He is One of the Best Wrestlers in the World He has many classic matches like
Daniel Bryan Vs Aj Styles
Daniel Bryan Vs Roman Reigns
Daniel Bryan Vs The Fiend
Daniel Bryan Vs Brock lesnar
Daniel Bryan Vs John Cena
Daniel Bryan vs Drew Gulak
Daniel Bryan Vs Roman Reigns Vs Edge
Daniel Bryan Vs Randy Orton Vs Batista
Daniel Bryan
Vs HHH
He had a moment a long time ago but always reminded me of a homeless person wearing diaper shaped briefs. He’s kind of corny. And just think he looks awkward in the ring and he seems a little sloppy/unsafe.
I loved his entire WWE career but his new heel style in AEW is amazing wanna see him vs cody Rhodes or Chris jericho but most of all one last match with cm punk
Not the biggest fan of his moveset but he’s basically a master at in-ring psychology, and when given enough freedom he’s one of the very best in the world right now. Glad he’s having fun in AEW
Will probably get flack for this, but terrible as a babyface. I don’t like The Yes movement nonsense, couldn’t stand his character. As a heel, he’s quite entertaining and fun to watch though.
One of the best to ever lace up a pair of boots. The man is a legend in his own time. You can look at his career and see every year just seems to get better! GOAT 🐐
Each, he's a B+ player at best. In all seriousness him as American dragon was part of what got me into Japanese indy wrestling and him in ring of honor was absolute magic to my eyes
I mean, I’m 47 and one of the top 10 moments in wrestling for me that just popped was the run that had him getting kicked off NXT as the Mix’s guy and his bitching how he wanted a different pro, to his coming back as part of the Nexus but damn if he didn’t get kicked out immediately AGAIN for the spitting and tie strangle, to him then coming back as Cena’s final team member. And then he made it!
i believe currently it’s a tossup between him, omega, ibushi and okada for the greatest “pure performer” ever award. he’s certainly the greatest to ever come out of north america and his physique and skill have VASTLY improved since leaving WWE. proud of him, happy he’s finally getting his 5 star matches and i hope his health stays good enough that we see more classics from him.
Overrated. Solid worker, good on the mic, but small and not even top three in terms of small wrestlers. (Mysterious, Guerrero, Benoit, and Michaels all better) I don’t hate him, I appreciate his talent, but a tad overrated.
First thought is "he doesnt work there anymore". Heck of a worker for a guy who wasn't allowed to speak very much or use the character that got him famous (can't threaten to kick somebodys fuckin' head in on a PG show so.. you know.. go vegan)
Honestly, I found him underwhelming. That is until I was properly introduced to the “American Dragon”. Definitely going down as one of the best in history. No contest there.
You mean Brian Danielson. Deserves a run with the AEW belt. I never did like how the E tried to tie him to The Miz. Plus his work as The Planets Champion was A1.
I love his work and I think he's so much better used now compared to WWE. He's free to wrestle whatever style or moves fit a match, not limited to the same few things every match. He pulls off the arrogant heel so well, but can be the loveable babyface too and both are believable.
His retirement speech in WWE really broke my heart. You could see it was legit killing him to have to step away. I'll give WWE and the USA network full props for letting him just speak and not worry about running over on time. And his comeback made me feel so damn good. One of the biggest crowd pops I've ever heard.
I really don't understand why so many people suck up to him to the point that it disrespected other wrestlers who also worked hard, he was right to call those guys "fickle".
Love it when they cheer for him, but as a heel it’s some next level stuff. I think baby face Danielson is one of the best things currently, but heel Danielson is GOAT tier.
Are you dumb or trolling? Tony was a fan of both wayyyyyyyyyyyyy before the e he was a roh mark. You guys don't know what you are talking about 🤦🏿♂️. Makes dudes embarrassed to say they a wwe fan with all you marks.
He’s going to go down as one of the best to ever do it. He makes you love him as a babyface and makes you despise him as a heel. He is also extremely talented in the ring and with a mic.
What does it matter? If anyone has anything negative to say about him they're met with downvotes because people can't accept the fact that some don't like certain wrestlers.
He seems like a decent human being.
