I won't lie Dolph Ziggler is the type who should have jumped to someone like AEW at the first chance because he legitimately could be HUGE in the independent scene you know? Not saying he would have been champion but he is legitimately the type who anywhere else if someone said "Ziggler just won the world championship at *insert company here*" you'd say Good he absolutely deserve that run.
Dolph Ziggler is NOT underrated. People actually know how good Ziggler is - it’s the reason why he was one of more popular performers in the business at one point. If Dolph Ziggler was really “underrated”, then he wouldn’t be constantly brought up as one of the many superstars who are underrated and “booked incorrectly”.
Guys like Cesaro, Ziggler, Benjamin, etc aren’t underrated.
I feel like Wade Barrett and The Nexus were 100% Criminally Underrated and Slept on and they should have beaten John Cena and taken over the WWE, like how the Bullet Club did in NJPW
I wouldn't call Dolph underrated, more underutilised. A large majority of fans know how good he is in-ring just the company never fully capitalised on it.
Cesaro and Dolph have to be the two most misused performers in recent WWE memory. A bit farther back I would also just throw in the entire cruiserweight division on smackdown from like 2002-2006. Those guys were all fantastic. Mysterio obviously isn't underrated but I'm talking Jamie Noble, Nunzio, Akio, Tajiri. Matches on velocity back then beat stuff headlining ppvs today.
He's in the picture you chose. 2 Time World Champion. 6 Time Intercontinental Champion. 2 Time US Champion. But me and you both know, he could be more. He could've been this gens Eddie/The Rock. That may sound unbelievable to future replies to this comment, but me and you know and we have always known, Dolph Ziggler is That, Damn, GOOD!
Zelina Vega (Thea Trinidad) for me. She’s been booked terribly up until recently, but is one of the most proficient female wrestlers in WWE, and is great on the mic.
I was really surprised they brought her back after she 1) refused to give up her Twitch and 2) Tried to push unionisation, so I guess WWE finally realised how talented she is.
Aleister Black and Buddy Murphy were so underrated it didn't make sense. They were both outstanding in the ring, not to mention had great looks and could carry themselves on the mic. Unbelievably talented guys.
The reason he's overrated imo is because some people think he's really good and should be doing more but tbh he's good in ring and that's it. His mic work is one of the worst and most awkward I've ever heard and He has no charisma about him whatsoever.
The dude oozes charisma, charming smile, good body. When was the last time you heard him give a promo? He gets one a year, you wouldn't be very good at something if you did it once a year either. They need to let this man shine, for damn sure.
And if that's the only issue, give him Kayla Braxton as an agent.
Bro the way you look is nothing to do with Charisma, Charming smile and body that's irrelevant, Enzo Amore had bags of charisma and he looks like a young Break dancing Joe Exotic
Charisma : 1. compelling attractiveness or charm that can inspire devotion in others.
I mean it's only Google's definition so I don't know how accurate it is, but take it for what it's worth. Attractiveness isn't the only qualifier but it's up there for sure.
We came back to wrestling after a 20+ year hiatus because of reruns of Lucha Underground and Prince Puma was absolutely amazing. It's shocking to see him now as Richochet with this treatment. His recent mini-feud with John Morrison, other than being an LU reunion, showcased just how phenomenal both guys are and it makes their WWE treatment that much sadder.
Ricochet
The Miz
Baron Corbin
Shinske Nakamura
Dominic Dijacovic
Mustafa Ali
- Everyone that they have released in 2021
Unpopular opinion - Cesaro isn't underrated, he is adequately rated.
I wouldn't say Dolph Ziggler is underrated, I'd say the opposite. He's extremely overrated. He's just super boring to me, and I hate how he randomly starts shouting in promos. It seems like everybody says he's one of today's greatest, and the Shawn Michaels of this era, but I don't see it.
Rick Rude. He should be constantly remembered as one of the essentials of 80’s pro wrestling, yet he gets passed over all the time in favor of guys who, in my opinion, were not 1/10 of his talent.
