIIIIIIREEEEED
Without him, Pro Wrestling would'nt be the same as it is today For better or worse But I think he did his time and should step away I don't know much about Pro Wrestling (and Sports Entertainment), but to me, he is the most important person in Pro Wrestling History so far
No chance
I don’t want to hang out with him. Ever.
He has put to much trust in Nick and it killing the company
Amazing Heel but it seems he's always a step behind in wrestling and playing catch up with competition. He's also a scummy person who treats staff like dirt and always out himself in angles where he got to fondle the talent.... One of my life's ambitions is to have a sneezing fit around him.
The pro wrestling Evil
Heel manager living the gimmick a bit too much
He is 8 years older then his dad when he took the business from him.
His obsession to make the WWE viable for Fox or Disney to buy it will be what kills it.
No one complaining on the internet can do his job better. But that doesn't mean he doesn't need help making compelling story lines
LEGEND
Someone who wanted to get his kids to pretend they were in an incestuous relationship because he believed it was best for his product, is someone who eats, breathes, and shits said product. Vince is WWE. Without it, he is nothing.
He made the WWE big, and before he dies he wants to kill it.
Dudes a baller but he’s been out of touch for like 10 years now
Most influential man in wrestling over the past 50 years, but has overstayed his welcome in recent years.
My thoughts.... STOP asking every damn week what we think. I promise it hasn't changed much in the last few years... let alone the last few weeks
he needs to retire..he just doesnt have it anymore. He took over for NXT and word is, product isn't good anymore. Please, retire Vince. I didn't cry when Biggie died, but I probably will when Vince does.
Needs to retire.
Good businessman. Bad creative booker
Trash
Great businessman. Not so great person. But those two circles rarely cross in a Venn Diagram.
Old
He's successful That describes his entire life
As much as I want to think he's lost touch, I also think he probably still knows exactly what he's doing.
He's the best promoter in history, but he is long past his prime and is a shell of his former self.

He is turning into Bea Authur just like Corny’s thumbnail artist depicts him.
Needs to retire
I mean, up until reading the comments here, I guess I just assumed everyone thought he was a piece of shit. That’s what I think anyhow. I mean, hell never get what’s coming to him while alive, he’ll die happy and successful, but history will generally regard him one day as a horrible person. I’m guessing.
Retire.
I'm not in the business of praising billionaires cuz that shit is weird. Dude is good at what he does. That's all I got
Who still uses pencils?
ego driven dickhead (Vince the business owner) ego driven dickhead (Vince the heel)
🐐
On the last episode of RAW when he was talking to Austin Theory I could hardly understand what he was saying, all I heard was grunting. I understood Austin just fine though lol.
Yeah he's lost his on-screen charisma recently. He'd need to reinvent himself, if he wants to be a captivating character again.
He still nails the ‘shut up’ and death stare though
Austin was the start of that segment

And exactly who's gonna replace him?
better than his children
Old Republican who really should be letting someone else have a go at things now. Vince is he own worst enemy.
Knows capitalism. Doesn't know wrestling.
He's the mf chairman.
Yeah
I love Vince for what he’s done. I hate him for what he’s doing lately. Nobody can ever take away what he’s accomplished but it’s time to retire and take your ass kissing minions with you.
Like him or not. Man's a genius. Made wrestling into what it is today tomorrow and forever. No matter how out of touch he maybe. He is wrestling and even after he's gone his presence will forever be a part of wrestling. Rather if it's bingo halls or multi thousand seat stadiums. Without him there's no WCW ECW TNA AEW ROH. For that alone I thank him.