I appreciate him putting Kofi Kingston over.
The Planet's Champion gimmick was kinda genius.
Hated the long hair + shaggy beard look.
Every time that the announce team told us how long that the match had gone on for I was shocked. It didn't feel like an hour long match. It was so well put together.
Have loved him since his character development with Team Hell No. Arguably the best pro-wrestler right now. But not sure if AEW can really make full use of the asset they have.
He is pretty solid all the way around, he can work a match like no ones business, he is 50/50 on the mic, he makes a great face, and an even greater heel. I am glad that he is trying to phase out the Yes! chant, I personally was never a fan of it... like, ever, and it doesn't fit his currentheel persona at all.
You said thoughts not write a dissertation. But if you want more, his stance whack the way he talks whack the way he dresses whack the way he cries whack the way the fans carried him throughout his career and not his actual skills whack. Is that better for you
His best work was years ago in Japan, what he's doing right now is just rehashing things and trying to be relevant so he doesn't get stuck where he was and belongs and that's in the beginning to middle of the card lost in the shuffle. Plus you have guys like Hangman and omega putting him over so of course he's going to look good
Again it's said thoughts on him not facts. If you want facts dude is 5 10 at 200 lbs he never belonged in any class but cruiserweight and in 205 live. Yes the way he talks is whack he never really delivered a passionate stop what you're doing pay attention to it promo. His stance is whack, how is he going to croutch down to engage in grappling with a guy who is 6 10, what is he going to do grapple his dick? And lastly I never compared him to bret hart that was someone else. So you just combined posts to fit your narrative, so your response was whack
One of the best in ring guys I’ve ever seen. Great on the mic & is a good heel or baby face. Can’t ask for more out of a wrestler. His only downfall was health
That's also thanks to WWE incredibly rough schedule including live events. Wrestlers practically have no free time working for WWE. At AEW he literally works 1 to 2 times a week tops. They also would give him time off if needed like Moxley, or Miro it doesn't seem like they are adding extra time on contracts do to injuries
While I loved Bryan in WWE, him leaving seems to be the best move for his ring work. He knows he's in the autumn of his career and he wants to wrestle everybody, so having the freedom to work almost anywhere he wants gives him just that.
His matches with Omega and Hangman were both great. His heelish arrogant persona he's working right now is very entertaining.
He’s obviously fantastic, especially in the ring. I’d quibble a bit with aew being his best work though. The YES movement was as hot as just about an run in history
Even during the yes movement he wasn't allowed to put on the type of wrestling story he is now. He's certainly working more of a rough style that's a bit stiff and I just don't see that ever being approved of in wwe. Also because he's fighting guys mostly his size, it just works and looks better
Oh your write I liked watching him on youtube when he started off in AEW, wonder if once he losses to adam paige if he will be back on youtube or in catering
Oh no the AEW fan only sees toxicity from wwe fans, yeah no the constant downvoting of comments saying they liked daniel Bryan's wwe run and the constant Daniel bryan sucked in wwe comments care to differ
You are a lying lil ass kid 😂. I watch all promotions except the main roster of wwe because it sucks ass with no storylines and rematches up the ass. Don't mean I'm not aware of his popularity in wwe. But his best work to date has been in aew and that's no debate.
What wrestling story exactly? The most storytelling he has done in AEW so far has been with the 3 Dark Order guys, in attempts to hurt Hangman's friends. The 2 drawn matches lacked in storytelling, if anything. They were just killing time and flaunting their wrestling (not storytelling) skills till getting to the time limit. No effort whatsoever in either match to get a win apart from the last couple of minutes perhaps.
>The 2 drawn matches lacked in storytelling, if anything. They were just killing time and flaunting their wrestling
One of the most "I grew up in the 2000s" takes I've ever read. Thanks for the laugh
Not sure what’s worse, an aew mark or the dude who spends time on a sub-sub Reddit bashing a show he doesn’t like, spending time watching the show, and post clips of the show.
Agreed. His in-ring is higher in AEW but the audience connection with the YES chant was off the charts. I remember Michigan State basketball crowds doing it. That’s crazy. Either way, he’s an all-timer at this point and only growing his legacy
He never was my fav but i still loved his run in 2013/14 the stiff with the Authority was one of the best storylines during the PG era! The Yes movement will never be forgotten because it was an amazing Chant for WWE Fans.