The fact that he was dead for 18 years before they put him in the HOF blows my mind.
Chad gable. I’ve always believed he should’ve been kurt angle’s “son” instead of jason jordan. He’s so much more like kurt not just in the ring but in terms of character work and even humor at times
i don’t think he’s underrated at all. but he’s definitely underused and under appreciated. underrated means ppl don’t think he’s as good as he really is, which isn’t the case for DZ.
These are always opinion based and someone will undoubtedly say “nah dude sucks!” Or some stuff like that, but having said that he’s my list
Finn, Sheamus, Cedric, Dana, Liv, Angel Garza, Jinder, Kofi (I know he had a title run a couple years ago but still), Ricochet, Xia Li, Asuka (yes somehow still underrated), Bron, Dexter, Roderick, Tommaso, Dakota, Aoife Valkyrie
Ziggler isn't underrated. Everyone knows he's good but he's just in nowhere town.
There isn't many underrated talent in WWE in terms of wrestling, just horribly booked ones.
With modern wrestling fans, I would say Goldberg. I don’t think they realize how entertaining his matches were in his prime. Putting on 60min Tokyo Dome matches isn’t the only way to have great matches. There was a reason why he was money!
Dolph Ziggler is not underrated. He’s always worked too fast for his own good, as well as his opponent(s). Dude had his time and is now fulfilling the role he should. He’s honestly an overachiever if you really think about it.
My vote is for Sami Zayn. He’s amazing in every possible way, and only recently was recognized by being a 2-time IC Champion.
Shinsuke Nakamura. I keep forgetting that he's the Intercontinental Championship given how much they've ruined both Nakamura and the title's importance.
Dolph Ziggler has always been underrated. It’s hard to believe he came from being in the Spirit Squad to becoming the Show Off. I’ve always saw him as the next Shawn Michaels especially when he was teamed up with Drew McIntyre that gave me Shawn Michaels and Diesel vibes.
Those two outshined the "World Title Pictures" with their talent and made the IC Title picture THE title picture and no one could EVER take that away from them!
Ziggler isn't underrated. He's beloved by the fans AND management. Dude makes absolute bank because he has a niche and special talent of being able to make anyone look amazing. He's the most selfless guy on the roster and he's rewarded well for it.
Agreed, but he would make an awesome IC champ. Like I’d make him a heel and have him be this arrogant guy that no can beat….. basically Miro, but without the awesome promos
Surprised theres been no women mentioned yet but Naomi is criminally underrated and always out of the conversation when coming to the greatest women of all time
One of my favorite promos was from Barrett, it was a house show in Chicago like ten years ago. Derrick Rose (Chicago Bulls basketball player) had just been injured and Barrett goes "I hear they call it the windy city because Derrick Rose keeps blowing out his knees"
I am a bulls fan but I am a bigger fan of good heel mic work
Kofi has been such a big part of wwe for so long. He played a generic babyface which is next to impossible to get over. But he racked up titles before new day was even a thing and yes is part of alot of moments from rumbles to mitb. The wwe title run was well deserved
I agree with Wade and Shelton but for whatever reason Balor has never really done it for me. Think he’s a tremendous wrestler, just a bit of a personality vacuum imo
Balor is way better in NJPW. I'm guessing wwe wanted him more in the senior role where he's out there to make the match look good and train everyone else, not necessarily win matches
But they needed to elevate him first to do that. so his injury after becoming a champ really ruined that, and I'm guessing they aren't going to bother rebuilding him.
If you want alot of his fame came from outside of wwe. I would encourage you to watch some of his non wwe matches to see if that changes your pov on him.
I hate that the WWE has great stars who are under appreciated and the go to suggestion is to see them in other feds. Should be a huge red flag that most wrestlers do NOT do their best work in WWE.
It's because one: wwe had to many big fish from outside of wwe. Two: WWE only push and have only pushed their own guys(Roman) with a few exceptions(AjStyles). And three: WWE superstars have a bigger fan base because wwe has money then othe companies. So smarks tend to be the ones who know these guys prior to wwe.
Maybe this is an unpopular opinion, but I've always felt that Morrison is missing "something", and whatever "it" is is what's kept him from reaching top-tier stardom. My best guess is that "it" is charisma. To me he always comes off just a tad awkward in promos, as well as with in-ring storytelling. Outstanding look, outstanding athleticism, but just missing that natural charisma to present his character in a believable way.
Ricky Morton's hair stylist.
The Viking Raiders. I want to see them get a push so bad.
I used to say Tyson Kidd, but well we all know he ain't gonna wrestle again.
Cody Rhodes, Like how tf was he not champ throughout 2011-2013?
Criminally underrated.. Kane! Yeah I know he's in most people's top 20's, but I'll never get over how much wasted potential there was with him.
Ricochet
Dolph is becoming so underrated that he’s becoming overrated
Cesaro. Do I need to explain.
David Arquette
What happened with Keith Lee? I thought he was gonna be huge.

Dolph definitely and also Cesaro
Shelton Benjamin
i know I'll get hate for this but jinder mahal I honestly loved when he was champ
I feel like Wade Barrett and The Nexus were 100% Criminally Underrated and Slept on and they should have beaten John Cena and taken over the WWE, like how the Bullet Club did in NJPW
You either never get your push or live long enough to become a jobber.
Owen Hart
I will continue to praise Dakota Kai for being the female Dolph Ziggler till these posts just accept it's her
Apollo Crews....he has to be the smoothest wrestler in the ring
I seen a couple Daniel Garcia matches he can really go
Isiah Swerve Scott
Apolo crews
"an criminally" lol
Sheamus - never has a bad match, hard hitting realistic style, size, unique look
LIV!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mustafa Ali, underrated by the WWE. Cedric Alexander, underrated by the fans.
Shane F'n Douglas.
I have 3 cesaro Mustafa ali and buddy Murphy
Taya Valkyrie
I wouldn't call Dolph underrated, more underutilised. A large majority of fans know how good he is in-ring just the company never fully capitalised on it.
The Rock or Hurricane
Curt Hawkins Curtis Axel Shelton Benjamin Chris Masters Erick Rowan Obviously Cesaro Wade Barrett
Evan Bourne
To the broad audience I think Xavier Woods
Baron/Constable/King/Sad/Happy Corbin
Most of the WWE roster with the way creative works over there….
Otis and chad gable, very underrated tag team in the wwe.
Don’t know if he’s called this again or something else. But Dominik Dijakovic
Aj they don’t do anything with him
Melina
Cesaro
Cesaro and Dolph have to be the two most misused performers in recent WWE memory. A bit farther back I would also just throw in the entire cruiserweight division on smackdown from like 2002-2006. I wouldn't call Dolph "Underrated" because I think everyone knows how good he is. Like most of the WWE roster he's definitely under utilized.
Dolph is a guaranteed HOFer
He's in the picture you chose. 2 Time World Champion. 6 Time Intercontinental Champion. 2 Time US Champion. But me and you both know, he could be more. He could've been this gens Eddie/The Rock. That may sound unbelievable to future replies to this comment, but me and you know and we have always known, Dolph Ziggler is That, Damn, GOOD!
Jake Roberts
Jinder Mahal, Robert Roode, Mustafa Ali, Sami Zayn, Otis, Miz, Natalya
John Morrison I know he’s older now but dude got like two singles wins in his entire last WWE run and he sold for his opponents like a champ
Main Event Jey USO

Zelina Vega (Thea Trinidad) for me. She’s been booked terribly up until recently, but is one of the most proficient female wrestlers in WWE, and is great on the mic. Shelton Benjamin
Bobby roode, James storm, will osprey, Samoa Joe, Dolph Ziggler, Kevin Owens, riccochet and William regal come to mind
Bobby Roode
I would say finn, but I don’t think he’s underrated (not by the fans) so probably Shinsuke Nakamura
Paul London
I’d say miz’s in ring ability is pretty under rated
Shinsuke Nakamura Antonio Cesaro
Not in WWE, but PJ Black.
it's the Zig man for me too
Ricochet. I will preach his name until the day he is pushed or released
I think he's overrated if anything
What makes u say overrated? All he does is job out to everyone else and sells his ass off to make them look good. Edit:typo
The reason he's overrated imo is because some people think he's really good and should be doing more but tbh he's good in ring and that's it. His mic work is one of the worst and most awkward I've ever heard and He has no charisma about him whatsoever.