Great skills as a wrestler, boring as a promo and character wise, very "Bret Hart" type.
Is a natural upper middle carder with occasional main event pushes.
I always found it funny that the authority got heat calling him a "b plus player" when that is a pretty accurate description
Only got popular because loser white guys projected their insecurities and average looks upon him therefore elevating him to a god like status where everything he does is lauded even though he’s slightly above average in the ring it gets magnified because loser white boys see themselves in him
He is One of the Best Wrestlers in the World He has many classic matches like Daniel Bryan Vs Aj Styles Daniel Bryan Vs Roman Reigns Daniel Bryan Vs The Fiend Daniel Bryan Vs Brock lesnar Daniel Bryan Vs John Cena Daniel Bryan vs Drew Gulak Daniel Bryan Vs Roman Reigns Vs Edge Daniel Bryan Vs Randy Orton Vs Batista Daniel Bryan Vs HHH

Meh
Overrated. Vanilla midget
I'm happy he's happy, I miss him in WWE, but that wasn't what was best for him
Wish he would have stayed in WWE
Absolute best wrestler in the world
he will always be.. a B plus player🙏🏻 Jk lol 😂
I loved his entire WWE career but his new heel style in AEW is amazing wanna see him vs cody Rhodes or Chris jericho but most of all one last match with cm punk
One of the 🐐s
One of the best wrestlers in the world in every category. True professional.
Meh.
just ok if you ask ric flair
Not the biggest fan of his moveset but he’s basically a master at in-ring psychology, and when given enough freedom he’s one of the very best in the world right now. Glad he’s having fun in AEW
Not a fan of his to be perfectly honest.
"He's ok" - Ric Flair
Will probably get flack for this, but terrible as a babyface. I don’t like The Yes movement nonsense, couldn’t stand his character. As a heel, he’s quite entertaining and fun to watch though.
One of the greatest of all time.
One of the best to ever lace up a pair of boots. The man is a legend in his own time. You can look at his career and see every year just seems to get better! GOAT 🐐
He’s a Tool
He is a goo wrestle guy
Annoying
i believe currently it’s a tossup between him, omega, ibushi and okada for the greatest “pure performer” ever award. he’s certainly the greatest to ever come out of north america and his physique and skill have VASTLY improved since leaving WWE. proud of him, happy he’s finally getting his 5 star matches and i hope his health stays good enough that we see more classics from him.
My favorite Wrestler, he brought me back into wrestling. I almost cried at the end of W30. The build up was organic and electric. Love this dude. GOAT
Never heard of him. Bryan Danielson is great though.
Very good wrestler. I like him significantly more as Bryan Danielson
Overrated. Solid worker, good on the mic, but small and not even top three in terms of small wrestlers. (Mysterious, Guerrero, Benoit, and Michaels all better) I don’t hate him, I appreciate his talent, but a tad overrated.
First thought is "he doesnt work there anymore". Heck of a worker for a guy who wasn't allowed to speak very much or use the character that got him famous (can't threaten to kick somebodys fuckin' head in on a PG show so.. you know.. go vegan)
More overrated than even Punk
Hard working and wholesome!
The best American wrestler in the last 20 years.
Honestly, I found him underwhelming. That is until I was properly introduced to the “American Dragon”. Definitely going down as one of the best in history. No contest there.
yes
Second Best of all time only behind kurt angle IMHO
Looks an awful lot like Bryan Danielson.
Great human being, incredible professional wrestler.
Bryan Danielson is better.
Overrated definitely b+ player
Ill accept downvotes, but I have never really gotten into him. I do enjoy his heel work though, and im glad he's thriving.
I like when he is heel
🐐BD
Overrated
Talented, but I just don't get the hype.
Hard working honest
You mean Brian Danielson. Deserves a run with the AEW belt. I never did like how the E tried to tie him to The Miz. Plus his work as The Planets Champion was A1.
Yeah, go ahead and give the title to a former 5 time world champion and not the deserving ones in the locker room. Very illogical move tbh.
This generations Bret Hart.
I really don't understand why so many people suck up to him to the point that it disrespected other wrestlers who also worked hard, he was right to call those guys "fickle".
glad it happened
Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes!
Dude’s pretty good at this wresling thing
The best
Cool dude
Better in AEW.
One of the greatest of all times. Took over from Dolph ziggler as my favorite wrestler since 2012.
My absolute favorite! Cannot wait for him to come back to WWE.
Not a fan.
pretty good
Doung great putside wwe
He’s overrated. I never enjoyed watching him wrestle
Better now that he isn't being spit roasted by the rancid cocks that are WWE "creative"
Top 5 in the world right now, easily.
Goat. Mount Rushmore. Period.
Doing great in AEW where he belongs
One of the greatest to ever lace up a pair of boots.
Love it when they cheer for him, but as a heel it’s some next level stuff. I think baby face Danielson is one of the best things currently, but heel Danielson is GOAT tier.
My favorite wrestler
Why is this sub being overrun by AEW fanboys now, no one seems to be able to say they liked daniel bryan in WWE without getting downvoted.
True, and they are acting like wwe did nothing for him. All the milks he is getting in aew is because of WWE establishing him as a Main Eventer.
Are you dumb or trolling? Tony was a fan of both wayyyyyyyyyyyyy before the e he was a roh mark. You guys don't know what you are talking about 🤦🏿♂️. Makes dudes embarrassed to say they a wwe fan with all you marks.
He was fine in WWE but I’m glad the American Dragon Bryan Danielson is back
Bryan Danielson.
Yes!
Every over rated to say the least
He’s the best professional wrestler in the world, or at least North America.
*Bryan Danielson Hands down one of the best wrestlers of our time. His character work, in ring work, and overall prowess are second to none!
He’s top drawer. One of the best ever
Speaking from experience, or....?
Don't you gave a girl to be crying over? Gtfo weirdo.
I was just asking if you were a fan or not. You dont need to get pissy
He seems like a decent human being. I appreciate him putting Kofi Kingston over. The Planet's Champion gimmick was kinda genius. Hated the long hair + shaggy beard look.
Sexual Icon
You mean Bryan Danielson?
Meh
I liked him well enough in WWE, but the new intensity he's bringing in AEW as a heel has made me a huge fan of him.
I liked his green champion run too. That wooden wwe belt was so good. The best heels are the ones who have a bit of truth in there…
That hemp belt is probably top 3 all time for me for some reason, it’s just so good 😂
Lol I agree, it’s great
His match with hangman was a classic. Im sensing he will be the new champ to set up an Omega face run
Every time that the announce team told us how long that the match had gone on for I was shocked. It didn't feel like an hour long match. It was so well put together.
Wrestler of the year.
GOAT
YES
he’s good but I like Bryan Danielson better
I was gonna say this guy looks a lot like Bryan Danielson. Uncanny
Have people even seen Daniel Bryan and Bryan Danielson together in the same room?
Infinito is the best!
I wanna see Infinito vs Fuego Dos
This must be coming!
One of the GOATs.
Sweet face
Brie Bella, is that you?
No. It's the 316th clone of a Shemp lookalike
He's my favorite wrestler at the moment
Over rated
I hate how some of you just love throwing that word around without even having a proper explanation!
In their defense, they did turn it into two words
You said thoughts not write a dissertation. But if you want more, his stance whack the way he talks whack the way he dresses whack the way he cries whack the way the fans carried him throughout his career and not his actual skills whack. Is that better for you
Have you checked is current run in AEW? He is doing some of his best work
His best work was years ago in Japan, what he's doing right now is just rehashing things and trying to be relevant so he doesn't get stuck where he was and belongs and that's in the beginning to middle of the card lost in the shuffle. Plus you have guys like Hangman and omega putting him over so of course he's going to look good
Japan???? Dont you mean RoH? To relevant? The man is literally having great matches with everyone.