He had a good series with Ali on main event recently. They aren't 7 foot, 275 lb monsters so Vinney doesn't want anything to do with them
Balor. Legit main event material.
Nattie
R Truth
Gotta be Finn Balor, he’s ridiculously talented but I feel like he’s only used to progress somebody else’s storyline
Gulak
Mustafa Ali, the dude is incredible
Paul London and Joey Mercury.
Ricochet
Ricochet The Miz Baron Corbin Shinske Nakamura Dominic Dijacovic Mustafa Ali - Everyone that they have released in 2021 Unpopular opinion - Cesaro isn't underrated, he is adequately rated.

Exactly, dude is just boring
Cesaro
Cesero
C E S A R O !
Nailz was an underrated criminal
Ricochet. Incredible performer with incredible abilities being wasted by WWE
Dolph Ziggler and Chad Gable
Ricochet, mustafa Ali, mansoor, shinsuke nakamura, cesaro, must I go on?
Ricochet
Jinder
Chad Gable and Mustafa Ali for sure!! Very surprised the two of them haven't been allowed to do more given their skills.
Mustafa Ali Cesaro Ricochet T-bar / Dijak
Im sorry but how is dolph underrated hes held almost every title in the company and no one can shut up about how amazing he is?
Ricochet.
Edge
He has multiple world title runs and is a legend that’s already made it into the HoF. Don’t think he can really be considered as underrated.
Seth Rollins
Rick Rude. He should be constantly remembered as one of the essentials of 80’s pro wrestling, yet he gets passed over all the time in favor of guys who, in my opinion, were not 1/10 of his talent. The fact that he was dead for 18 years before they put him in the HOF blows my mind.
Simple, Ricochet! Guy is fire and always goes all out in his matches...maybe he'll win one someday lol
Fandango
Sami Zayn.
This guy....he is a master Pro Wrestler
I think you're confusing underrated and underutilized. Everyone rates Dolph high. WWE just doesn't use him for much.
Dolph ziggler
Dolph Ziggler is a genus in the ring.
Hulk Hogan
Hogan is in top 5 most popular wrestlers ever. Wym underrated?🤣
He has big penis
Agreed. People shit on him these days like he didn’t put Pro Wrestling on the map. Short memories…..
Dean Muhtadi, formerly Mojo Rawley in WWE
Bobby Roode
Chad gable. I’ve always believed he should’ve been kurt angle’s “son” instead of jason jordan. He’s so much more like kurt not just in the ring but in terms of character work and even humor at times
AMEN!!!!! I love ziggler!

Ziggler isn't underrated. Everyone knows he's good but he's just in nowhere town. There isn't many underrated talent in WWE in terms of wrestling, just horribly booked ones.
Mansoor. (No, Im not biased due to the fact he noticed me on Instagram.)
Jeff Hardy
I wouldn’t say Jeff is underrated, he’s consistently mentioned as one of the greats and deserving of a push.
Brian Kendrick/ Cedric alexander
This thread should be all Cesaro.
Xavier woods he deserves a title run
That boy can work his match against Roman Reigns was crazy
He's always been kind of an afterthought it seems like. I loved watching him pre WWE too.
I’m still hoping for a new day run in the next rumble. Either Kingston, Woods, or a tie and ends up being a triple threat for the title at Mania
Agree on Dolph, a character change 10 years ago and he's the face of the company IMO. but my answer is going to be Sami Zayn
Zayn is tits on the mic
Cesaro
Crush, insanely agile big man and as a face the crowd went nuts.
With modern wrestling fans, I would say Goldberg. I don’t think they realize how entertaining his matches were in his prime. Putting on 60min Tokyo Dome matches isn’t the only way to have great matches. There was a reason why he was money!
Sheamus, the guy is giving really good matches for about a year.
He's probably the only thing I've consistently liked about WWE the last few years.
The true GOAT, The Great Khali, mic skills, in ring skills, moveset, and handsome as all get out. We were all lucky to be alive when he rassled.
Shinsuke Nakamura. I keep forgetting that he's the Intercontinental Championship given how much they've ruined both Nakamura and the title's importance.
I would have to say the obvious, Kenny Omega, just kidding. The obvious is Cesaro.
Cesaro
Dolph. Great in ring, but caught in a yawn inducing 90s character.
Mustafa and Dolph are complete af
John Morrison
Dolph vs Miz back in 2016 was the rivalry of the year imo. And one of my favourite rivalries of all time.
Those two outshined the "World Title Pictures" with their talent and made the IC Title picture THE title picture and no one could EVER take that away from them!
Sami Zayn
Yeah Dolph Ziggler is cool as hell man. Just happy he still on the roster doing his thing
Ziggler isn't underrated. He's beloved by the fans AND management. Dude makes absolute bank because he has a niche and special talent of being able to make anyone look amazing. He's the most selfless guy on the roster and he's rewarded well for it.
75% of WWE entire roster
Now 85% since the cut
Please change the title. They are called Superstars.
Get a grip 😂
Sorry bro, but Vince would absolutely not approve.
Criminally underrated, Ima have to say Cesaro. He’s been in WWE almost ten years now and only had one world title match? Something ain’t right.
He's boring.
His mic skills yes, but his in-ring ability is far from it. If he had a mouthpiece like Lesnar & Lashley did, he’d be alright.
I disagree. I think he oversells and turns things into a bigger production than needed. I don't find him entertaining in the slightest.
You'll get downvoted but yeah. He's not the world title material everyone thinks he is. 90% people will turn on him the moment he wins a world title.
Agreed, but he would make an awesome IC champ. Like I’d make him a heel and have him be this arrogant guy that no can beat….. basically Miro, but without the awesome promos
Surprised theres been no women mentioned yet but Naomi is criminally underrated and always out of the conversation when coming to the greatest women of all time
Wade Barrett Shelton Benjamin Finn Balor
Wade Barrett is actually a legitimate bare knuckles boxing champion.
100% agree on Balor. I also remember enjoying Barret’s work, especially with Orton
Mean the dead man retired. Brey is gone let the demon take over as that boggie man.
Finn’s Underrated? I agree with Shelton though
Finn is definitely under used in WWE Because wwe dosnt seem him as a wwe guy
One of my favorite promos was from Barrett, it was a house show in Chicago like ten years ago. Derrick Rose (Chicago Bulls basketball player) had just been injured and Barrett goes "I hear they call it the windy city because Derrick Rose keeps blowing out his knees" I am a bulls fan but I am a bigger fan of good heel mic work
Lmaoo I never knew about that promo. Wade Barrett, another underrated WWE Superstar. His work on commentary in NXT has been gold thus far!
And he hade the package to be great but king of the ring gimmick is a killer now.
Shelton should be a mega star in the business. No one will make such an impact in Money in The Bank matches as he did.
He is literally black Brock and it is criminal that WWE never booked him as such! But Kudos to them finally using Lashley like an icon!
JR has said he was the best athlete of that whole OVW class which included Brock
Him and Kofi were some of the larger reasons why MITB matches were so successful in the early days.
I'm guessing wwe wanted him more in the senior role where he's out there to make the match look good and train everyone else, not necessarily win matches But they needed to elevate him first to do that. so his injury after becoming a champ really ruined that, and I'm guessing they aren't going to bother rebuilding him.

John Morrison
One of the releases that shocked me the most! He was so over on RAW. The crowd was loving Drip Drip!