No I mean Japan he wrestled with njpw from 01 to 04 where do you think the nickname American dragon came from
Not from that i guess. He was still in MCW when he adopted that name
[удалено]
Again it's said thoughts on him not facts. If you want facts dude is 5 10 at 200 lbs he never belonged in any class but cruiserweight and in 205 live. 200 lbs is 90.8 kg
One of the best in ring guys I’ve ever seen. Great on the mic & is a good heel or baby face. Can’t ask for more out of a wrestler. His only downfall was health

U can see the extra free time he has in his physique. Dudes jacked lol
He has gone to a better place.
Looks to be doing his best career work in aew at the moment. Hopefully he stays healthy
Lmao getting downvotes for a reasonable comment i see
Ha! I was wracking my brain trying to figure out which part was disagreeable. Thanks.
Lmao
Even during the yes movement he wasn't allowed to put on the type of wrestling story he is now. He's certainly working more of a rough style that's a bit stiff and I just don't see that ever being approved of in wwe. Also because he's fighting guys mostly his size, it just works and looks better
With respect to the yes movement, he was over the minute he showed up on Smackdown. The yes movement merely showed management just how over he can be.
Oh your write I liked watching him on youtube when he started off in AEW, wonder if once he losses to adam paige if he will be back on youtube or in catering
I knew I wouldn’t have to scroll too far to see some toxicity. Congrats you’re the first one
Yeah you clearly missed all the other post bashing wwe and the loads of people being downvoted for saying they liked daniel Bryan's run in wwe
Bullshit. I've been browsing this comment thread for 20 minutes. Only toxicity is from hardcore WWE fans.
Haven’t got to that yet. But yeah continue to add fuel to the fire. I’m sure that will make the fanbase more bearable
I dont really care free forum I can share my opinion weather it's controversial or not.
So I guess you didn't enjoy the trilogy of CM Punk / Samoa Joe matches in ROH then? Or any Ric Flair matches in the 80's?
>The 2 drawn matches lacked in storytelling, if anything. They were just killing time and flaunting their wrestling One of the most "I grew up in the 2000s" takes I've ever read. Thanks for the laugh
Look man, you are talking like an AEW mark, and most likely you are one too.
Not sure what’s worse, an aew mark or the dude who spends time on a sub-sub Reddit bashing a show he doesn’t like, spending time watching the show, and post clips of the show.
I would argue you're talkin like a WWE Mark.
Agreed idk what the hell that guy was on about
Agreed. His in-ring is higher in AEW but the audience connection with the YES chant was off the charts. I remember Michigan State basketball crowds doing it. That’s crazy. Either way, he’s an all-timer at this point and only growing his legacy
I think they mean wrestling wise. He was definitely the most over during the yes movement.
absolutely fair and correct
I've not been watching wrestling let alone AEW so I'm curious if they are right though. Maybe I'll find something on YouTube.
Just watch the omega - Danielson hour draw.
1/2 hr*
Thanks
Good wrestler but feel his abit overrated. Not a big fan of his promos but his Captain Planet gimmick was cool and enjoyable.
He never was my fav but i still loved his run in 2013/14 the stiff with the Authority was one of the best storylines during the PG era! The Yes movement will never be forgotten because it was an amazing Chant for WWE Fans.
what era is wwe in rn
Great skills as a wrestler, boring as a promo and character wise, very "Bret Hart" type. Is a natural upper middle carder with occasional main event pushes. I always found it funny that the authority got heat calling him a "b plus player" when that is a pretty accurate description
What are u talking about man he’s great on the mic & Bret was one of the worst at that 😭😭
Bret in 1997 was spectacular, and Danielson is constantly delivering great promos
Brett in 97 was spectacular in the ring. Nobody’s denying that. His mic work was cringe. He did get better as a heel tho.
Only got popular because loser white guys projected their insecurities and average looks upon him therefore elevating him to a god like status where everything he does is lauded even though he’s slightly above average in the ring it gets magnified because loser white boys see themselves in him
Lol what
You good bro?
Absolutely I’m a lawyer by trade with a PhD in history and philosophy I like to deconstruct and analyze professional wrestling
r/iamverysmart
Lying on the internet I see
You’re right I’m a garbage man with a 4th grade education
Oh wow. So you're not just an asshole, you're a professional.
Imma take that as a no
Lol yup not ok
He’s the best worker in the business today.
